should I wait june 1?? Original ko 31 had 18/32,rim protector,threebplybside wall. Just picked up set k02 wondering if I should return them before mounting. loved square shape new ones look oblong. If comming up with somthing similar old let me know

I own these tires (they are factory on my vehicle, '13 FJCTT) and have 23,000 miles logged on them. Here is what I have to say. The tread pattern, while very cool looking, is decades old in design. The tire it self is incredibly hard and tough, which is great when you're dropping it out of a helicopter, but when you actually need it to grip on dry pavement, wet conditions, or in just the lightest whiff of snow, you're left hanging. They transform from unremarkable road tires to terrifying wheel lock Russian Roulette. The tires are so hard that they will just slip at the slightest upset, be it steering or brake input, changes in grade, or bumps in the pavement. They are great when you're chewing through several inches of snow, off road tearing through gravel, or clawing trough mud, but other conditions leave you wanting and the characteristics of the tire instill trepidation instead of confidence. These tires have the off road look and durability lots of people are after, but when it comes to on road manners, you'd be lying to yourself if you were to say these had any at all. One positive is that they are fairly quiet as far as off road tires go. I haven't had the chance to try tackling a large rock or obstacle, but I suspect the might be lacking a bit if it came to climbing or descending steep rocks.
