    #MaltAcrivist... you pleasantly surprise me every time with your awesome videos and the selection of exquisite single malts. I have the Aberlour A’bunadh...had it only a couple of weeks ago... will definitely try to get hold of the others. Cheers

    Delectable list! Haven't had the good fortune to try all of these just yet, been hoping to chance upon an older A'Bunadh or 105 to begin with. Haven't gotten to regular CS indulgence, but the GlenDronach 12, Bunnahabhain 12 and Tamdhu 12 are wonderful drams for me.
    Hoping for an Islay aged in Sherry list from you soon! That's one heck of a delicious combo!

    A very well rounded list with two international distilleries. Kavalan seems to be the stand out there. Within the last year or two, Glenallachie became hugely popular. And Kilkerran too with some of their offerings. Excellent work, MA.

    • @MaltActivist
      @MaltActivist  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I agree! Glenallachie has been doing some great work. Kilkerran also had a wonderful sherry bomb at cask strength last year.

    Glenfarclas and Amrut are on my list for sure. Thanks for this. Instead of picking up random bottles I am now focusing on certain ones. Keeps me from just going in to the stores and spending my money mindlessly lol 🤦🏻‍♂️. Cheers 🥃

    A mouth watering list and have not been able taste the Glenfarclas and Glendronach. Have loved the Aberlour. Your content needs some more followers. You really research well and test and try before bringing out the video, keep doing the good work. Cheers

    I'm saving up for my first bottle of A'Bunadh. And, drawing down on others in the collection to make room in the cabinet. I enjoyed my bottle of Aberlour 12. I have a Glenfarclas 12 on hand. It's okay. My current Glendronach is their Port Wood. It's okay. Cavalan is not available here. One offering of Amrut is. My nomination is Auchentoshan Three Wood, which is bourbon aged and finished in Oloroso and then PX casks, and one of my current favorites. I also like the Glenmorangie Lasanta, as well as their port finished Quinta Ruban. Of course, the flavor profile I really sought was a modestly peated sherried whisky. The Benromach 15 is the big winner! My current top choice.

    Nice List, I agree with most of them, will have to try the Amrut. I would add The Macallan Classic cut if you can find one at retail, The Tamdhu CS, The Edradour, and the Glenallachie 10CS.

    The A'Bunadh and Glenfarclas 105 are 2 of my favourite 100% Sherried malts...however, the Glen Garioch 15yr Sherry Cask Matured (100% Orolosso at 53.7%) is my absolute favourite.

    The Solist you showed was casked on the 10/07/2006 (based on the cask no.) You can tell its overall age by looking at the bottle date etched into the bottle and getting the diffference

    Thanks for the video. It's all subjective to personal taste, but IMHO (and like the highlander), there can be only one, which is glendronach. I love the 18 & 21, (it used to be the 15 revival pre 2015 as well), even though I aint happy how much they have put the prices up. I have tried literrally 100's of malts over the years, and havent found a sherry bomb match out there that gives me the slightly sweeter 'christmas cake' experience & nose i like, although i havent had the CS or kavalan yet - did i say it's all about personal preference lol. No Tamdhu and No Edradour? It’s hard to find much better than them IMO especially something like Edradour 12 Single cask. If that bottle had the words Easter Elchies or Black Bow, it would be worth thousands. That’s how good than thing is.

      @@MaltActivist Yeah, a 10 years old cask strength with this price, I don’t see why they don’t emphasise it more. Might be due to consistency of the cask strength series bottles?
