Seeing the dolphin jump out of the water over Becka's shoulder as she spoke was magical! Blessings for a happy & healthy new year, Becka & Zach. Safe travels ❤
I remember seeing you in mayflower when we were in on our boat and thinking that you were destined to become one of the best sailing channels. Well you are nailing it, total respect to where you are now. Really well done.
You know its a brilliant channel when you are excited for every video and very sad and disappointed when the video ends. All the best for the new year, safe and happy travels to you both! 🙏
Happy New Year guys!🎆🥂 As a Venezuelan it hurts my heart when everyone says stay way from Venezuelan waters and coast, of course, I do understand why. It’s such a shame as we have such beautiful beaches and islands, but the pirates have made it impossible. Anyway, all my best wishes for this 2024. Love and be safe!🤗😘🌼🇻🇪
I have been sailing my whole life and all over the world. I have liked you guys because you keep it real. Please don;t turn into the generic TH-cam channel that over plays everything for the clicks. You guys tell a great story, keep up with that. Don't go down the drama path, trust me the area you are in is nowhere near the dangerous and treacherous area you are claiming. Keep up with the great story you tell of the places you visit. With today's technology it makes trips so much safer.
Yea I agree, I've no experience in the area, but I do know I've un subbed froma lot of the drama channels, I love they way you guys present your life! Real! ❤
If you haven´t already: try binge watch "Sampson Boat Co". Leo and his crew are rebuilding an old wooden yacht named Tally Ho. They are not sailing yet but they are getting there slowly. Top notch channel.
I have just found your channel and find myself binge watching your videos. i served in the Royal Navy and to sail the World as you both are was top of my bucket list to do once I left the navy, finding someone with the same dream was the problem. I look forward to following your amazing journey, you are an amazing couple and an inspiration to us all, may the wind be at your back, safe sailing, best wishes from a cold wet Wales :)
Beautiful sail guys, all those upgrades are showing their worth now. The prop shaft being silent must be a huge relief when trying to sleep below, not to mention unnecessary wear on the prop shaft. Take care in Panama and look forward to the next instalment. Andy UK
Hi Guys, Happy New Year - great to see you back in the water and it looks like your hard work has paid off. Nice to see the windlass working well, and it seems like the folding prop is giving you a speed boost, which bodes well for long passages. Looking forward to your onward travels.
Marvelous escapade, truly amazing photography and the editing is superior as well. Love this episode, shame Columbia wasn't in your forecast as we thought it was very appealing, scenic and quite inexpensive. Wishing your coming attraction's are safe and that your New Year is precious!
Happy 2024! Just remembering back when you guys first got your boat! More fun times ahead! Sigue la línea! I say "Follow the line" because it seems in sailing everything revolves around the "line". Course headings, Horizon, Anchor, Rigging, etc! 🖖💙
Hello and happy new year, done all my sailing in steel hulls and can’t remember if I was ever worried about hitting flotsam before, my mind changed the moment you said ‘log’😮 another nice blog as usual, makes my Sunday 🙂🇬🇧
Good to see Teulu looking so shiny and ginchy for 2024! That's a stretch of ocean I would not like to be crossing in 40 noueds of breeze, the cross sea looked pretty unpleasant even through the camera lens. A great friend of mine was at world champs off the Amalfi coast once, waiting for the race start in zero wind. Suddenly they cancelled the race, wondering why, he looked upwind, and saw a deck chair about a mile away, and 400 ft up, on the approaching katabatic squall...
Happy new year to you both🎉. So pleased to see you on your way. The boats performing well, you are both looking happy & satisfied with all the jobs completed. Well done you two. Keep up the good work. SV Kiwi Lady Opua Bay of islands New Zealand 👍🏿
Proud of the job you both did while up on land! Must have had its moments but you soldiered on. Too old to attempt what you are doing, so I live vicariously thru your adventures. Fair winds and God Bless as you carry on! Also, Happy New Year and be safe
I did that passage (actually Aruba to Cartegena) 20 years ago. We had 50 knots gusting 60 knots for a few hours and huge steep waves. I would have loved to motor all the way round!
Hi Becka and Zach. Great to see you are on your way again. I hope you both had a good Christmas. Happy New Year and here's to lots of great and exciting adventures for you in 2024. Fair Winds. Russ. UK.
Lots of experienced sailors elsewhere, advising to wrap a length of chain around your metal mast, and trail it overboard, in lightning, to provide a direct path to 'ground' (or sea), for lightning striking the mast. It's got to be better than just hoping for the best..
hey, I was the finn who said hi to you two in Minca. Sad to see now that you had to leave so quickly! I had to run cause I was part of a group with a guide and tried to see you guys on my way back to say hi again with better time. Anyways, faire winds and it was amazing to see you two even so quickly! cheers
Happy New Year guys. A few years back, I bet you'd be shocked if someone told you that in January 2024, you'd be bouncing from Aruba, to Columbia to Panama in your own boat :) Please do use your jacklines and all your other safety gear, as a matter of course. Think about buying or borrowing an old cheap lifebelt and using it for some man overboard drills if you haven't already. Its hard enough keeping track of something like this in the water, with a crew. Doing it alone in a passage, in rough seas, is much harder. Great content. Happy trails! :)
Another cliff hanger. Congratulations on being back out on the water. I've seen the Gulf of Mexico where the Mississippi dumps in and it is full of dirt and debris. I hope you get to spend a little time in San Blas. Cruisers can get by for a few dollars a day and spend a wonderful time. Love you two. Stay safe. ❤🙏
Safe travels from Germany to you. A happy new sailing year and always winds in the proper direction. You are inspiring with your vlog even myself, as a sailing-fearing guy who is afraid of every open waters.😅
Quite a spicy passage! Such a bummer you didn't get to hang out in Santa Marta. I've spent quite a bit of time in Colombia, and have visited Cartagena, and Parque Tayrona, but still haven't spent time in Santa Marta. You can put it on your list for the future, as I have! The Colombian people are incredible and unique, as is the country! Safe Travels!
Have a Wonderful 2024 Guys, keep up the great progress. Fair Winds and Safe Travels. Bob in Wales, who just might get a tide me over Sailboat this year. Fingers crossed. Bob in Wales.👍🏴🇬🇧🌟🌟🌟❤️
Love your videos amd following your adventure. One thing I like to see more is feedback on the new equipment you install. What works well, what doesn't, what you like, what you don't like, anything new you discover, etc. For instance you never shown how the propeller shaft behaves with the new folding propeller.
iirc Uma has those winch handles or similar. cool idea, it will be interesting to see how they hold up to salt.. wonder what the hinge pins are made of..
I just found your channel today. I have been a longtime fan of Gone With The Wynns. Your channel is a lot like theirs was when they first got a boat. They had no experience, little money but a lot of enthusiasm and drive. Now they are waiting for a brand new $1 million dollar plus boat to be built. Their success has not improved their content. I see the same drive and enthusiasm in your videos that they ounce had. I do hope you can keep it real and down to earth. Success will come to you but don’t let it turn you into sailing snobs.
I’m just beginning to look at buying a boat & so learning a lot from you guys. Hindsight is easy I know but can I ask if you would rather have spent a bit more on the initial purchase of a newer boat rather than update an older boat as you have? Although it does make great TH-cam for you guys I’m not planning on that & it looks like seriously hard work !
Wow! What a Great Video 📹. What was the problem with the star 🌟 link? And what did ya'll do to fix it. Can't wait tell next week's video. Ok I want to wish ya'll a Very Happy New Year! And until next time ⏲️, Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii! Cheers 🍻
Healthy happy 2024! Good to see you sailing. Have you noticed already (a) the middle line of the moon (clear at half moon) is at another angle to the horizon compared to the UK? And (b) at 6AM and 6PM it seems like the sunlight is switched on and off almost like the flip of a switch? (a) earth as a rotating sphere, you having moved to another angle relative to its axis of rotation hence view of the moon and (b) circumferential speed near the equator there is much faster than in the UK.
Happy New Year to you both. I know this was filmed a while ago, but its really good to see you back in the water and off on your adventures again. All the hard work (and money 💷)!) was obviouly worth it. Teulu is looking really good. The bimini looks great - you will 😅 really need it as it starts to get hotter. I am waiting for your Panama Canal trip. Please include details on how you did it, the bureaucracy and the fees. Thanks in advance. Are you planning to go north up the Central American coast to Costa Rica, or as far as Mexico before setting off across the Pacific? Safe sailing and fair winds! 😊
So good your not roasting your heads in the sun under your lovely shade, you will appreciate it in your 40s when you look your age and not desiccated Be safe off the coast, I hear some turn off their ID AIS to avoid dodgy boats. Ok well there's just so much to say, I'm totally gobsmacked at how well the both of u have not only fitted into this lifestyle you've both Smashed it!!!! TEULU is looking and performing like a Porcher.😲🤣 The upgrades have transformed your entire travelling mode, and I love the way u both actually Sail her not just hit the Auto Pilot. I gotta get some.
Great to see you back on the water again. I'm wondering why you don't have an autohelm or has that been asked and answered already? You're a lovely couple and I look forward to following your further adventures.
By the way, the are of lightings that you passed is due to the Catatumbo area in Venezuela which is where the most lightings are in the world and it goes for every day year around.
Thank you guys! Nice to see you back in the water. I'm new to the channel. Can I have a questions. One which one of you two came up with the idea of living on a sailboat. Which one of you was selling first. Which one of you loves selling the most. And now you are so pretty and cute, down to earth, just a wonderful personality. You can tell you're absolutely beautiful on the inside to. I think you outrank the girl from la vagabonde, 100%. She seems too fake. And you sure do make your boat look good. I'm not too into judging men. But your hubby seems to be a good decent. Someone very friendly and easy to talk to. I will be tuning in. I have to go back and watch all of your old videos to catch up. I say to hell with Panama. Take the southern route. Brazil's okay, Uruguay is awesome. Argentina really isn't that great. But once you go around that tip. Oh f*** is awesome beautiful. I'm freaking believable. It will put you at aw.
Hello, thanks for sharing, great content. I just wanted to ask why is that you have to stay away from Venezuela? I'm from Venezuela, I'm just curious to understand why you think that way. Much love :D
In the Caribbean this season, there is no chance of a storm, but if there is a cold front until the first days of March, the greatest possible precaution comes from the northern coast of South America, especially Colombia and Venezuela, there is piracy, so stay away and navigate no less than 12 miles from the coast, stay in INTERNATIONAL waters 👁👁
Spent 3 weeks in Santa Marta in 1972 on a bulk carrier discharging grain. No skyscrapers then, amazed how much it has changed.
You guys are rapidly becoming the best sailing channel on youtube. Keep it RAW + REAL.
Great to see you guys sailing again. That transition from bluegreen sea to brown river water was crazy! What an interesting part of the world.
That river current crossing was crazy. Great sailing, glad you two are back on the water
You know its a brilliant channel when you are excited for every video and very sad and disappointed when the video ends.
All the best for the new year, safe and happy travels to you both! 🙏
Wow guys another brilliant episode, it’s great to see you guys doing so well. 👍👍⛵️⛵️
Sadly to leave our lovely Aruba but nice first round to your new big project and adventure..the Pacific..with your very happy boat🎉❤
Fix it , we would love to visit .
It is so sad that Venezuelans voted away their freedom and their economy to socialists. Any plans to get it back?
they are not pirates that is your government at work.

Thoroughly agree with advice not to go down the path of over playing for clicks. Many followers are so over that!
Yes they call them Youpanners. Gone is the travel vlogs@@davidharlem6824
Yea I agree, I've no experience in the area, but I do know I've un subbed froma lot of the drama channels, I love they way you guys present your life! Real! ❤
Not sure what has been dramatised? Sounds like they did research and used it?
Been following you guys for a while now. Great to see the work you have been doing on Teulu and i'm so pleased you can continue your adventure :)
Two weeks of binge watching and I finally got up to date with 92+ videos.... I'm not sure what to do now!
If you haven´t already: try binge watch "Sampson Boat Co". Leo and his crew are rebuilding an old wooden yacht named Tally Ho. They are not sailing yet but they are getting there slowly. Top notch channel.
That an awesome thumbnail!!!Great episode glad everything on the boat is working properly too.Always enjoy your videos,Thank you for sharing 🙏🙏🙏😍

Happy New Year Teulu Tribe. Love the episodes. Cheers and all the best for amazing adventures in 2024.
What a life! Amazing. Loving your videos, so down to earth in the 'best of british' style, no excessive drama or algorithm pandering. Happy sailing. ⛵

You two are amazing, loved the boat work, now enjoying the raw and real sailing. Great work, lovely videos.
Santa Marta was one of our favorite stops about 7 years ago!
I do enjoy some boat yard drama but it’s really nice to see Teulu back in the water. Well done on the upgrades she is looking good.
Thats cool to see the water change colour as you hit the river!
It was crazy!
Pretty water there! Hoping for fair weather for your sail.

Wow! What a Great Video 📹.
What was the problem with the star 🌟 link? And what did ya'll do to fix it.
Can't wait tell next week's video. Ok I want to wish ya'll a Very Happy New Year!
And until next time ⏲️,
Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii! Cheers 🍻
Loved watching the dolphin photo bombing you. 🐬
Happy New Year
UMA uses that style of winch handle. Yours is only the 2nd sailing channel that I have seen them used.
Happy New Year Guys. 😅 🇨🇮🇨🇮
Hello, Good videos, but I have not figured out how to find the "next" one. Thanks, geo
If you go onto our channel, and click playlists, all the videos are there and they will auto play in the correct order 😊
So good your not roasting your heads in the sun under your lovely shade, you will appreciate it in your 40s when you look your age and not desiccated
Be safe off the coast, I hear some turn off their ID AIS to avoid dodgy boats. I’ve been watching Sailing Chuffed off the coast of Baja, looked un spoilt and charming, she’s still there.
Fair winds. (Non Brussels Sprout related)
Upgrades? Second hand wind vane auto pilot or blag some entity to give you one to plug, redundancy for you longest trip (3-6 weeks) imagine having to hand steer.. if…touch wood. Not logs
Hello where did you buy your glasses they are cool .
Thanks
Ok well there's just so much to say, I'm totally gobsmacked at how well the both of u have not only fitted into this lifestyle you've both Smashed it!!!! You find those fruits in Ecuador and are called GRANADILLA. DELICIOUS!
By the way, the are of lightings that you passed is due to the Catatumbo area in Venezuela which is where the most lightings are in the world and it goes for every day year around.
Hi guys can you tell me what chart plotter you use on your phone? Thanks and stay safe HNY to you
Thank you guys! Nice to see you back in the water. Can I ask you 1- at 22:10 what is it that you have clipped on the pedestal? a GPS or cell phone, and what are you using it with? 2- You have solid solar panel forward of the companionway, I am debating getting either a solid or flexible for that same location on your boat ( www.youtube.com/@sailinglaysan4453 ), Would you use solid or flexible if you had to do it again for that location?
Thanks.
Cheers,
a.
Is your Starlink the "Marine" one? I don't recall from your previous videos but that may be why it only worked when you entered the marina/anchored?
Hi

Are you certain you are wanting to go to the Pacific... The volcanic activity is crazy right now
It is great to see you back on the water. And that brown water...ewwwwwwwww
Any reports on the new prop performance? Great story telling.
Could you do an anchoring video one day Rim everyone seems to do a sped up version
Hello, thanks for sharing, great content. I just wanted to ask why is that you have to stay away from Venezuela? I'm from Venezuela, I'm just curious to understand why you think that way. Much love :D
