..nice video review as always! One thing I want though on this copter is to have that inside fuselage details that is covered by the gears of the wings. In the movie, it's an empty compartment with a spare chair on the side and you can se the cockpit inside looking from the back side of the copter when the hatch is opened.

The fitment of that kit is fantastic
Assembly quality is lower than Bandai, but it's not bad

I hope some aftermarket companies make some photoetched wings because the plastic ones are going to sag given time. We also need some metal wing mounting bolts. LOL 😂
Metal parts are nice, but blades are long and plastic parts also get bent a lot, so I'm not sure if metal parts can handle it

Are the instructions incorrect when it appears to call for the ornithopter to be painted in sand yellow (MC-214)? I can see that being used to replicate the desert, but not an overall color...
If I were to build this kit, I probably wouldn't follow all the paint specifications in the instructions :)
Does they have 1/72 horkonnen’s one?
They plan to release 1/72 Harkonnen Ornithopter soon. I am also waiting.

As far as I know, they also developed the Harkonnen kit at the same time. It will be released soon. :)

Surely a nice kit, but the scale is wrong. It´s 1/55. The 1:1 Atreides Ornithopter they built for the movies had a wingspan of 129 ft (~40m). So the small one is in 1:230.
G'day. Just bought this kit. Doing a quick measurement of the crew figures (23mm) vs real life actors (Josh Brolin and Timothee Chalamet are 1.78m in height), the figures scale out at about 1:77. The ornithopter measurements scale out at about 1:72(based on kit measurements and some movie references I've seen) . If it is 1/55 then the crew figures are Hobbits 🙂 But when all is said and done it's gonna look awesome painted and weathered. Can't wait to get cracking on this. 🙂 Cheers

The actual size of the ornithopter seems to be much larger than expected
The ornithopters are massive for being small agile craft. They can fit nine people inside.
@@lazyhominid the smaller version as made by Meng are 1/144 and these are supposed to be 1/72? This might be a little like the Star Wars kits out there, their scales/sizes are all over the place.
@@createdezign1840 The small ornithopter has no specific scale. Nor does the spice harvester. Neither of them are stated as 1/144, and they are way too small to be that scale.
투명부품 처리가 좀 아쉽네요. 완구같은 느낌이~
저는 투명부품보다 다른 부품이 좀 더 아쉽더라구요. ^^

Gday - No it's about 1/72 based on the kits measurements vs filming models. The postman delivered mine today and I've been doing some quick measurements. The crew figures are a bit undersized for the scale. Cheers
