The engine's power would be reduced with every required software update.
And the type of fuel it ran on would change every 2 models.

My favorite part of Mike's car is the interior. It's really easy to make an interior look clean when you rip everything out. Mike made the interior a real part of the project and I think that's what makes the build a real complete work.

@@literallynothing8934 It's painted in Audi Nardo grey - Paint Code is LY7C/T3, it's a very simple colour to work with , iv done lots of custom paint jobs using this colour . hope this helps
The Apple Car: I'm guessing it's 50% overpriced, has standard internals but with a cool looking dashboard, and the filler cap is a weird shape so you can only fill up at Apple petrol stations.
And if android built a car it would fall apart 🤣

It definitely wasn't the cheapest thing to do but when you work on things yourself that saves a ton of labor money, and if you have good friends or even just a couple of people willing to contribute, you can be good. It will take and dedication no matter what. It's no different than buying a brand new car, and putting some amount of thousands down and paying a payment every month, if you really think about it.

@@alteh7 The front bar? Is that terminology referring to the front bumper? Or are you talking about the shock tower bar in the engine bay? As for the fenders, the design of it was in my head for a very long time kind of just sitting in there, but the length of time I'd have to ask my friend Cody of Casale Design because he was the one working on those while I was working on the chassis plumbing and so on.

I knew it had to be Big Mike's as soon as I saw it. I had those magazines. Got my Prelude back in '08 and his was the dream. The wine colored setup will always be my favorite! You know, for nostalgic reasons. Glad to see he is still in it! Great video.

The irony of that statement is that in Japan, the Honda Prelude, specifically the second gen with its DRIVER-ACCESSIBLE passenger-seat swingback recline lever, is considered the number-one "date car". yes, there's a seedy euphemism to that wasei-eigo term.

I wanted to start a resrauration on my bb2. It was the best looking Prelude 20 years ago in Germany. After this Video and this Prelude (Amazing) I search for a big Hammer and Ram it down! Highest Respect for this build!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Prelude has been through so many stages, I was lucky to see it in one of its earlier stages. I used to work for a shop down in Buena Park, CA called Midnight Garage as an extra set of hands. Got to see some cool cars come through, many that has graced magazine covers and all. This one was a pleasure to see for sure.
If Steeve Job had a Prelude I bet he would have put a gas filler neck that didn't match with normal gas pump.
He would have to fill his Prelude only in Apple gas station.

I've always loved the prelude. I appreciate each generation which were special in their own ways. I'm particularly fond of the third gen, mostly because I had a pristine example and it was the best car Ive ever owned and I had it looking really sweet. I'm currently without a Prelude, but looking for another clean third gen so. Preferably white with black interior and aws.

That is true, although when I did the different version's over the years people didn't always like what I did. It was interesting to see the community and culture as a whole warm up to each version over time following.

I personally bought a prelude because I grew so tired of see the same old done on civics/integras and always realized the prelude would be a more deserving candidate for extensive customization. I'm no where near where I want to be but that's the pleasure of undertaking this car. Big Mike has us all beat, he's also a massive influence on what can be done which gives the community a lot of hope and recognition. I like your vids and I think you're really great at what you do.
