Marujuana is now prescribed to those with eating disorders or other symptoms, like depression or schizophrenia. They both may be drugs but one is absolutely dangerous and can affect your brain and your family, the other is absolutely safe, the most that can happen with weed is you guys fighting over the last donut.
The fact that the first thing the aunt thinks is not just the abuse but the fact that the child in question essentially has two built-in self-destruct buttons in his brain and that never occurs to the parents just shows that she's more on top of this than the parents by a long shot. Most people when they react to abuse just think of kids getting smacked around or getting bruises. It takes an extra step to register that if a child that has additional health issues gets hit in the wrong area, they can die quickly from a stroke or another issue.
