  • After visiting 100 countries and being guided by this specific goal for a long time, we are now left thinking about the next phase of our lives. Come along in today's video as we reflect on our future and the second half of our twenties while exploring New Zealand's second largest city of Christchurch and its surroundings. We then fly north to the country's largest city of Auckland and the North Island✨
We're trying something new in today's vlog. Let's see if you guys can figure out what it is and if you like this new style🙏❤️
We are Oskar & Dan, two Swedish guys who decided to change the course of our lives, drop out of university, and live life full-time🧔🏻👱🏻‍♂️ We've been together for eight years and have been traveling together pretty much since day one✈️ We're trying to see and learn as much about the world as possible before we settle down somewhere in the world👨‍👨‍👧‍👦 In 2022, we completed our goal of visiting 100 countries at the age of 25🌍 Check our TH-cam About page for more details👨🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻❤️

2:06-3:44 Going to Christchurch and finding vegan fast food!
3:45-6:05 Christchurch and why we don't like all vegan restaurants...(as two vegans)
6:06-9:40 Exploring Akaroa on Banks Peninsula (serene)
    9:41-11:00 Flying to Auckland

Loved this video. Christchurch is my home town, and interesting thing is that 70% of the centre of town was demolished after a massive earthquake nearly 12 years ago. The centre of the city has struggled to get the population back that it once had, so it seems fairly dead. I love your editing style, I’m planning on using your story board format and shot ideas, when I produce videos on our next trip to Italy and Spain. I’m currently using LumaFusion but have Final Cut installed on my Mac so I will start to learn that from now on overall I have loved your video series on New Zealand so much and I am thrilled that you have found our country very beautiful and friendly. Safe travels

idk if im just sleep deprived or not but i kinda prefer the former style. I like it when you guys just talk about how you experience the area more. I personally watch you for your stories since theres lots of media abt diff biomes already. It's cool that you're switching it up tho and experimenting and stuff! You guys deserve to immerse yourself in peace as much as you want. I guess it comes with traveling through so many places that you'd just want to be in the moment more.

Over the river is Samuel Butlers Erewhon Station. You Boyd have left so much to see and do. I Loved the video!!!!!! And honestly, even though it was 12 minutes long it felt like it was only 2 minutes. The editing was fantastic. It seemed like we didn’t see as much of Dan as we did Oskar, maybe that’s just me. The video felt subtle, calming and quaint, which could be a product of the environment in New Zealand, rather than what you were aiming for. Either way it was a awesome video. I love following you guys. You give me lots of ideas. I’m about to start a travel blog with my 11 year old identical twin boys and although we have done a fair bit of traveling we have never been to New Zealand, this beautiful place is now on the list for us. Now I’m off to watch your other New Zealand vlogs. Stay safe fellas. P.S The shots of the lakes and mountains definitely reminded me of Loch Ness, Loch Lomond and isle of skye in Scotland. I live in Washington DC and we don’t see that natural beauty, although the cherry blossom festival is beautiful lol 😂

Over here in the Netherlands, it feels like you either have places where you have 1 vegetarian dish on the menu (somehow that almost always ends up being a goat cheese salad) or on the other end of the spectrum places where dandelion juices wouldn't be out of place. 😁

@@OskarandDan Everything in moderation Dan & Oskar, as you'll well understand being half-Swedish. Human connection is far more important than the length of shopping hours. Slow down and b-r-e-a-t-h-e. You're not in Asia, North America or parts of Europe. Many of us kiwis have nordic ancestry, like you, from 19th century immigration. Dutch too. In addition to british and polynesian, asian ancestry. Lends a certain 'low key' sensibility to the kiwi culture. Not for everyone admittedly. Lastly your comments on tour prices? Prices are cheap in Asia for a multitude of reasons such as labour, sheer volume of tourism and importantly (in some place) differences in health and safety legislation (compliance with).

Surreal beauty! Did you guys ever visit Lake Toba in Indonesia? That's another huge volcanic crater right there. Such gorgeous nature (and a bit more affordable ;-) )

Lots of great and surprising vegan food choices in Thailand. I found many on the HappyCow app that lists places across the globe. 👍🏻😃🙏🏻

Hi Guys. Was it more "talk to the camera" rather than voiced-over afterwards? Either way, your videos are hugely watchable and informative. Safe travels.

You definitely want to visit NZ in the summer (Dec-Feb) or spring if you have to, autumn and winter are miserable here 😂.

@@joshuav9005 it’s not that bad! Lil windy though. I’m an ex Canadian living in Chch so I’m happy with any weather that isn’t shovelling snow daily 😂

@@carlystevenson950 Chch gang, there are definitely more brutal winters than ours, I was recently in the UK and thought their winter would be the same, but it was bone chilling cold. For tourists the best time to visit is summer or spring though since you wouldn’t get the flowers in winter and NZ is just stunning in general in summer.

Hi guys, Marg again from Australia! Re your travels moving forward, can i recommend you do it a little more slowly, as I’ve found it gives you more of a chance to get the true “feel” of a place, regardless of where you are in the world. I’ve just returned from an epic 14 week trip and in most places I stayed at least 5 days and some even 8! It was fantastic as that gives you loads of time to wander and explore without set plans, do a walking tour or three, discover all the hidden gems not all tourists know about and do a day trip or two to interesting places nearby. Just a suggestion…… Enjoy!
