My dad passed away when I was 19 in 2022. He was a drummer and the only song of the music I listened to that I could play on repeat with him around was this song because he liked to analyze the drums, and the lyrics made him emotional. Hearing this version is what I would have wanted to play at his memorial. Rest in peace daddy
Honestly, doing a cover of such an iconic song isn’t an easy task. Like, you don’t want to be compared to a masterpiece that defined a generation. But you made it your own in such a beautiful way and I am so so in love with this version.
