I really like that you don't feel the need to swap the gender of the lyrics. I respect cover singers/bands that make a song their own just by playing/singing it in their own way, while staying true to the lyrics of the original.
I can already imagine what a great story that would be: A cancer patient going through the seven stages of grief, dying in a loved one’s arms, after learning his wife died. Vowing through trials and tribulations as he journeys through limbo to reach the afterlife. Arrives at the crossroads meeting those that test his soul’s worthiness. Finally, meeting his beloved again at the gates of Heaven, as the Black Parade celebrates his life in remembrance. The flesh may rot, the spirit may leave the Earth, but your memory will carry on.

I was beaten to the extent of having broken ribs, her rings cut me open and was chocked. And it was always to this album. As a kid I experienced what I thought was gonna be my life. I attempted to take my life several times between the ages of 15 and 21. I could never listen to this song until I found this version. I still can’t listen to the original because it takes me straight back to that time. What I’m saying is it does get better and please carry on. I’m getting married in a year to the day with a woman that treats me right. Please if you need the help I desperately craved but was too ashamed to seek, know that there are organisations out there to help. I may not be a councillor but hell if you need a stranger to hear your story and not judge you just message me. I may not be able to fix it but sometimes it helps to get the ball rolling by just opening up to someone you don’t know.

I don't know what started it, I first heard about it from a close friend who introduced me to the band. Normally if there's a video with the song there is a G Note Warning that's basically like "hey, sad song coming up, prepare yourself" In short it's a single note on the piano that makes every emo in a ten foot radius cry
HOLY SHIT the arrangement. Taking the rock out and turning it into a sort of modern ballad is real genius. Completely refreshes the song. On par with Disturbed's take on The Sound of Silence. This song is a classic.
It hits differently compared to the male vocals. With the male ones, the aggression and the anguish of unrealized dreams, feelings of doing something out of obligation. With yours, it feels more akin to an introvert struggling to move forward. The pressures towards suicide and anger towards not being accepted by your peers, comes through your words. It certainly give me something to chew on. Thank you for your performance.
