I always go with darkest can stand and kept my eyes good through my career..on a 4x4 lense at shade 10 if you can feel the light tanning your skin imagine what that’s doing to your eyes, change to a darker lense I always stayed 11 or 12 on pipe stick and tig.

Nice review man. I have the the one with the batteries been using it for 8 months super clear. Eats batteries but i like i have the choice of shades i like shade 11 for low amp tig work and shade 13 for duel shield flux welding

I prefer opticool 2pc glass lenses he has a bunch if different colors but found the mellow weld which is like sky blue to be the best for my eyes. Normal blue tinted makes the peripherals around the puddle too dark for me. For auto lenses I have tried quite a few but settled on truearc. Really nice clarity. I do have this lens as well and it is really good though.

I've been using the arc one shade 11 for a year flux core and a lot of stick
Is had am arc one hood. I liked it but it stopped working.
The variable lens 4c is pretty good get to have the option of adjusting your setting like the sensitivity for grinding so but batteries are kind of hard to find but Amazon or battery stores have then but I say they don’t last long and I wish the lens had a rechargeable battery inside
yeah man i think the fixed lens is they way to go
You sit your hood in the sun and it keeps the battery charged way longer. I used the same batteries for probably 7 months lol. I had to change them when we started a different job because my hood wasn't being used and it wasn't in the sun.

I’m currently in school and I bought a leather hood with a auto dark lens and it worked perfect when I was in stick class but when I got to tig it kept turning off I been struggling to find a auto dark lens that won’t flicker while I’m tig welding

I have the same problem, I’m not sure with auto single lens besides the Lincoln name works good with TIG since it has 2 sensors not 4 sensors 😎😎😎👨🏭

I had one of those but had to sell it cause the peripherals were too dark. Multiple people I let use it also said the same thing so it wasn't just me. Cool lens but not very practical in my opinion. It was a shade 10 by the way.
Had 2 of them the clearest puddle around but they only lasted a couple weeks would recommend them for tig but nothing else i used it stick welding and crapped out on me

Good review and all but can’t really knock the lense and say the one bad thing is that it’s too bright for your eyes when the Jackson you’ve been using a for 2 years is a shade 11.

I used this lens for a about 3 months. I stop welding for about a month and went back to welding and my lens would not auto darken. Im not sure why . I believe o have to leave it in the sun to charge battery up

After owning the Lincoln lens it it good but you can't find the batteries ANYWHERE. By far the best and clearest lens I've ever personally used is the Singles Arc One. There's no batteries and crystal clear

Bought 2 of this and they both let me down after few months constantly flashing sometimes it wouldn't even work after new batterries awful product it damage part of my eyesight im glad i threw that ishh away went with the arcshow product lens
Arc one Singles 240 HD , shade 10,11 good for TIG also , way better than Lincoln auto lens and cost a little less

Their great for tig hands combo welders but not for pipeline or facility work I’ve had 2 in the last year and both have messed up on me! One of them just stop working by droping my sugar scoop hood from my head to the ground and that was it for it!! The other one just stopped working.. maybe my luck ... plus their made in china 🇨🇳
What you use now regular dark lens ?
I’m using brother ameriarc welding lens... on a sugar scoop pipeliner hood I use it on #9 since I’m out on direct sunlight... and its a awesome welding lens very high quality and high definition I really recommend it brother!
Also I didn’t want to be rood .. it was just my opinion.. I had problems with those Lincoln lenses but it can be that is that their adjustable shade!!! Maybe your right that Viking lens might be bad ass I’ll order one from amazon brother and give it a try.
Do not buy the Armour Guard, i bought 2 different ones at 2 different locations and they both suck, it will shut off after a few seconds
It's not a pain in the ass to find batteries amazon, batteries plus, Walmart, all have them.
Some people do need all those shades.
And the batteries are a tax deduction.

The one with the battery first thing I hate about it if the batteries go dead in about 2 months the other thing is it doesn't have a grinder setting then if you're welding around someone else it's a strobe light
