Well said sir! "Grow at your own pace" will go over people’s ( the maestros) heads . It’s there for a reason, so use it when "NECESSARY". Of course you shouldn’t get complacent, always do your best to master every key. I started playing in one key only now I can roll with with a solid 8 keys I got 4 more to master and best believe that I still use the transpose button when the choir sings a song in a key I haven’t mastered yet 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️. And to all y’all maestros who play in all 12 keys fluently we truly admire y’all 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.
Great video. This is good for beginners who are self taught and need time improve, especially if they happen to be the only musician in church. Lol just make sure you understand what you’re playing and practice the other keys 🎹
I'm sure this is a controversial video but honestly I transposed for about 10 years and I still have times where someone will throw me such a curveball it will make me transpose. I believe it's a personal thing. One day I woke up and said, I just want to be better all around and I slowly started learning all of my keys. It's still a struggle because you want to be able to do all of the licks and things you may know from one particular key but that's the good thing about not transposing. You learn that some keys you may not be able to do things in as others. Then... also... the day when you're playing at a church with a different keyboard than yours or an upright piano and you're toast. LOL. Great video though. I'm sure that will help someone.

It is a great feature, however you really truly have to grow and learn to play in all keys. You hear so many different things in different keys!
