The sony x85k is a very good tv with favorable reviews. Also it has the 120hz refresh rate on the HDMI 3, and HDMI 4 for 9th gen consoles on all sizes.
I’m looking at a 50 inch X85K (X89K) primarily for PS5 and Series X but also for movies, primarily in a naturally lit - darker room. It’s currently £749, would you recommend it for that price?
Same over here. But I‘m lookinh at the 55 inch model of the X85K. I have watched many Videos about it and also read alot of tests. I would also use it for my PS5 and for movies. I think you get great value for money with this TV. However, I think that the prices will drop a bit more, when the new 2023 Sony TV lineup is available…you can preorder them right now but mostly, they aren‘t available yet. I think that the TV will be cheaper at the end of May or in June.
I just got the 43” X85K TV for mainly gaming on my PS5 and I’m really enjoying it tbh. I used to have a 40” Vizio 4K 60hz and upgraded to this tv. I was looking for a 43” 4K 120hz tv and this one was the most affordable at Best Buy. The only gripe I have so far is that when playing warzone the dark areas of the map on screen are hard to see for some reason, can’t figure out why or if I can adjust the picture somehow to fix that.
Hi I have some important questions for gaming : How good is it for gaming? I had a Samsung qled and it was for me a Desaster and awful it had too much ghosting and to avoid ghosting I had to lower the motion and I hated that I don't know if this would be a problem whit this sony tv too? And made in where is it exactly? Thanks
Do you know if the Vesa mount cross bar gets in the way of the power adapter like they did on the old Sony TV's? I had a Sony from 5 years ago and it blew the TV because the power cable could not be inserted properly due to the vesa mount cross bar interfered with the power cable.
Does anyone know where the speakers are located? I wanted to put some sound dampening panels behind the TV, but if the speakers are only at the top or bottom I'd prefer to just put the panels there.
Hello. Question. I already own a Sony 85 inch XBR-85X900H that we have in our living room. I just ordered a Sony 85 inch KD-85X85k for our loft. We want to make the loft our primary viewing room. What is the best TV out of these two to put there. I would assume that the new 85X85K is better, but I don’t want to assume. Thanks in advance!
Hi my x900h or xh90 how it is called in europe is broken and i would like to buy the x85k now? How do you like it ? Is it an upgrade to the x900 or is it worse ?
Anyone know how I can mirror my laptop to this TV? It works with my android phone but still haven't found a way to connect to my pc as a wireless display.
Buonasera. Vorrei acquistare un televisore SAMSUNG QE50 AAUXZT. Desiderei sapere se Lei ha fatto un tutorial per la configurazione su questo televisore, spero di si. Grazie
Probably too late to reply. I connect my VCRs using the AV minijack on the TV (superior to RF, if your VCR is new enough - e.g. mid 1980s+ to have Scart/AV out). I used a 4 pole 3.5mm to AV cable from Kenable (blue/silver design). If you only have SCART on the VCR, you can easily buy a SCART to phono adapter to connect the cable to. But I have found Sony TVs have poor deinterlacing - shows 'combing' on VHS. Bit disappointing (especially in 'Standard' picture mode - slightly better in 'Cinema'. Turning 'Random Noise Reduction' on to Medium helps a little. Otherwise not bad picture considering VHS was always poor. Sharp TVs (for some reason) look really good with VHS and can deinterlace it better.
Got this tv so I can experience better resolution for gaming. For a month it was fine but as usual with my shit luck when dealing with electronics things have to fuck up because, "why the fuck not?" Now at random times the damn thing wont even turn on when I press the power button on the remote. The sony light will turn on but no image will display.
FROM SONY 70S TO THE YEAR 2023, I NEVER BEEN A FAN OF SONY'S UGLY SKIN TONES. NO MATTER HOW YOU TWEAK THE COLOR SATURATION OR TINT. IT IS JUST UGLY HUMAN SKIN TONES. EVEN ON THE XPERIA PHONES. IT IS JUST TOO REDISH. LG PANASONIC TOSHIBA ARE BEST IN SKIN COLOR TONES ON SCREEN.

Did you ever get it figured out? There must be some settings somewhere for black levels or something. Thanks.
@@brydon10 I don’t know if I got used to it or what but I don’t notice it anymore.

Hello Dan, does the X85K have an analogue tuner to tune a VCR to it?
whats a vcr

Do you know if you can turn the TV on and off with the remote control without pointing the remote control at the Sony x85k TV?

Did ya found out a solution?
Any update on this?
@@fightlifeuk It kind of stopped on its own for now. Maybe a system update fixed it or I just got very lucky so far. We'll see.
Hi Dan. It has its place but the bigger the better!
Hi Delta. Yeah it's not really a winner.

Not bad for Sony's mid-range lcd tv's.
It's a led tv
LED is just the backlight. It's an LCD (like every other non-OLED TV).@@1VikingBrute3
Can I tear off this yellow sticker?

It is

Well for 849 euros for 50" i think we have way better TV's to choose on the market than this overpriced and almost entry level model from Sony.
Yeah I'm not the most keen on sony to be honest, the product never seems to justify the price point. Also I'm not overly keen on the software.
What Tv's for example?
Did you do your research? I think this is one of the best that you can buy for its price.
What tvs do you recommend then?
