@@jfearless3420 I think gilbert claimed Stockton did subtle “dirty” stuff and the officials didn’t call fouls. He said he elbowed him a few times and he complained to the officials and they didn’t do anything about it.
Which is crazy, imagine how soft you have to be to hold this type of grudge over someone using veterans tricks in a game on you. That’s how the nba was played back then. Guys who were around for long periods of time extended their careers by mastering subtle tactics which allowed them to increase their effectiveness and value no matter how old they were.
Of course, these types of things have been extinct for over a decade now due to the softness in the league, the lack of veterans, etc.
