Why do Lakers or Championship teams always do this, letting go of one of their cogs for nothing. 11' Mavs and Tyson Chandler 20' Lakers and Rondo, Howard, Caruso Recent Lakers with Schroeder & LW4 Early Bucks with Brogdan Recent Bucks with Jrue
Well it’s usually a combination of things for the 20 lakers case Howard and megee in the offseason falling the championship felt like they needed to be paid more so but rob didn’t feel that way so he let them walk the the lakers actually played pretty well in 21 but ad got hurt and they ended up being the 7th seed and were up 2-1 vs phx but ad got hurt again and the series was pretty much over then in the 21 offseason they felt like they needed a big swing to help them win which really was they main mistake the Russ signing just didn’t fit plus they fill up the roster with old guys who couldn’t shoot which made it worse on top of bron and ad being injured a lot with the bucks they just panicked cause the lost in the 2nd round to the Celtics and then lost again in the first round to the heat the so they thought dame would be give them a higher ceiling
Usually, it's hard to keep a championship roster together because some of the players with expiring contracts will demand more money. And if the team doesn't give it to them, they'll get it in free agency since other teams are willing to pay a high price for championship players. What the Lakers did was overkill, because they didn't need to make any big moves. The 2021 Lakers tried to run it back but both AD & LeBron got injured in the playoffs. So Pelinka got scared and wanted a 3rd star with LeBron & AD for backup, so he got Westbrook. And since Westbrook's contract was so expensive at the time, Pelinka had to let guys like Caruso, Howard, and Rondo walk away to stay under the cap.
And if AD and Lebron still got injured? You telling me that after having the best record prior to injuries in 2020-2021 we would not have back to back?
4 rings, first ballot HOF, second best shooter in his generation. 37 pts in 1 quarter, 60 pts in 29 minutes, 14 threes in a game. Carry on. His legacy is already solidified.

I think we can pass on Gabe Vincent this time because we barely had him this year but i think i agree with the fact that we paid him 11 mil to get him and i think Lakers signed him because of the Miami's moment run in the finals last year.
Bradley Beal gets to wear the crown for the worst player in this year's playoffs. Between his horrible contract and then making the bold claim he would never allow a sweep to happen. Just pitiful!
Suns and Beal was the worst trade especially with the no-trade, KD has to know he needs to leave otherwise he has no chance of winning another championship with the Suns in the next two years.

It looked to me like Westbrook did not want to be on the floor in the playoffs. I even think that ridiculous pushing fiasco he started was an attempt to get himself suspended.
They need to do something with the salaries. Some of these guys get paid for doing absolutely nothing. Their salaries should drop when they underperform in the playoffs.
I honestly feel bad for players that get overvalued like Tobias. You won't say no to a massive contract, why would you? But then you attract all the ire of the public, and possibly the management.
The lakers gabe Vincent and Dennis schroder can’t be compared cause Dennis wanted something crazy like a max and was offered $84 mil/4 years which he rejected
You should put Dame on this list. I get it. He averaged 31ppg vs the Pacers lets use context. Dame shot 42% from the field and went 4-12 from three in both games 3 and 6 vs Pacers. He underperformed in the second half of game 2 going 3-9 from the field and 0-2 from three in the 2nd half. He went 6-20 from the field in game 3 and 7-16 from the field in game 6. He shot 34.4% from the field in the 2nd halves. He also shot 26.7% from the field in the 4th quarter in the series. He also went scoreless i OT in game 3. I understand he was hurt at the same time, Luka had an Achilles injury himself and balled out for most of the playoffs last year. If you know your injury will affect your play and your team, I dont understand the decision to play with that injury. There are no ifs or buts about this. No disrespect to you.
