That weird moment between Cersei and Tyrion was because she was being uncharacteristically genuine and vulnerable with him in that moment. The scene then ends with an awkward display of Tyrion attempting to comfort his sister over their shared love and worry for her 2 non-crazy children (only bc of their mutual fear & anticipation of the battle with Stannis coming to their doorstep). But since Cersei has tormented him for his entire life, Tyrion doesn't quite know how to approach comforting her, which makes for a wonderfully acted awkwardness between them.
Nicely put.
Well said
Nice reaction as always.
Remember, in Season 1 Jorah was spying on Viserys and Dany for Varys, passing information about her marriage, her child, her whereabouts. King Robert always seemed to be crumpling up some piece of paper with the latest news about them and yelling that he wanted her dead. It was the moment Jorah was given his pardon in the marketplace, and he looked over and realised she was about to be poisoned by the wine, that he realised he loved her and could no longer be a spy.
Arya and Tywin's dialogue is so good here it's lowkey a crime not to keep more of that scene. Rule of thumb is anytime Tywin's on screen, you keep as much of it as you can. Just periodically black out the episode video and keep more of the dialogue. The viewer has already seen that visuals a million times. We don't need the visuals for everything, we need to see YOU react. There's so much good dialogue in this episode between Cersei-Tyrion, Cat-Jaime, Tywin-Arya.
The brilliance of the storytelling here is how they bait you into a very obvious and overused trope of Jaime using the other guy to escape, only to invert it on its head and have him be captured 5 minutes later. I love little tweaks like that. The Jaime Catelyn scene is amazing. It's the starting point of one of the most important arcs. The different things they talk about : oaths and loyalties, Jaime saying "Kingslayer? And what a king he was!" and what he says about Cat hating the bastard son...all of these different topics they touch on, all very significant.
From this day forward, take some shots everytime the line 'you know nothin Jon Snow' comes again
“He is he’s homies “ 😂😂
The moment you realize that Tywin gave Arya food not because he likes her but because he expects it's poisoned.
i think u didnt get the jorah situation. Jorah was a spy for robert baratheon. Because of him Robert knew that she married khal drogo and got a child.
Then when Jorah realized she was about to be poisoned, he realized he loved her and sided with her from then on.
I could see by the reaction, Bakola definitely was very entertained by Ygritte!
7:06 Fun Fact : The actress who plays Talisa (Oona Chaplin) is Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter
Congrats on 30K subs guys! X
As soon as you guys are done with Season 2, you should do a reaction to the Bad Lip Reading video for Game of Thrones (which includes footage from the first two seasons): th-cam.com/video/5Krz-dyD-UQ/w-d-xo.html
"I like how she's so blonde but her eyebrows"
Yeah they thought about the thing with the eyebrows. But there isn't a good way to fix eyebrows without it being permanent and looking ridiculous against her natural brown hair on her day-to-day life.
She is also supposed to have purple eyes but she has problems with contacts. I'm kinda glad though because having purple eyes is a bit of a fantasy cliche.
I think they tried it, but it was a bridge too far in terms of looking weird.
The Jon-Ygritte stuff might come off as a bit of a cringey forced-romance at first, but it tells a bigger story of the 2 Norths. So why is there such a difference between the Northmen on this side of the wall & the Wildlings? They are the same people. The wall has been there for a thousand years. There was always animosity. But what kicked things into high gear was when 300 years ago Aegon the Conqueror consolidated the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros into a single unit ruled by one king, and the wall became the northern extremity of his empire. So part of the North (headed by Winterfell) bent the knee to Aegon & became subjects of the Iron Throne, united & assimilated with the other kingdoms. They prospered, but they were ruled by the South, & had to assimilate themselves with the dominant "Andal" culture of the South. While the North on the other side of the wall were left out, impoverished, looked at as poor outlaw savages. But they were free, so they are the ones who managed to retain the customs & traditions of the "First Men" culture of the old North. Now, Jon being an assimilated Northman guarding the wall, the Wildlings would look at him as sort of a sellout, while Jon would naturally be conflicted keeping his own people out for a southern throne. It's important to understand this conflict of loyalties going forward.
Remember in Season 1 how Robert knew about Dany getting married to a Dothraki horse Lord, and how he knew she was pregnant and he fought with Ned about killing her.
All that information came from Jorah. He was spying on Dany to earn a royal pardon so that he could return to Westeros. One of the Spider's little birds gave Jorah the pardon at the market just before Dany was about to be poisoned. but it was in that moment that Jorah decided to switch sides and saved her from being poisoned instead of taking the pardon.
This was his betrayal that the masked woman was talking about.
Learned it from Google!? Watcha doing Googling Thrones? Begging for spoilers? Lol all said with love. Love your reactions, been watching since you started Rick and Morty. Take care!
Would you start taking limbs off a royal hostage knowing his family has control of your daughter(s)? no.
