Great musicians, better people.
It's great hearing their interactions with one another. This is the real deal with insights into how they get along with each other. And you can see how much Dany and Pau dominate the interview conversations. Ale said in an interview that she lets them do that because she is okay with it. But judging from what everyone who has worked with the three of them say about their interactions, Ale can be the scary one, the one with the sharpest criticism, and the one who says the really funny slams to put people in their places.
It's usually the quite and shy ones with the most bite!
I chatted with Bendeth and asked him if he had any other stories about TW. He said that he told Dany a device was voice controlled (it wasn't) and she could never get it to work. Pau, all he had to do was tell her he didn't like something and she'd get spun up. But he was scared of Ale. He said she'd just give him The Look.

Is it possible to watch this and not become a huge fan of The Warning? These are three very special ladies who are amazing musicians and very kind souls. Kudos to their parents for raising these impressive ladies. There are not many role models in todays society but these are girls that young people can really look up to. We are really being treated to a group with top shelf song writing skills and I challenge you to name any group that can match the vocal and harmonizing abilities of The Warning. You have been warned!

It occurred to me as I was re-watching these videos along with you that ALOT of their community (fans) are here because of how inclusive they are. They post something everyday on You Tube, Instagram, Social media sites, etc. They post live shows or they allow it I should say, which is a big one, WHO DOES THAT?? No other bands that Im aware of. All they want is for you to hear their music. Its amazing. The effect, at least for me, is that not only do they Rock and give me something to listen to and watch. But Im proud, almost as if I have 3 younger sisters.

That may be true for the band but not for every fan. Somebody from the elitist TWA fanboy bubble explained to me recently that you're not a "real fan" if you're not willing to travel hundreds of miles just to get a t-shirt of them. What an inclusive mindset.😒
@Berwin Enzemann Sorry, but that is Not true. So i can only speak for myself. I happen to be born in Chile (South America), and my family happens to move to the the states 20 + years ago . I was lucky to discover them ( TW ) in Argentina at a live concert at a small event and i was lucky to meet them and talk to each of them and the father , 3 years later i saw them in NYC it was difficult to get to them but i did ,and YES !!! They did remember my name and where exactly they saw me last time ,they were so happy i was there and be part of their very first time in NYC ever first time performing there ,and i can insure you that they never ask me or mention if i got a shirt or any of their Merchandise and to be honest i haven't heard of anyone that you aren't a true fan if you DON'T buy a shirt 🤷🏻♂️🤔 .Now did the fact that they remembered me made me loved them more and care more about them?? absoFu..#$*ngtely!!! . 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Warning, Best Rock Band Anywhere!
Ale could be a model: she did a photo shoot for Spector several years ago' so yeah, she could.
She looked concerningly thin in that photo shoot. Thank God she regained some weight since then.
They were in NJ for 3 months to record Error, Sept to early Dec. They went home for about a month then returned in Jan. for the mix and master. Dany signed off on the master and David B. gave it to her.
FYI: The girls sat in on every meeting with the Lava / Republic / UMG lawyers and read every page of the contract with Luis and Rudy. The one major sticking point was their Patreon platform. The label lawyers didn't know what Patreon was and they weren't going to sign if they had to sacrifice their Patreon page.
They are also signed with Chris Smith and 21 Entertainment Group in Toronto. He was also involved in the contract negotiation, and he said it is rare for artists to be directly involved in contract negotiations and for it to take 7 months is unheard of.
Chirs Smith is also responsible for suggesting the collaboration between TW and Alessia Cara for the Enter Sandman Blacklist album remake, because Alessia is also signed with Chris at 21 EG.
As for concert suggestion: mine is the Foro Didi concert. It is in their hometown, it premieres the song "Narcisista" and maybe 3 or 4 reactors have posted this concert in lieu of the Lunario CDMX, the vast majority post. Mostly because the QOTMS album is done in order. The Foro Didi doesn't do the album in order and mixes in songs from "XXI Century Blood". But, the audio / visual are better and there are better views of all of them playing. The Lunario CDMX is darker and focuses mostly on Dany and the shots of Pau on the drums isn't as good as the Foro Didi especially on Dust to Dust.

@@Cheezyxyz Awesome! It's the among the best produced of their concerts. There are technical difficulties during the concert, but it's awesome to watch them play through them. True pros at this age. Their ages at this concert are: Dany 19, Pau 17, Ale 14.

if they ever come to play a venue near you, try contacting them and invite them to do a video, they are very gracious and love to meet new people and do interviews and play a song or two, sometimes one of there electric songs done with acoustic guitar and bass! These 3 have hearts as big as Mt . everest!!

I learned of The Warning a few years ago, and quickly started looking looking up all their songs, videos, etc. Having grown up in the '70's, their music is a breath of fresh air on the rock scene. You are right at 12:25. I hate the commonplace but in this case, Monica and Luis are true parenting role models. They had a very disciplined, even though approach to the girl's education (PDA have spoken about it ocassionaly) but also gave up their own activities and thrown themselves 100% into supporting their daughters' dreams.
By the way: they just uploaded a full live concert for Día de Muertos (Dead's day) which is truly great. You gotta check it.

When David Bendeth came to see their New York show in May it was the first time he’d seen them play for a crowd and he posted a very glowing review, saying how glad he was to see them and their family again, praising each of them and saying how much he enjoyed working with them. Then he came up to Toronto to see them again about 6 weeks later. I think they got on quite well and I’d love to see them work together again.

Why sign? They got the deal they wanted, i.e. full creative control, and in exchange Lava got them into festivals and tours they likely wouldn't have been able to get on their own. I saw somewhere that Rudy schemed to get Devon (Lava A&R person) to show up at that Mercury show in NYC. The rest is history as they say.
Ale is the anchor of the band. If not for her being so talented, there would be no early covers. When Ale was 7, one month after starting bass lessons, Pau and Dany saw how good she was, and they stared practicing covers of songs they liked. By this time Dany and Pau had been on their instruments about 4 years, and Ale could play at their level within a month. They didn't ask themselves IF they could play the songs they chose, they just did them to see what would happen and have fun. This is kind an Ale shout out.

David Bendeth was a guitar player and band leader in Toronto. I saw his band back in the day. Who knew how this would play out?
Their fans crowd funded their previous album (QTMS?) US tour over 300%, to allow them to make and play music their way until they could find a label that didn't interfere with them.

He even went to girls headline show to support in a concert and say hello.
He has worked with Paramore and Bring me the Horizon and a much sought after producer.

yeah dude, these ladies ROCK!! the drummer, is like playin at a 30 yr. experience level - and just killz the drums, stomping out the tempo, keeping the tempo ming of all the songs, center of the success;
the three together make some of the greatest melody, some of the best tunes u’ll hear; Pau has a lovely treble timber in her voice, that I haven’t heard since the late 70’s, thru 80’s.
the bass lines… ahhhhhh, the bass lines! Ale is so smooth, moving effortlessly from finger pluck to flat pick, changing tone, and timber of the song in a single instance - something that generally takes decades to learn, and to do unconsciously - AMAZING!
then, we come to Dani - holy momma of chocolate milk! she has such a huge, smooth tone, able to drop tune, hit the highs, or the lows;
and there is seemingly no avarice between the sisters; they all sing great, but Dani has the huge front energy. so, when Pau leads, Dani is able to drop in and add the harmony, same as Pau does when Dani’s got the lead;
Ale is still coming into herself, as far as her singing is progressing, I believe. she has some great low harmonies, I haven’t heard her highs yet; however I long to see and hear her ‘bust out’ to a lead role - just only one, that’d feed my desire for a min., for now… but I think she’ll get there quickly if their progress to date is any indication.
together, as the lady said, they aren’t a girl band, they aren’t a young band - they are a ‘FREAKIN ROCK BAND!!’

I had been meaning to watch this in totality but just never got around to it. So glad to see that you ran them all together so once I started watching I couldn't stop!! I never get tired of watching these documentary type videos about their coming of 😊. I resemble Ale in the way that I'm quiet and somewhat shy but have a big bite😁. Regarding parental support, a huge TH-cam drummer is Sina-drums from Germany. Her dad is a great musician and video editor and has supported her from day 1. Similarly, Yoyoka from Japan (playing John Bonham at 5 years old and progressing to a monster) and Nandi Bushell from England (recently played with the Foo Fighters during the Taylor Hawkins tribute show at Wembley because she had played with them in LA and Taylor Hawkins loved her, because she challenged Dave Grohl to a drum battle). All of them had devoted help and support from their families. Similarly, Ellen plays bass (her dad is a killer guitar player and her "uncle" is Victor Wooten). I recommend that you check them all out and make videos reacting to their stories.

I should have been doing late Sunday morning chores around the house, but instead, here I am, being Cheezy with the CheeseMaster himself. A question this series of videos have always raised in my mind - These girls aren't unique in that they very much wanted to "fight" for their music. While admirable of course, at what point do you listen to people vastly more experienced than you? Where is that line of seperation between the wisdom of years, and creative choice?
I agree with you Steven. When I mentioned "fight" I meant it strictly to the label taking full control. I'm sure they take advice from the producer in the studio while recording. That's why they're there.
