I really loved it. I agree, it’s going to be polarising but I adore how unapologetically chaotic it is. It’s letting the girls show all sides of them - their total badass side, their fun and happy side, their powerful side. And as another Kyujin/Jinni bias I’m extremely happy. Imagine the dance practice! And the live stages. Tank also slaps. I’m happy.
This was what I was hoping and expecting for, and what I got exceeded those expectations. I just love how this song goes and the switch up just fits so well especially the digital version.

I personally love their debut, and O.O is definitely growing on me a lot. I’ve been waiting for NMIXX since November and it was kinda less than I expected, but with scientist with twice I was expecting more but still loved it and the vibe so maybe it’ll be the same for O.O? It did have me confused the first time and I still hate the beginning until Kyujin’s kick and the fact that they RANDOMLY cut from the popin’ thing to the coke ad and also that they cut off Lily’s high note with “and finally we’ll WIN” but besides that it’s pretty cool!! I personally would have preferred that whole middle part with the doughnut shop and the sky area part to be part of a 3rd song on ad mare or possibly a title track/b-side for a comeback, with that part with Haewon then lily being the pre-chorus, with Lily’s high note continuing into the chorus (like Secret Story of the Swan by IZ*ONE or Savage by æspa). I feel like they could have 2 different concepts, (kinda like how I think red velvet has a red side and a velvet side, and for me personally I say that blackpink has a black and pink side, black being super girl crush with songs like how you like that, kill this love, or ddu-du ddu-du, while pink being more lovey and soft with songs like Stay, as if it’s your last, or kiss and make up) where there could be girl crush songs like the other parts of O.O and also more soft songs like the the middle part. As for the other part of the song, I do have to say that if anyone could pull off that coke ad, it’s haewon. She SLAYED. I would have put something small in between the beginning and the ad though because it kinda felt like they just cut off the beginning and randomly made the MV cut along with the beat randomly changing too. I was thinking before that the “Gon’ pOppin’ Open that bOOm” part was going to be the pre-chorus and then the clip from the highlight medley be the chorus, and I feel like that would work really well with another few verses and another chorus section (whatever it’s called when the chorus repeats i don’t really know what it’s called). Everyone is so pressed about it and hating the sh*t out of it (especially on Twitter and Tiktok)...Music is subjective, everyone has their own likes and dislikes...it's sad to see, that everyone on social media is trying to force people like us to hate this debut, instead of just going on with their lives and ignoring it. (i'm not even kidding, the amount of times i've been attacked since yesterday, is crazy) But that's sadly just how a big part of kpop stans act. Some of them are even going as far as to attack the members personally (f.e. a lot of ppl are fatshaming Jiwoo😔) The biggest problem i have, is how these people don't even try to give them a chance. Some of them haven't even seen the mv and are just jumping on the bandwagon, but also: 1) people complain about the silence before the switch up...the silence only exists in the mv and not in the official audio! 2) people complain about the song being messy in general...i don't think it is tbh. When you actually pay attention to it, you'll see that it actually makes a lot of sense. 3) if people would at least read the lyrics, they would understand, that this was literally intentional...Just look at the lyrics before the 1st chorus hits. They're literally talking about how this is just a "teaser", "get out coward", "watch me coming soon" etc. Y'all need to learn how to comprehend lyrics and you'll immediately understand the whole song a lot more😂 Anyways...thanks for your great reaction! Oh yes, it is honestly speaking one of the best songs I've ever heard. MV is f insane. Of course I understand that for some people it is to much. But not for me, I like when music is ambiguous and makes you think. NMIXX deserves a lot of attention and love. I know I'm late with this comment but well, better late than never. In my opinion, K-pop is the process of melting all the existing genres into the mix. In other words, the next generation of K-pop seems to want to move forward with new K-pop music that was reborn there, rather than the songs we listened to before. So, the first time you hear a new K-pop, it may feel like a strange music, but as time goes by, I think it will be reborn as a completely new genre of music.
Unfortunately I heard the leaked version first and I disliked the song so much, but after a few days I got used to it and now with this MV, everything started to get cohesive. I absolutely love it. Everyone was saying that Tank should've been the title track and I disagree. O.O's the perfect title track. They gave us everything in here. 🤯💜

I think unfortunately so many people ignore the reality that producers switch around between companies and so naturally their sound follows. Companies influence each other too, and nothing is "unique" or original anymore as people would love to think. I really like that JYPe are are going down this road, and I can't wait to see more from NMIXX!

I love the EDM harder part (first and last chorus). IMO the song would be absolutely amazing without the middle part switchup, I don't like the middle happy part as much but I understand why JYP did it. The choreo is great and Lilly is a killer with that voice. If the song was only first and the last part it would be my song of the year so far for sure but because of that softer part switchup in the middle I gotta give it to Eleven or Step Back.

The new group will introduce their own genre called "mixx pop" which is a mixture of different genres in one song, The genre is inspired from their name NMIXX in which the "N" is everything like NEXT NOW NEW and UNKNOWN N, while "MIXX" means mixed with anything.
All the seven members of NMIXX: Haewon, Lily, Jinni, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo and Kyujin are not limited to specific position which means, all the seven girls are main dancer, main vocal and main visual.

Damn it tell me why I hated this song upon first listen. But now I actually……dig it? I didn’t follow their pre debut content and only know Lily. I’m not sure if I plan to really get into them but I can’t definitely see myself being a passive fan.
Waiting for em aswell. First time JYP can actually compete vocal wise in my opinion. My bias would be Bae solely visuals for now. Problem now is to get used differentiating O.O to O.O.O cos im pretty sure you mentioned the later 🤣 also you would know coca cola co-produced this because jyp is not in it like he usually appear on jyp artists debut.

I love the EDM harder part (first and last chorus). IMO the song would be absolutely amazing without the middle part switchup, I don't like the middle happy part as much but I understand why JYP did it. The choreo is great and Lilly is a killer with that voice. If the song was only first and the last part it would be my song of the year so far for sure but because of that softer part switchup in the middle I gotta give it to Eleven or Step Back.

Tbh hated it at first but it’s growing on me haha. I just wish the lyrics were a little better lol, the beginning makes me laugh, especially “shoog shoog” lol. But the poppin it poppin it part kills. Idk y but haewon drew me instantly!! She’s 100% my girlie.
Edit: forgot to mention I am disappointed at how much copying was found with the visuals and concept stuff, but Im sure it will be fixed next comeback. The girls didn’t do anything wrong, their team is just super dumb. JYP needs to start interfering lol I heard he was hands off on NMIXX’s stuff. No matter how many people clown him, that man makes great music and great concepts and markets the ggs very well.
