King Edward IV built St. George's Chapel as an architectural response to hopefully outdo his rival king's building. These two sovereigns are unique in English history as the only example of a "timeshare" monarchy. Perhaps it's fitting that these two rival kings rest so close to each other in death, each entombed on either side of the high altar in St. George's Chapel.
