What your father said touched my heart. It is true, a musicians highest achievement isn't any award or grand prize, but how many hearts he/she could touch, how many eyes cried tears of joy listening to his/her music. Music is about emotions, and if a person's mood or their entire life changes because of a musician, isn't that make them great ? Exo is exactly that. They touch people's hearts with their music, and THAT is their biggest achievement, no award can compare to that.
even exo had said this like popularity and awards aren't important anymore, they care more about exol. Eventually popularity will die down, but their talent and impact won't!
