I slowed down in the last 20 years. Back then you could buy a car for 600 to a grand and I'd have a set limit in my mind how much I was willing to spend. About 20% more for maintenance. My labor. Then I'd drive it. Sometimes as much as a year and then resell it for 90% of what I had in it. Never less than 90%. So I was driving a year for pretty cheap.
