Great video. Question on the bulb vs switch. Looking to add bulbs to my three kitchen pendants with Phillips Hue Bulbs. Is a smart switch for those also necessary?

Hello, no, not necessary. You just need to make sure that your connected switch stays in the on position. I’m using Phillips hue lights in my kitchen, pendant lights, and pair them with a Lutron aurora switch. Not only can I control the power and dim the lights from the switch, but it also prevents people from accidentally turning this switch off.

Thanks, I’ll do both as a fail safe.

Hey greetings, big fan of your videos. I need some assistance. I recently upgraded from a iphone 10x max to a 15 pro max. I updated from cloud. On completion I cannot access my Home. Everything is unavailable except for all homepods saying configuring. This has been so a couple days. I have wiped and reinstall, rebooted, checked all setting, removed and re added homepods, logged out and logged into cloud again. I Dont know what else to try help, any suggestions?

You may be on the wrong home. Sometimes getting a new phone will create a second home. Open Apple Home and go to setting and see if you are on the correct home or see if you have 2 homes. Just a thought.

      Thanks @russelmason8841
      Good tip above from Bruce!
If possible, I would also verify if you can access your Apple home from another device like a family member’s phone or iPad. This could indicate if the problem is with the home itself or in how it’s syncing to your new iPhone. You could call Apple support but that will probably be a big time investment. Hope this helps and you don’t have to delete and reset your home! Let me know if you get it resolved. 🤞

@@TheBradLloyd Thanks so much for your responses. I did verify that all devices are on the same and only at home. I tried resetting both Apple TVs to the factory and was able to add and show up in (Home Hubs & Bridges) on the iPad and Mac, but none are connecting to the 15 Pro Max; therefore, everything in Home is still unavailable on that device. NB: all HomePods are still showing as configuring.
