- I love this film so much! That's why I made this video to remember Ang Lee's masterpiece, to remember how LOVE can DEFY anything, and to commemorate Heath Ledger (rest in peace).
I still can't get over this film... specially when I hear or think about Willie Nelson's song cover of "He Was a Friend of Mine" (originally composed and produced by Bob Dylan). By the way, this story was originally written as a short story by Annie Proulx

This breaks my heart
I was 15 when I came out and people made a lot of broke back mountain jokes it was difficult in a very toxic place where masculinity meant everything but I’m proud because younger people than me and I’m only 26 come to me now snd give me praise for what I did in that daft little town

It's very sad and difficult to watch this tribute. Why there is so much hate in this world? Why can't people just let them be? Love is love, regardless!

This is the best movie ever made although I wish the ending was better
Ennis goes to brokeback mountains to throw his ashes and Jack comes and hugs him from behind and then Jack explaince how he didn't actually die and escaped from those ppl who tried to kill him and they both live together and then Ennis's daughter finds out but she doesn't mind bc she wants her dad to be happy and promises that she won't tell anyone and then they both leave that place and live happily ever after

The ending of this film is melancholic and serves as a drama-tragedy. For love, Ennis risked it all. He ended up in a trailer, with his secret memories, and Jacks denim jacket & shirt, both stained in blood, hanging like a shrine in the closet of the small trailer. I wonder how many guys like Ennis are out there, living in poverty.
This takes away from the message of brokeback mountain. Its not about Jack and Ennis, its about homosexuality and how it was treated
Heath Ledger gave an outstanding performance in this movie.

This whole movie is a masterpiece.
Esta película cuenta una historia de amor. El director supo llevar la historia con una emoción y sensibilidad que pocas veces he visto. Almodóvar, al que le ofrecieron está pelicula dijo que el le hubiera puesto más sexo. No entendió nada. No es una película basada en el sexo únicamente. Habla de muchas cosas. Del miedo, que tiene Ennis, de la amargura por parte de Jack, pero sobre todo, del tiempo perdido. Algo que Ennis se da cuenta cuando hasta que muere Jack. Gracias a todos los actores que dijeron que querían hacerla. Esta película, no sería como ,sin las interpretaciones de los protagonistas: Heath Ledger y Jake Gyllenhaal, que le dan el tono exacto y la sensibilidad que tiene la película. Ahora es imposible ver a otros actores en su lugar. Pasa igual que en el Padrino. Por eso es una obra de arte. Te da que pensar. Que la vida, es el presente y lo demás no importa si el amor es verdadero. Es una enorme pena que Heath Ledger ya no esté. Hubiera tenido una carrera impresionante. Cómo otros actores que murieron muy jóvenes. River Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman y muchos más. Vidas que acabaron por las drogas o por un montón de pastillas,aunque fueran recetadas. Siempre nos quedarán sus actuaciones. Es lo que yo digo. Los actores no mueren, siguen vivos para siempre.

Esse filme foi tão importante na minha vida, lembro quando ele passou pela primeira vez na tv, foi num sábado a noite, depois da meia noite e na sala estávamos eu,unha avó e meu tio, na cena da barraca meu tio fez um revolução criticando o canal por passar o filme e aí mudou de canal, mas naquele momento tudo em mim mudou, e eu esperei meses pra poder conseguir assistir o filme de novo
Até hoje penso e se os dois tivessem ido pra fazenda do pai do Jack e vivessem juntos, mesmo que de forma velada, mas vivessem...
