    Great video !! awesome. I do have a question I'm using a Panasonic GH5 to take photos and I have a 85mm f1.5 and a 12-60mm 1.4 Len and I'm wondering which of the the two would you use for photos or use both . I'll be taking photos of a toddle in a week or so and I want to make sure I get it right. I mainly do videography but I'm slowly trying to transition some photography in my schedule. thx in advance for your help.

      Hi! I'm glad you found the video helpful. I would probably stick with your 12-60mm just because it has the ability to zoom. Toddlers move so fast it's easier to be flexible and adjust on your camera rather than chasing their movements. You will also have the ability to get more variety (full body->close up) without a lot of movement on your part. I typically prefer a zoom lens for little ones.

    Which model of dslr camerw is this?

    • @HillaryCraig
      @HillaryCraig  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I started with a Canon T3i and have used a Canon 6D for the last 3 or so years. If you are just starting out I recommend investing in lenses before investing in an expensive camera. You can learn a lot with a good lens. Once you feel your camera limiting your ability to capture images then it's time to upgrade.

      @@HillaryCraig oh, thank you so much. What kind of lenses i will must buy for good picture ? I want babys, and kids photographing. I am a starter

      A great lens to start with is a 50 MM fixed lens. It has a very shallow depth of field (Aperture F 1.8) easily improving portrait photography. That is where I started. Then I moved to the 24-105mm wide angle lens. It is much more expensive but a very handy lens. You can buy them used for a much better price .

    Just got my fujiflim x100f camera. I know the wild aperture and the burly background. But i Didn't Understand the zooming part of your lesson.lol

      Zooming in is another way to increase the blur of the background creating a more shallow depth of field when you are using a wide aperture. (smallest F-stop)
