- This is the start of our land and sea adventure. We first fly ✈️ to Anchorage by way of Seattle and then stay overnight at the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage. 🏔️🏔️
We explore downtown Anchorage, eat, tour our hotel room, and share with you what we learned on our adventure.
We have named this trip the Planes-Trains-Buses-Ships - TRIP!

I really enjoyed the Captain Cook Hotel. So quaint and great shops and restaurants. Perfect localtion for walking around downtown as well!

Do you have a recommendation between the ‘on your own’, ‘Denali explorer’, or ‘ concierge’ cruise tour options?
We went with the own your own option . We were able to see Denali National Park by hopping on a shuttle bus and exploring on our own.
Did you pack a separate suitcase for land and the sea portion. We are unsure how to deal with luggage
You actually have the option to do either one. You can pack just what you think you will need for the land portion and have the rest of your luggage sent to the cruise port. If you are not sure what you will need, you have the option to just keep all your luggage with you until you get to the cruise port. Enjoy your cruise!
Where was the Fletcher restaurant??
Fletchers is in the Capt Cook Hotel in Anchorage. Very good
Hi Robert, did you take the Princess meal plan offer during land tour? Would you recommend it? I reqired special diets like Lactose free.
Hi Shunchoi, I don't remember seeing an option for a special diet for the land portion of the trip. Would have been nice, I am Dairy free too, so I just had to avoid what I didn't want to put up with, I can tolerate some lactose.

@shunchoi7591 with Princess there was no meal plan option. We just ate at the local places available.

Loves your video, room tour answers a lot of questions for us. We from Australia, just wonder could we drink from the local tape water?
I mean if Alaska’s tape water is safe to drink or we need to buy bottled water
@@shunchoi7591 Good morning, we did drink the tap water at dinner and to fill our walking around bottles, it was very good. They did provide us bottled water for the coffee maker in our room
