Thundermist Lures If you are a teacher and always watch your videos also antonio is very good I invite you to my channel it will be a pride to have comments from you and enjoy my videos thanks
Here in Minnesota, we've been having a very warm winter. Ice on the lakes is thinning quickly. Cars and trucks are going through the ice! Might as well get ready for kayak and shore fishing.
..both work but I like to use a small snap which allows the spoon to have more flutter action and allows me to change up sizes and colors as need be :)
Hi Teresa....they sure can make you sweat, but once you figure out how many layers to put on underneath, it's much better - haveing said that, I went to Lake Simcoe last week and I did sweat a lot :)
Ivo we have safe ice on Martindale. Where were you fishing in this video? I walked out to the huts on Martindale and asked. We have between 3 (near shore) to 7 inches of ice.
Thundermist Lures I will have to check it out some time this season thanks. Martindale was slow for us that day a few guys pulled up 4 perch between them. It might be a good idea to stop by Peter's and pick up some large minnows for the pike in there. I'm sure you would crush them on that sting nose though.
usually go out of Lefroy, but there seems to be so many smaller fish there, so next time, we will venture out of Lefroy as there is deeper water there and bigger perch :)
Dicks Sporting Goods and Field & Stream stores carry the Stingnose - otherwise, you can always get them on line form such places like tackledirect or amazon or of course of from thundermist Lure Company...although stocks are low right now and new inventory arrives in the next few weeks :)
Here's a couple very simple ways to prepare perch, but I also like the panko recipe we just released last week as well :) th-cam.com/video/S0S9LvBSnH8/w-d-xo.html
Love the channel, you have single handidly got the wife and i into fishing, many purchases from Thundermist thus far. You mentioned thensurvival suit in the above vid, we cant seem to find the "thundermist" suit you wear, any additional info on that suit?
LOL...so glad you are your wide are enjoying some great days on the water :) The survival suit I have is a Mustang Brand...Buoy-OBuoy brand is a good one as well :)
I enjoy all your videos, you guys do an amazing job. What I was wondering was, do you often find white or red worms in the cavities of the fish you catch?
Those worms are typically found in fish that live in shallow lakes....in Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and the Niagara River, it is not an issue but it certainly is in some of the smaller/shallow lakes up north :)
Glad to see you managed to get some safe ice out there. Looks like you had a great day on the ice
It took a long time, but we finally got safe ice - it's been a warm winter :)
Looks like a good day of ice fishing.
We really had a lot of fun - thanks for writing in and good luck ice fishing :)
I have open water here middle TN and the bluegills are turning on. I will still take the luck though. :)

That is subtle the way you jig. My hands aren't very steady, so I guess I should just try to hold my rod steady!
LOL :)
When you are ice fishing with spoons do you usually have better success tying direct or using a snap lock?
..both work but I like to use a small snap which allows the spoon to have more flutter action and allows me to change up sizes and colors as need be :)
Nice I caught my PB Perch yesterday.
Congrats!!!!
I was told those survival suit make you sweat a lot...good video.
Hi Teresa....they sure can make you sweat, but once you figure out how many layers to put on underneath, it's much better - haveing said that, I went to Lake Simcoe last week and I did sweat a lot :)
what lake are you on
+MiB Agent T what reservoir is it. Where is it located.
This episode was filmed in Welland Ontario, on the old Welland Canal, now referred to as the recreational waterway :)
Thundermist Lures thanks. I may be visiting there soon. May change our plans from lake simcoe to this location.
Ivo we have safe ice on Martindale. Where were you fishing in this video? I walked out to the huts on Martindale and asked. We have between 3 (near shore) to 7 inches of ice.
this was in Welland - at the old canal....only 2 inches of ic there right now :)
Thundermist Lures I will have to check it out some time this season thanks. Martindale was slow for us that day a few guys pulled up 4 perch between them. It might be a good idea to stop by Peter's and pick up some large minnows for the pike in there. I'm sure you would crush them on that sting nose though.
How many fish did you catch and how did your perch fry turn out
....we ended up keeping about 25 and the perch fry was excellent :)
cant you tell me where the perch are normally located in this time of year? i got 3ft of ice here and i cant drill too many holes, maybe maximum 3.
They can be off points, drop-offs, and in areas holding weeds - good luck :)
@@thundermistlures thank you very much. i have tried in the shallow near the drop off, but no fish to see. next time i will try in the deeper part.
pretty small perch to be keeping...
Thanks for your feedback Jacob and all the best to you :)
Thanks for the show the ice here in northern Wisconsin is just starting to get safe. Can't wait to get out.
where are you fishing at?
Hi Aiden - this perch ice fishing episode was filmed out of Welland Ontario :)
can you give me a specific address and if so, can you tell me other good places for all pan fish please. and their addresses to. thanks.
just want to know where. don't know that many places to go.
Just went to simcoe today 10" at Virginia beach and 8" at cooks bay, decent fish, where do you usually walk out at on cooks? Great video!
usually go out of Lefroy, but there seems to be so many smaller fish there, so next time, we will venture out of Lefroy as there is deeper water there and bigger perch :)
Haha Antonio showed you up!
do you go for whitefish there great eating
We like to fish for whitefish but never got a chance to this year, but maybe next year :)
Is that a mustang branded suit?
Yes it is :)
think u set a word record for how many times the word hole has been said in one video
Thanks for the feedback and sorry about that :)
Where would I be able to get a hold of the sting nose? is it available only online?
Dicks Sporting Goods and Field & Stream stores carry the Stingnose - otherwise, you can always get them on line form such places like tackledirect or amazon or of course of from thundermist Lure Company...although stocks are low right now and new inventory arrives in the next few weeks :)
Thanks! have fun stay safe
What is your favorite way to prepare the perch you keep?
Here's a couple very simple ways to prepare perch, but I also like the panko recipe we just released last week as well :) th-cam.com/video/S0S9LvBSnH8/w-d-xo.html

Glad you enjoyed this episode and teasers will work as well :)
your only a few miles from my place . row row row 😉
where are they fishing?
Nice to be so close to good fishing :)
Hi Aiden - we were fishing out of Welland Ontario :)
what do you do about little red worms, do you still eat them?
We like to use the red worms in the summer for perch & sunfish and in the spring for bullhead catfish :)
Can u catch some larger fish? your views dropped a lot...
Thanks for your feedback and good fishing :) We'll see what we can do
that is not subtle....
Thanks for the feedback Riley and good luck on the water :)
