Wow i never thought of it that way. You arent suddenly good or bad you practice and feel your own confidence and find what fuels you to keep improving. Even someone like shroud isnt a god. Hes just a normal dude who likes video games. He doesnt calculate every single option in his head like a calculator. He just plays to improve and learn. Thank you n0thing so much. This video taught me so much about myself and where my priorities need to be in life. Thank you.
Yes but u gotta learn how to think while playing ... I mean u don't just go rush b cyka blyet and expect to get better ... I think a goal should be set
Man, the quality of this video is damn good, like a TED talk speech. During the video I just kept getting reflection of my own problems both in game and life. Thank you Jordan, that was well spent 12 minutes of my life.
Your rant is spot on for most walks of life. The Army, especially infantry and combat MOS, Rangers and SF, train to and past what most individuals think is "their" limit or what they are capable and its all for muscle memory. So that when the metal meets the meat if your brain shuts down ( either due to sleep dep or exhaustion etc) or your brain/mind freaks out your body will revert back to muscle memory and instinct. Having theoretical knowledge is vastly different than having practical knowledge.
I don't realise how tense this game makes me until n0thing makes me feel better about something I didn't know was bothering me. I really like this guy he talks a lot of sense in a short space of time.
On the topic of becoming pro I think people need to remember that dedication and having fun is key. If you can actively work on your game and enjoy the different challenges that come with it you’re on a good track. Unfortunately for a lot of people including myself CS:GO just isn’t as fun as it used to be when I first started playing( 2014) and I don’t have enough time to grind and work on my game. What I admire most about pros is that dedication and grind.
Good lesson for people. Feel for weapons is such a huge part of the game, for me at least. I personally don't need to even focus on my crosshair and rather stare at an enemy if I shoot them. My hand does the Spray and controls the rest with moving the central point of my screen on the enemy. With spraying it comes down to feel as well. I noticed the 'set' Spray when spread was off for the M4 was up and left. I noticed though that when I just felt the way I normally did it, I move a tad to the right during the first transition. This is because my hand is coordinated well enough with my eyes that it just moves to get the bullets to the central point I'm looking at (the enemy), even if the technical Spray is off, it's on point to the way my own system of killing works when I see an enemy. Developing your own perception is how you improve, because it allows you to get a better idea of the mechanics as a whole - almost to a point where it's hard to explain without sounding weird. Anyway keep up good work n0thing!
Love you man, following you along f0rest and cArn since 1.6 days. You are the most sincere and humble guy esports ever known. Just wanted to leave this here.
Hey Jordan, I'm brazilian and since i've discovered your channel, I've been enjoying it VERY MUCH!!! You are the coolest pro player that really cares about teaching your viewers in how to become a good player, how to practice and have a chance to stand out in the matches! Nicely done! I've seen a Gaules stream that he talked about you and how nice of a guy you are! And it seems to be so! Thank you for your videos!
I wish people who wants to be a teacher can at least look at things from your perspective. And dang it I'm listening to your rant without english subtitles your english is very easy to listen to. Nice man.
I am 28 years old and have been gaming since I was 14'ish. I wished I understood the words about getting tilted years ago. Only recently I can game without being super competitive, because I now understand that you will not be better when you go super serious about gaming. Losing and deranking is part of the proces. Don't worry about it. I wished I had heard and understood your words when I was younger, so I could have played more relaxed all those years. Thanks for not showing off, but being honest in a respectfull way to help others.
When I saw Jordan on JRE years ago, he was the reason why I got into CS:GO and why I played ever since the Arms Deal Update. He's such a great inspiration and a humble guy
Absolutely love it Jordan! The way you speak about improving at the game and about all the aspects of the game seems so refreshing for some reason. Really inspiring. Keep it up!
Neat video, good to still see n0thing active in the scene. I feel like someone should talk about jiggle-peeking and the lack of good wallbangs. With how jiggle peeking and the movement works in this game, I feel like wallbanging should be better because in several games I play now when people just constantly jiggle peek and just pre-fire, all I can see is their arm sticking out and that's it. Meanwhile, they're able to land hits on me and all I can do (or feel like I can do) is wait for them to screw up their jiggle peek and peek out too far showing more of their model. Also considering that tagging is even weaker too, wallbanging should be better around the corners. That's one of my frustrations whenever I play now. Some dude is hiding in a dumb spot and his gun is sticking out and I can't wallbang him without only doing 1-5 dmg per hit.
i also get the feeling that if you have a bigger crosshair, spraying becomes easier. if you learn a new spray and somehow need to see where your crosshair is going whilest your eyes are on the target, a bigger crosshair stays in you peripheral view way better than just a tiny cross. At the end its really just prefernce and your own playstyle.
Nice video Jordan. Sure helped a lot of people that sometimes they just overthink. Our "Mind" is possibly the most important factor to get very good at something. I would say that applies to everything in life! Well Done!!
Just got your course on udemy, going to be trying it out. I like how you mentioned on that ADAD shooting if you stop and the bullet does not go where you stopped to restart it and I said to myself...NOBODY tells you that. They just say practice on a wall moving side to side or side to side shooting it, but they always miss the part on restarting it if you mess it up. You da man!
cfjlkfsjf when you rank up to le or above it's pretty common thing to do,no one remembers the entire spray pattern mostly ,they go for first 4-5 bullets (which are downwards) and then reset,if not hit .
I'm not to worried about MM. I realize that I don't wanna be good at just CSGO, my goal has always been I wanna be good at video games. I'll put the work in to get better but I wont be doing MM that much. 30 mins FFA, nade training, ADAD training, peak/angle training, retakes, surf (not all everyday). But also i'll play other games. I've always wanted to be someone who can get a new game and be good at said game but i've never really put the effort into being a good player for that game as i'm not naturally good. My goal is not to be a pro gamer, just someone who can frag at a decent level (I know someone like this). I've never actually done ladders and I'm 34, not my cup of tea but i'll watch pro matches for new things to learn.
I know whats the main problem is for most: overthinking you got to close your mind and belive into yourself that you can hit that head and hitting headshot becomes second nature the things that you start worry then is steps rotatiton and mapknowledge
i literally got better at playing cs when i stopped focusing about getting a higher rank and getting a win streak. i focused on how can i make a scenario possible and how can i create an advantage and how can i annoy my enemy.
What he says about crouch spraying not being better is wrong, though understandably so as it's hard to make a thought out point while distracted. In a committed fight, crouching offers better accuracy for individual bullets in a spray, which will often make a difference at medium distances.
yooo I watched this back when it came out and every since i practiced guiding my recoil by flicking at random whilst spraying and maintaining a dot on each spot, and shooting 60+ bullets a time, and now that i moved to valorant, I realised that it's easy even when the recoil is very random, compared to what people say "theres no set patern therefore its hard"
These aren't only lessons for csgo. This is life shit. The inner working of what he is saying can be applied to anything. Big ups to you for dropping knowledge on these kids
You've my respect Hell yeah dude That was the best guide I've seen yet and thanks I mean that's right I know my style not you then how can Jordan aka N0thing tell what can I be... But this guide is really the best and I also try to shoot continuously trying to control the spread... I really do that a lot of times
Kinda funny that when I checked the course one of the first requirements was: ''Know your way around the maps in the competitive pool, understand the basic movement physics, and a basic understanding of shooting physics (you have to control the recoil!)'' :'D
Another good example is my mom was told she would never walk again after brain surgery 6 months later she was walking... The only thing that made that happen was her determination nothing the docter said had any affect on what she was capable ofm
This is why I continue to play csgo, stepmania, and quake despite the salt they cause.... anger motivates me to not fuck up next time. Besides, salt is kinda fun. I don't like to blindly copy pros and their settings because I already learned in cod4 that everyone has their own config that comes from the feel of the game.... I will do everything wrong first so I know next time how to avoid that and so I can have my fundamentals nailed down before I even think about looking at pro guides.... then I practice what I learned from others in my own way until it clicks.
When I waa setting up my CSGO config, it took months for me to complete. A couple of trial and errors. Looking for what are the most accesible keys in my keyboard and what are the appropriate binds for the keys. What is the right crosshair size and settings for me and the right viewmodel for me. I feel for you. I'm in the exact same situation as you. Same settings too. Luckily my college gives me a bursary to buy a new pc / laptop and I'm gonna start working soon. I can recommend trying to find a job if you can at your age. Any job and save up. That's what most of us kids in the UK do. Some get jobs by the age of 15. Paper boy, cashier, working at McDonald's. I really hope you do get your new dream pc to get better bro :) And not gonna lie for you to get supreme with those specs is mad. I only got to le before I got stuck. Salute to you my friend

Younesbkl I got used to 800x600 in other FPS games with my shit laptop for years and when I got my good PC I still play on low res on cs and other games.
