I have to AIR+ units and 1 Mini. The Plus units are dedicated to my RASA 8" and 8SE, the Mini will be shared on my Meade LX85 that runs the WO Zenithstar 103 and other small OTA's. These things make imaging so easy it's ridiculous
Hey Karl! Yes, I've become a bit of an ASIAIR collector myself! LoL! They're so fun and easy to use on certain rigs, so I'll be using mine well into the future! Happy imaging to you and best wishes from Scotland! :)
Wonder why no USB3.0 and 4 USB 2? I have a Plus. Love it to bits as it does everything, PA, plate solving, control mount, guiding. Couple of issues I have are low frame rate capture, wifi weakness and a weird interference blip when using video. ZWO cameras are good so no concern about being locked in there. Works with Canon which is great. I might have to get another unit as swapping it between units is annoying. Look forward to your review on the mini and how useful usb 2.0 only connection works out.
Thanks so much...yes, I've not had any bottlenecks or any issues with the mini so far...in fact it downloads images to my iPad so much faster than the Pro does, so that wifi antenna seems to be working well! Thanks for tuning in and full review coming soon! Have a great day! :)
I was so wanting to get this but when I found it only worked with their own cameras it would not work for me without spending even more money. lol It does look like a nice piece of equipment - maybe in the future this will be added. I still have not had a clear night to get the telescope out and tomorrow they are talking snow with more snow. lol All the best... Jim
Totally hear you on the 'exclusivity' issue, Seamus! Its always good to keep options open in this hobby, but that leads very quickly to empty wallets! Lol! Best of luck with your imaging this year and clear skies! :)
QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do you have any of the ASIAIR units? Let me know how you like them in the comments below! 🔭📸
