Illegal Gold Mining in Kasempa District continues

Illegal Gold Mining activities in Kasempa District have continued following the discovery of a new gold site, 26 kilometers from Kasempa Turnoff.
This is after Police stopped illegal gold mining activities at Kimabokwe Site which led miners to discover a gold site on Kalulushi Road in Kasempa.
A check by ZNBC news found illegal gold miners have set up camp at Kalulushi turn off waiting to conduct gold mining activities at the newly discovered site.
However, these mining activities are being conducted on private Property belonging to NIC Mining, who plan on setting up a copper mine.
NIC Mining Director WILLARD NJOBI has called on government to put an end to the illegal activities in the area adding that currently people are conducting mining without their permission.
