    The final scene looked bloody fantastic!

    I’ve been so hesitant to give the 3d environment a try. Now I cannot see how I ever did combat with elevations in terrain without it!

    I just wanted to chime in and say, this has made me finally start to seriously consider getting Foundry. The old 2d / isometric maps for foundry really didn't do it for me. Now I need to look into how well Foundry handles overworld maps and 'Theatre of the Mind' style (Visual Novel style backgrounds + character art.)

      Welcome to the rabbit hole! You might check out Ripper's Simple Quest module. I believe it has an overworld map function that's pretty great. Fix it's a premiumofuoe, but Ripper has so many good stuff, including 3D Canvas, So if you are going 3D, then it won't be any extra cost.

    I’ve never seen 3d canvas automatically do a token. How do you get that to work?

    • @Baileywiki
      @Baileywiki  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, but what do you mean by "automatically do a token"? Do which thing exactly?

    Does the 3d canvas work with token vision/fog of war?

      It does. There are performance tradoffs you want to understand from Ripper directly, but both work.

    Dungeon Alchemist should sync right up to this. A 3D engine to make 2D maps - just remove that 2D flattening and drop the model into Foundry 3D.

      Alas, not that simple. DA models would be way too taxing on systems if dropped directly into Foundry.

      @@Baileywiki Solid point. Has to be client side rendering and yes DA is taxing already. I'm going to try the 2D map in 3D thing this week. Great knowledge and resources per usual. Thanks

    what is the name of this module called asset browser?

    • @Baileywiki
      @Baileywiki  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do you mean the 3D asset browser? That's part of 3D Canvas. It's got a lot of assets already in it, and quite a lot more if you subscribe to Baileywiki Patreon for one month.
