we also have had a very mild winter here in south australia as well holly, i actually was harvesting tomatoes up to a month ago (the plant has died now though) so that tells you how mild it has been.

I had a great season of growing Green peppers/Jalapeños. Tomatoe harvest fair . Cucumbers didn’t make it, the heat brutal this year., However my Gourds/pumpkin plants did wonderful. Fall project- expanding growing area more pumpkins 🎃. You’re garden looks vibrant/healthy. Jon

Love your garden looks so pretty I can't grow most of what you have, polies , slugs , squirrels, rats, raccoons and the out of the blue opossums came to my garden for free meals.
and I live in the city, so far I relocated 5 squirrels few more to go..lol trying to save my grapes.

I want to start grafting as well. Apparently, grafting onto a root stock, grown from seed, is easier than trying to root softwood cuttings.

The pineapple sage looks so nice. I've never grown it but I'm thinking about trying next spring. I don't think it would survive a zone 6 winter so maybe I can overwinter it inside. Have you tried lemon thyme? It has an amazing aroma.

How hard is it to find those fun perennials like Egyptian walking onion in WA? We may be moving over soon and I'm sad I'll have to leave my permie garden behind

Definitely not mainstream but we have a great gardening community here and markets and gardening festivals that often have them!

Do you have any issues with scales on your citrus trees? The ants have been going crazy this spring here in qld putting scales all over my trees 😭 I had to remove all of my lime's flower so it could focus on outgrowing the scales instead
