I've been there once before (someone else paid the bill cuz i can't afford it) and it was very nice. They kept bringing by samplers even after ordering. Very nice.
We grew up with Lawry's seasoned salt in our home for the past 50 to 60 years. I've heard mixed reviews about Lawry's; some say its overpriced, banking on the name and history. Others say it's a great experience. To me, this restaurant is dated, too stuffy, too expensive, and unnecessary. Even in LA, you can find great eateries that won't set you back a car note payment.

That's the Fred Flintstone cut.. we had a place like that in MA called Bishop's that went out of business many years ago. Huge slabs of red meat. Nobody eats like that anymore.

You should try tam'o shanter it's in los Feliz it's actually owned by Lowry's. It's a Scottish theamed restaurant that's been there for about 100 years. Walt Disney was regular there they even have a plaque at his favorite table.

Couldn't agree more! I've been to michelin starred restaurants better and cheaper than Lowry's. It's just been overrun by corporate pursuits.
