I think -1 Strength is alright if you go second. S10 stops wounding Terminators on 2+, S8 stops wounding Marines on 2+, etc. Doesn't apply to everything of course, Exocrines hit the exact blind spot. But I would like to point out that this doesn't exclude higher-strength than toughness or something. S3 shooting now wounds Marines on 6s, etc.
This will be my go to DA detach. So much crazy stuff you can pull off on this one. 3x6 ICC with libbies, DWK adv/charge with libby, azrael with hellblasters/sternguard so much potential.
Even if the +1w wound of vanilla marines help, i kinda wantto play 3*6 inner circle companion that hit on 2 reroll and throw ezekiel in an unit. I also wanna try Draxus with the new heavy intercessors profile and lethal hit strata
x2 Librarians in 5 Man Infernus Marines inside Impulsor. For a turn of 5D6 S5, AP-1, damage 1, then when they crack the impulsor and fail to charge, then you go into Pyromancy for a turn of AP-2 flamers seems like a strong turn.
Question on inquisitors, they can attach to DEATHWATCH KILL TEAM. Does that mean he can join the new kill teams as they have the DEATHWATCH and KILL TEAM keywords?
Just gonna say DW Knights can get led by a Terminator Librarian for +2 move, Advance and Charge and +2 strength to hit that all powerful S8 to wound T4 on 2s with Sustained Hits and OoM to reroll 1s. Definitely a spooky unit for this detachment.
@@vidarthorsby2052 it’s because they will give the unit the psyker keyword if the Inquisitor is a psyker, meaning the unit now has Adeptus Astartes Psyker
You're limited to only leading "Battleline" units (Intercessors, Assault Ints., Tac Marines) with a psychic Inquisitor though, so that really cuts down on the units getting support from this detachment.

My kingdom for a Librarian in Gravis armor
Inquisitor with heavy intercessors.
Boom. Adeptus Astartes Psyker unit.
I'd just like to say, you can play this detachment as Black Templars and just have no rules but AOC lol
You can include inquisitors I guess?
Loving this detachment with the new Deathwatch.

The Pyromancy strat bonus being funny is all the convincing I need to play this detachment wrong. 😂
I absolutely agree!

I like Tigurius in this detachment just because I love Bladeguard and he's the only vanilla psyker that can lead them. 😋
Thanks John and Jack.
Pedro Kantor with Bladeguard and 3 squads of Librarian Sternguard let's goooooooo

They like -1 Strength too, makes a difference for Forgefiends etc.
Why wasn't this the tsons detachment...
I kitbashed psykers for mye space wolves. This looks fun. I did not know inqizitors triggered this. Sounds nice on fatmarines.

@ it is a limitation but he was just mentioning the keyword interaction.
