    Good vid. pit passes, entry fees and sanction fees really add up over the year.
    As a former midget team co-owner the first thing you learn is that buying the racecar is the cheapest part of the deal. In addition to the car and spare parts you need a place and a whole set of tools to work on it, a trailer to tow it, a rig big enough to tow it and the crew and tools to work on it at the track and, of course, fuel for the rig and maintenance on the tow rig as needed. If you have a day job, like we did, sometimes we needed to take time off without pay to go racing. Was it worth it? Hell Yeah! Did we make money? Hell No!

    I'm from ks and unfortunately we don't have those down here. But my fiancé and I were in Pennsylvania 3 yrs ago and we got to watch them for the first time. They looked like a lot of fun and everyone was competitive in them. Hearing this I honestly think a lot of tracks around here could run those since they're not omg expensive. Love the video. Who would have thought this would be cheaper than motorcycle racing.... jeeeez...... that's awesome! big bikes are 18k new now, you can get used for about 9k, plus 500 bucks for tires each day or sometimes twice a day. 10 gallons of fuel should get you through the weekend. Track prices are 200-300 a day. Transponders are about 500, crash fairings are about 1k, exhaust and tune to be competitive about 2k. 3k for suspension, Gear is about 2k average.... so to get into Motorcycles lets call it 12-14k average for liter bikes maybe 8-10k for 600 class.

    How often do frames get bent? What does a hard crash where the front end hits a wall at a 45 deg. angle cost to repair assuming the frame isn't bent but all the suspension has to be replaced?

    • @AJBunch6
      @AJBunch6  ปีที่แล้ว

      That really depends on how often you wreck. If you take it to someone to do the clip you are looking at around $500-750 per clip after parts and labor. A lot of the suspension parts you can get in package deals that save you money as well. If you were to knock the whole front end off which rarely happens where you can’t salvage one side of the car you are looking at around 1-3k depending on if you buy all new stuff or get used deals.
