oh my god, I see that you removed the control arm very easily from the Axel of the 4x4 and from the joint 🤔 and I suffer to remove it 😫 and what I realized is that you don't remove the bolt from the shock absorber, damn thanks for the video, greetings from Dodge city kansas 🤟🤟😎
I’ve been looking for a video like this. 2 part question, how did you get the bolt out of the spindle/knuckle? Mines just spins. I got the nut off but the bolt isn’t coming out. Is the bolt completely threaded or do I need to just hammer it out after I’ve taken the nut off?
I started to watch a video as soon as you started to love tap that bolt I was through watching your on knowledgeable crappy work I would like to know how you got the nuts back onto that bolt tip if anything you should have put the nuts back on the end or even double made it and then smack it a little bit after you added some PB blaster on everything Just my opinion have a good day
That particular bolt you're talking about has a pointed tip on it , so he could beat the shit out of it ith his love tapping hammer and the nut would thread right back on still
You saved my butt with the air chisel trick and it dropping right out. I was about to throw in the towel til I saw this.
This helped me today on 2012 Infiniti QX56 (QX80 style before it became QX80). Thank you!!
Great video. Happy to see it wont need the full control arm. Im already doing the uppers and the CV axles.
Thanks for the video. Very similar to Frontier/xterra too.
It sure gave you a headache trying to reinstall the ball joint, but great step by step, Thanks
Do I need that C clamp to get the ball joint back together
So basically give everything a love tap. 🤟
Mahalo you make it look easy
Great. Upper/Lower Balljoints, Outter/Inner tie rods, and CV's are on my list to do this monday. That lower ball joint looks like a B****...
If all else fails and I end up throwing things, couldn't i just use a hammer and a balljoint cup to install that new lower balljoint?
Did that tighten er up or did it still sound like it was falling apart on bumps n potholes? From Michigan 😅
Fixed the loose ball joint. Still had to replace the blown strut to make it sound better.
I ended up replacing the whole arms since the inner bushings were all toast. Most of the noise comes from the inner bushings letting loose.
What were you doing with that compressor? Seems like yoi were struggling with it

Thank you sir!
Think this the same or similar for a 13 Infiniti qx56?
I would suspect it would be the same.
It's the same
$$ labor time?

The bolt should hammer out. No threads on the Spindle.
Awesome! Thank you for the information.
Just beat it. Wd40 rust penetrator works great.
Thankyou
I think that you should have cut off the lower portion of the ball joint and then used the ball joint press
Or just get the proper ball joint press adapters
"Ball joints out."..lol!
No torque specs ????
It looks like you tore the boot cuz you're supposed to use a different install on the bottom
Rock out with your “Ball Joints” out!
Customer will be back in 6 months for a wheel bearing
Shocked the upper joint didnt spin whem removing the bolt lol
06 Titan. Every single size he said was wrong for me
So what size you use
Yikes!! And I thought GM ball joints were bad?
I haven't replaced one in a 120k on my Titan.
@@billschafer4087finally replacing the ones on my 04 titan at 196K
So the press isn't needed for extraction. just insertion. talk about a persuader.
How many times u been divorced? Lol

And..... you don't know what you're talking about..... there we go.

Thanks.
I beat the new one back in.
