Thanks for checking out gored! Heavy is the head comes right after gored on their 2020 album, so idk who told you it was older. And heavy is the head goes into a slower song, "a sad cartoon" so that explains the slow ending. That album is very much about being listened to as a whole, and how the songs flow into each other. Definitely a road trip listen. They are from liverpool, so sometimes the accent creeps in and makes the vocals tough to understand. Sad you didn't like the songs too much, but they're worth a second listen, ideally in the context of the album. I still listen to this album weekly lol. If you want to revisit Loathe, you might like their older stuff, like "It's Yours" and "East of Eden. Thanks for checking them out regardless though! Nice kendama btw, should try to hit a nasty trick during an intro.
I'm definitely coming back to loathe again, I can feel an 80+ banger coming from them! I should just start a kendama channel lmao Thanks for the support!
hey, in case you couldn't tell: the sound in the background at 11:15 the second the music comes back in is actually the sound used in dead by daylight, when the plague uses a corrupt fountain (where she gets her red puke from).
what the fuck is kendama anyway, i find a bit funny the fact that you called heavy is the head being anrgy for the sake of being angry and the song you heard before it is gored, it's exactly the other way around and heavy is the head have some lyrical background behind it, a deeper meaning loathe doesn't sound overproduced as many modern metalcore bands, they're muddier, heavier, louder in a way that compliments their sound, surely it's not for everyone's taste but i can be sure to say that you'll get into them quickly if you want to. also, if you want to enjoy those songs at "full force" - you should check the whole album without any reaction videos. each interlude, transition, song position on the tracklist makes sense there. if you want to make more reaction videos - then i think you would like something like aggressive evolution/two-way mirror/screaming or a sad cartoon+reprise/i let it in and it took everything
Yeah I think the story of "Gored" is they finished the album and someone said its lacking something really aggressive and it pissed Erik off so bad he wrote Gored in one night. So yeah, Gored is heavy for the sake being heavy🤣
lol Somehow found the 2 heaviest and least vocal friendly on the entire album lol. 95% of Loathe songs have heavy and cleans and these are the only 2 without cleans(edit, forgot about Broken Rhythm Vision). Funny enough, you also did "New Faces in The Dark" which is probably the 3rd heaviest on the album. The song right before "Gored" is "Is it really you?" and you would have no idea its the same band, nevermind same album lol "Heavy is the head...." is the only song I dont like on the album cuz i find it kind of uninteresting compared to the rest of the album
Where the fuck can you possibly get that score from 74.6? What the fuck? You have a 1000 point comparison score of everything in your head? No one on earth.
