What makes Wei Ying's suffering hit me so hard is the fact that MDZS was written describing the events surrounding him. As for HC and LBH, I can understand they suffered just as much (even more in HC's case), but their POVs weren't well shown as much as Wei Ying's was. Which is why I cry the most for Wei Ying out of these three. It pains me a lot as to how alone he was throughout his journey until the end where LWJ finally took action to let him know that he's not.

I love mxtx so much, all three of her books are flawless, there are a few complains i have like how she always makes the side characters suffer so much.... but I really like how each book is better than the previous one. Like the first book is very funny but there's also angst, its also really sad but ended up well in the end. The 2nd book had more characters and ended up making us all feel conflicted about the 'antagonists' but compared to the main cp in first book there's more chemistry between lan zhan and wei ying its unquestionably better than the 1st book. The third book, there's sooo much chemistry and tension between the main cp ever since the first time they showed up on screen together, Hua Cheng's love is no joke, seriously. No one can love like Hua Cheng. Also there were more chapters and more mystery in 3rd book the 4th part of the 3rd book was pure torture, i still feel pain when i recall it. I personally feel like the 3rd book is her best work so far. I could write a whole essay about how much i love these three books 😂😂. Im expecting a lot from her 4th work, even if it does not top tgcf it would still be worth reading
