What time of year was this please? We are currently sailing in the Amvrakikos Kolpos (inland sea from Preveza) and the day time temperatures are 38C! The sea temp is 33C (it’s a very shallow sea area).
Wow sounds hot near Preveza at the moment! 🔥 That sea temp is crazy! We were in Preveza in April and there was snow on the mountains 😂 This video was filmed in mid to late March. Some days were 15°C, which was pretty cold when out sailing. It warmed up to low 20s though which was great for doing walks etc 😊
So, I'm all caught-up with the back catalogue now, it's been a fun watch and I'm looking forward to your continued adventures. Considering that you re-flagged the boat, I'm assuming that you do intend to eventually sail her to Oz..? That will definitely be an epic sail..! I have to admit that I don't fancy any ocean crossings and I'm very content to restrict myself to the Med... I hope your summer has turned out well...and you're enjoying new locations. You're definitely living the "Three S's" of the live abroad life - sailing, sightseeing, and servicing. BTW, don't forget the old mantra of slip, slop, slap...I'm a little concerned that you're getting too much sun; the Med might not appear to be as savage as the Aussie sun, but remember, European skin and prolonged exposure don't play well together, and I've already had a few bits cut out. Fair winds.
Cheers! The dream would be to sail back to Australia for sure, but it's a long way! We are slowly making our way west, and will just keep going while we're still enjoying it. We just arrived in Sardinia today 😊 Love the "three S's" of liveaboard life - very true! Can totally understand wanting to stay in the Med, ocean crossings are pretty daunting and the Med is a fabulous place - you could spend years sailing here and still not see it all. It does have its fair share of rough weather though 😅 We have been getting a lot of sun! We sit in the shade as much as we can, wear sunscreen and hats etc but it's hard to avoid sometimes. Big change from being in Tasmania and working office jobs! Doing our best to be sun safe 🌞

Beth and Elvie are jealous you got to go up in the lighthouse. They're desperate to go up in the Eddystone Lighthouse 😂
Oh no 😂 At least they'll be able to imagine it now I guess! I also remember really wanting to go in the one at Eddystone as kids!
