My twin and I are 47, and were born at 26½ weeks. The life expectancy, at the time ('77), was between 19% and 50%, but we both made it. With the advances in obstetrics, since then, I have no doubt things will work out wonderfully! 🫶🏼

I've never forgotten when a grad school classmate announced his wife were expecting quints. The internet was still a newly burgeoning thing, as was the increase in multiples, so I took some time to search up resources for them. Then they learned they had lost 1 and would be having quadruplets. More resources, including on dealing with that very specific grief. By now, their little ones are old enough to be in grad school themselves. But if _I_ still remember, it's a certainty their parents do.

We are due at around the same time! I’m due in June as well! My twin sister and I were a triplet pregnancy too, almost 40 years ago. She and I are the best of friends 💙 We still think about our triplet sibling sometimes, and are glad that “being triplets” is part of our family’s story. My mum still sheds a tear about the loss of the 3rd baby when we talk about it. There’s room for that sadness! It’s part of love. But my sister and I grew up as “the twins” and it was the very very best. We’re both super gay too. We bought an old house together and we live there together with my wife, and my sisters daughter, and in June- a little wee baby too! Big love to you from Canada!
As a mother of twins, now grown, I suggest a stroller that puts the baby one behind the other to get through doors. 27 weeks is the date you start to breath easy. Their hearts and lings are developed enough to work on their own. Every day after that is a blessing. You can do this. Rupert will be the best helper. ❤
Yes 100 percent I had a double stroller for my nephew and daughter who are 4 months apart the side by side ones are so hard to push and you can’t fit in doors I loved the one where one sat behind the other it was so much easier!!

My mom had to switch to a back, front one not because of doorways but because I kept poking and bothering my sister. We're not twins, just almost Irish Twins so I was older but not old enough that I stopped when fussed at.
I think Rupert's dream about the happy baby the night before your scan was they baby who went to the other side, just visiting him and letting him know its happy. And its ok.
I’m certain it was, especially considering all the other signs they were given, like the rainbows etc but I was hesitant to comment about it because Jessica asked us not to focus on the sad bit, but hopefully this is hidden until she’s ready. ❤❤
I like when you yiu two are filming and your son interrupts, you guys dont dismiss him. Some family channels do that to their children and make it serm like filming is more important than parenting your child. I noticed you guys dont do that and I find it very sweet.🩵
I was about to comment that, they make the space and time to respond to him like he’s an equally important human in the room, just like they would for an adult. Like he’s one of the group, not an annoyance
Yay twins! As a former childcare provider, keep in mind that side by side buggies are HEAVY!! The ones in one line, the weight is more even. I know that will be something to think about with Jessie’s EDS. So excited for all of you, and Rupert is going to be an amazing big brother!
I have double stroller with one in front and one in back. I love it. The seats lay down for the kids too. It’s light enough for me to lift regularly too. I have tendinitis so I need the stroller to handle my 2 kiddos.
I had babies 22 months apart and I noticed that the side by side strollers didn't fit through a normal doorway so I went with the long one so it could go anywhere a normal stroller could fit! Definitely something to consider, it's no fun having to set the stroller up outside your home to bring the babies for a walk!
This is v intriguing to me, I actually have the opposite experience! I'm a childcare provider who has looked after two separate sets of twins, one with a side-by-side buggy and one with an in-line one - I actually found the in-line to be more difficult to manoeuvre because the weight was more concentrated on a smaller surface area, to the point where it caused wrist pain due to having to exert such pressure when turning corners! I will concede that the side-by-side is definitely trickier when it comes to navigating doors though 😬
I know Jessica wanted to have her kids close one after the other so they could be friends, but it's also beautiful and special when your older kid is old enough to realize a sibling is coming and then they get to hold them for the first time. Rupert seems to share your excitment, and that reminded me of my cousin when she got a little sister :') Congrats to you guys!
I have two siblings. One is pretty close in age to me, 16 months younger, and the other is 6.5 years younger. I grew up having such a a closer relationship to my youngest sibling than the one closer in age to me. We're close now, but as kids our relationship was incredibly antagonistic and not compatible. I asked her a few years ago, "As a kid, our parents always said you looked up to me, but I genuinely always felt like you wanted to do the opposite of whatever I liked." And she immediately responded, "No, I definitely deliberately did the opposite of you." I hated green, so she loved it. I loved pink, so she hated it. I liked Barbies, so she only wanted to play with Polly Pockets. My dad has four siblings, but the only one he's close to know in his 60s is a decade older to him. Point is, you never know how siblings will or won't bond because they are their own people, but I strongly recommend not denying reality if they aren't competitive or argumentative together 😅
I am the oldest sibling with pretty much exactly the same age gap between me & my brother as Rupert will have between him & the twins. My brother was definitely closer with the even younger brother who was less than 2 years younger than him, but we were all pretty close as kids, and I remember really enjoying the pregnancy anticipation and new baby joy.
I'm a non-identical triplet, and my mum was told throughout her entire pregnancy that it was high risk, so much so that the doctors actually recommended to my parents that they reduce it down to a twin pregnancy. My parents didn't do that, despite the risks, but my mum got pre-eclampsia and had a c-section at 33 weeks. Now me & my two sisters are 23 years old!
While I am not a triple, I am a twin whose twin didn't survive. It's amazing and lovely when a family holds space for the loss of a multiple. I'm almost 30 and still hold a place in my heart for my twin I never got to grow up with. The twins and Rupert will always have a special place for the lost sibling.
Same here. I "miss" my twin and feel they are a part of me and my family. For some reason it is always quite emotional for me to think about. I wish I could have met him.
Ditto! My twin was stillborn and at a time where there was nothing done - no photos, no memorial, just a coffin and then no one knows. I named her Aimee. She might not be here with me but she is in spirit.
Congratulations! My now 35 year old twins also shared a placenta, but had separate sacs. In fact, one of them was getting access to the placenta before the other, so I had to bombard them with nutrients to ensure there was enough for everyone. They were born a month early, and spent 3 weeks in a NICU - and they're brilliant, healthy, caring humans

@TudorositiesbyMaureen I'd never heard of it until I saw someone post a video being shocked that their eggs all had double yolks. They finally checked the packaging and then decided to tell the story. I think the person was in the US? Idk. It's a big enough country that it wouldn't surprise me if double yolk eggs are not available in every state (or if it's only found in a handful or smth).
I started blogging (before "blog" was a word; I called it my "online pregnancy journal") in 2001. I wrote it to keep people updated who wanted to follow my first pregnancy. After my baby was born, I kept blogging. I wrote about the ups and many downs of having a newborn. My mom was horrified and asked, "What do you think they will think about this if they read it later?" To be clear, I love both of my kids and wouldn't trade them for the world. But I was extremely honest about my post-partum depression and the state of my marriage after I had my first. Anyway... that child is 23 now and has never had any interest at all in reading anything I've ever written. :) My 10-year-old does take a look at my blog every now and again; he'll ask me questions about stuff I don't remember writing, so that's fun.

The twins measuring the same is such good news! I’m familiar with a few sets of twins where that wasn’t the case and they still made it fine into the world. I also know someone who had the same as you, they lost the triplet, but the identical twins stayed on. They absolutely thrived. They were terrors who tried to swap classes when they were bored to see if anyone noticed - except they never remembered to answer to one another’s name, so they got caught all the time!
I’m a triplet and I’m 18 years old now. I know you two and Rupert will be fantastic on your new adventure as a family of five! And it’s so sweet how you’re holding space for the third.💛
I understand that’s a popular joke right now, but I don’t think it’s an appropriate joke to make after someone is speaking about a miscarriage, which is famously painful to deal with. Not telling you off, just letting you know it could be considered quite rude
As a twin all I can ask is to please treat them like they are individuals. I grew up always being called "the twins" and having people consistently believe we liked and wanted to do the same things. If one of us liked something the other must aswell kind of thing. I grew up resentful towards my sister (there was other reasons, but this contributed to it). As a kid I would either lash out or always wanted to be alone. I would lock myself in my room for days or weeks only leaving for food or the restroom. By the second grade when our school asked if my sister and I wanted to be in the same class or different, I basically demanded to be in different classrooms. There is more and im not going into all the details, but whenever people have twins I always ask to treat them like they are individuals versus like they are the same or always attached to the other.
All of the identical twins I've met have been definitely different people, even (or maybe especially) when they were emotionally close. The urge to define oneself as unique only seems to be increased when the world wants to blend you together it seems like.
Kids definitely have some energetic abilities that I am sure Science will be able to explain some day. I was always certain there was or will be 3 of us (me and one older sibling). I just knew I had another siblings somewhere out there in time and space. Found out in my teens, there was a loss before my older sib was born. While statistically that is plausible -I felt it within me -in my core. Fetal cells of fetus transfers to blood stream of pregnant parent and can transfer to subsequent children. So maybe that's why I felt it in my core? Idk. Don't have the money to have me checked out for fetal cells.

About this oracle thing. I experience something a little like this. Where my three year old always seems to know what's going on with her baby sister. Where I'll be struggling for hours ,trying everything. She'll simply come up and say 'she's tired' or 'hungry' and she always turns out right. Very helpful.

I was a NICU nurse for many years and several of my families had to celebrate and mourn at the same time. I know it’s difficult and enjoy seeing you celebrate.

I remember when you posted your pregnancy announcement with Rupert, it was on my birthday and I was visiting my grandparents, my grandpa with advanced dementia was having an episode so my grandma kinda ignored me in a rush, i wasn’t sad, I understood what was happening and why she was so busy. I watched your video and started crying from joy for you two, when my grandma was finally able to calm my grandpa down she came to me, saw me bawling and blubbering and thought that it was about my birthday lol. She felt really bad so I explained why I was actually crying then showed her the video, we were both thrilled for you two!!!
My therapist has twin daughters and despite all the typical twin pregnancy complications (and her being on the “older” side with pregnancy bc she got pregnant in her 40’s), she has 2 very healthy and happy 6 year olds. Congratulations! Wishing you all the best

Yay twins! I can see the matching outfits already! But I raise you: buying the same thing in two different colours - that way they can match and still have something that’s just theirs. Also makes it easier to tell them apart. Although knowing your parenting, they’ll be picking out their own outfits in no time. I’m so excited for you guys! And I’m so sorry for your loss. I'm a twin and my parents did that, it definitely helps to know who's who in baby photos lol. Another thing they did was paint our nails so they could tell us apart easily!
My earliest memory is the birth of my little brother. Literally, I dont have any memories before being in the hospital and seeing him for the first time, its so precious to me that my earliest memory is the most important day of my life! I’m so happy Rupert will get to have that memory as an older sibling.
I'm the youngest child but my siblings are a fair bit older than me so I became an aunt at not even 10 years old. Holding my nephew for the first time is one of my favorite memories even now at 32. My nephew then was really excited to hold his younger sister and once my older brother also decided to have kids was very excited to hold his two younger cousins too.
Yay twins! Yay for having their own sacs! Yay for identical twins! Yay for 12 weeks and measuring well! Yay for no morning sickness! I hope Rupert gets his sisters.

Yay twins! Honestly, it is really special that they'll get to look back on these videos of how badly they were wanted and how much their moms went through to get ready for them. They might not care as much when they're younger, but I think they'll appreciate it when they're grown. I lost my mom recently, and so I treasure every little memory I can find of her now, especially since she was so camera shy her whole life.

Back in the 50s my grandmother--who was 34 and in poor health from EDS and rheumatic fever--successfully carried and gave birth to a pair of fraternal twins, both of whom are now in their late 60s. We all can't wait to see the twins! Congrats and happy new year to all five of you :)
As a nearly 30 year old who has gotten into family videos, yes they will. There is something amazing about seeing your parents being excited about you. And seeing how young your parents are when you are an adult and sometimes older than them when they are having you is a little crazy. I bet they'll love these videos. Congrats on the pregnancy! I gasped so hard when I saw the thumbnail that my jaw actually popped. Congratulations! This is so exciting!! Rupert will be such a good brother to his new siblings!!
As far as strollers go: I had 2 within 2 years. Side by side strollers are better for walking outside, but they are kinda wide for doors. But the front/ back ones are really long and in order to see traffic to cross streets it can stick out way more than I was comfortable with. I liked the wagon. You can put a car seat in if needed, and Rupert could fit too, way more versatile. There are also strollers now that are more top/ bottom than front/ back, those might be better too.

Placenta stuff is always scary. My son had a complete placental abruption at 32 weeks. He turns 22 on Jan 27th. He was in NICU for a month and it was touch and go for weeks... but babies are stronger than we give them credit for He’s 6 feet fall now and graduating this year with his bachelors degree in Visual Arts. Your two little sprouts are going to grow into beautiful flowers. I know you don’t know me but I’m always here if you have any placenta fears. I was also on bed rest from 17-32 weeks. Which helped me get REALLY into Animal Crossing. ☺️ ♥️
The moment you started with the "Oh, 1 egg with 2 yolks!" I was like "Identical twins... they'll have identical twins... This is the universe giving them the heads up... it's a sign... So, YAY! TWINS! CONGRATULATIONS ON THE TWINS!!!! Everything will go well from now on! We all are giving our best wishes and energy for you all and everything will be fine!

Twins are so exciting and anxiety inducing. I had a mantra that I spoke to them every day, 36 weeks, 5lbs, and no NICU. It helped me immensely to stay positive. They were born perfectly healthy at 38 weeks. You're twice blessed 🎉 congratulations 🎉

Oh my goodness, this same thing happened to my parents! They wanted four kids, already had two and when my mom got pregnant the third time she was like "Yep! This is my last pregnancy, I don't want to do this again." And it turned out to be twins. The universe works in strange and wonderful ways. So happy for all of you in your little family

I would love to be able to look back at how my parents were before i was born/before i can remember. I’m almost 40 now, my father has passed and my mom isn’t in great shape. I really love coming across old photos or the rare VHS recording, it would be so awesome if i had a wealth of videos like you have here on this channel (plus all the cuts we’ll never see!). I get why Claudia might think it’s weird, and maybe your kids will agree, but i think it’s such a treasure to have bits of your life documented. This may be morbid, but i think these videos will be such a wonderful thing to pass on after you 2 have passed on. A beautiful testament of how hard you worked for this. On my 12 week scan I found out I was carrying twins. I laughed so hard the nurse had to pause the scan. It was a long road of doctors visits but, they are now 13 and the best people Ive ever met. Congratulations! Your family will just be louder and more exciting. Don’t hesitate to ask for help in the first few years, you’ll need it. Remember to prioritize yourself and each other so you have the space for all the joy available.

I have twin sons (they were mono/mono) and not only were they born with no complications at 33 weeks, they grew well, met all milestones on time or early, and are now doing incredibly well both in school and sports and music. Thank you for sharing your experience with losing multiples. I just gave birth to my baby boy on 12/31/24 and it was initially a twin pregnancy. My sister and I are IVF twins that was a potential triplet pregnancy. She's my best friend still at 22 and I am so thrilled for you both having watched you since I was much younger. Advice from my mum on buggies - she used to lament (and still does) how difficult it was getting through doors and such with a side by side buggy so that might be something to consider when you get round to deciding. She did however love people cooing over us in the shared buggy so maybe it balances out!

My twin and I are 47, and were born at 26½ weeks. The life expectancy, at the time ('77), was between 19% and 50%, but we both made it. With the advances in obstetrics, since then, I have no doubt things will work out wonderfully! 🫶🏼

I've never forgotten when a grad school classmate announced his wife were expecting quints. The internet was still a newly burgeoning thing, as was the increase in multiples, so I took some time to search up resources for them. Then they learned they had lost 1 and would be having quadruplets. More resources, including on dealing with that very specific grief. By now, their little ones are old enough to be in grad school themselves. But if _I_ still remember, it's a certainty their parents do.

My twin sister and I were a triplet pregnancy too, almost 40 years ago. She and I are the best of friends 💙 We still think about our triplet sibling sometimes, and are glad that “being triplets” is part of our family’s story.
My mum still sheds a tear about the loss of the 3rd baby when we talk about it. There’s room for that sadness! It’s part of love. But my sister and I grew up as “the twins” and it was the very very best.
We’re both super gay too. We bought an old house together and we live there together with my wife, and my sisters daughter, and in June- a little wee baby too!

As a mother of twins, now grown, I suggest a stroller that puts the baby one behind the other to get through doors.
27 weeks is the date you start to breath easy. Their hearts and lings are developed enough to work on their own. Every day after that is a blessing.

Yes 100 percent I had a double stroller for my nephew and daughter who are 4 months apart the side by side ones are so hard to push and you can’t fit in doors I loved the one where one sat behind the other it was so much easier!!

My mom had to switch to a back, front one not because of doorways but because I kept poking and bothering my sister. We're not twins, just almost Irish Twins so I was older but not old enough that I stopped when fussed at.
I think Rupert's dream about the happy baby the night before your scan was they baby who went to the other side, just visiting him and letting him know its happy. And its ok.

Yay twins! As a former childcare provider, keep in mind that side by side buggies are HEAVY!! The ones in one line, the weight is more even. I know that will be something to think about with Jessie’s EDS.

I have double stroller with one in front and one in back. I love it. The seats lay down for the kids too. It’s light enough for me to lift regularly too. I have tendinitis so I need the stroller to handle my 2 kiddos.
Also, much like with wheelchairs, a lot of places aren’t accessible for the wider side by side buggies!
I had babies 22 months apart and I noticed that the side by side strollers didn't fit through a normal doorway so I went with the long one so it could go anywhere a normal stroller could fit! Definitely something to consider, it's no fun having to set the stroller up outside your home to bring the babies for a walk!
Totally agree! As a childcare provider I swear by in line buggies, tandem are just too heavy and unwieldy
This is v intriguing to me, I actually have the opposite experience! I'm a childcare provider who has looked after two separate sets of twins, one with a side-by-side buggy and one with an in-line one - I actually found the in-line to be more difficult to manoeuvre because the weight was more concentrated on a smaller surface area, to the point where it caused wrist pain due to having to exert such pressure when turning corners! I will concede that the side-by-side is definitely trickier when it comes to navigating doors though 😬
I know Jessica wanted to have her kids close one after the other so they could be friends, but it's also beautiful and special when your older kid is old enough to realize a sibling is coming and then they get to hold them for the first time. Rupert seems to share your excitment, and that reminded me of my cousin when she got a little sister :')

I have two siblings. One is pretty close in age to me, 16 months younger, and the other is 6.5 years younger. I grew up having such a a closer relationship to my youngest sibling than the one closer in age to me. We're close now, but as kids our relationship was incredibly antagonistic and not compatible. I asked her a few years ago, "As a kid, our parents always said you looked up to me, but I genuinely always felt like you wanted to do the opposite of whatever I liked." And she immediately responded, "No, I definitely deliberately did the opposite of you." I hated green, so she loved it. I loved pink, so she hated it. I liked Barbies, so she only wanted to play with Polly Pockets. My dad has four siblings, but the only one he's close to know in his 60s is a decade older to him. Point is, you never know how siblings will or won't bond because they are their own people, but I strongly recommend not denying reality if they aren't competitive or argumentative together 😅
As a big sister myself CAN CONFIRM. I distinctly remember the day my baby sister was born.
My brother is seven years older than me and we've always been close. A big age gap between siblings only matters if you let it.
I am the oldest sibling with pretty much exactly the same age gap between me & my brother as Rupert will have between him & the twins. My brother was definitely closer with the even younger brother who was less than 2 years younger than him, but we were all pretty close as kids, and I remember really enjoying the pregnancy anticipation and new baby joy.

I'm a non-identical triplet, and my mum was told throughout her entire pregnancy that it was high risk, so much so that the doctors actually recommended to my parents that they reduce it down to a twin pregnancy. My parents didn't do that, despite the risks, but my mum got pre-eclampsia and had a c-section at 33 weeks. Now me & my two sisters are 23 years old!

While I am not a triple, I am a twin whose twin didn't survive. It's amazing and lovely when a family holds space for the loss of a multiple. I'm almost 30 and still hold a place in my heart for my twin I never got to grow up with. The twins and Rupert will always have a special place for the lost sibling.

Ditto! My twin was stillborn and at a time where there was nothing done - no photos, no memorial, just a coffin and then no one knows. I named her Aimee. She might not be here with me but she is in spirit.
Congratulations! My now 35 year old twins also shared a placenta, but had separate sacs. In fact, one of them was getting access to the placenta before the other, so I had to bombard them with nutrients to ensure there was enough for everyone. They were born a month early, and spent 3 weeks in a NICU - and they're brilliant, healthy, caring humans

It would be amazing to have videos from my parents when they were young! But I probably world have thought it was completely boring as a kid.
I started blogging (before "blog" was a word; I called it my "online pregnancy journal") in 2001. I wrote it to keep people updated who wanted to follow my first pregnancy. After my baby was born, I kept blogging. I wrote about the ups and many downs of having a newborn. My mom was horrified and asked, "What do you think they will think about this if they read it later?" To be clear, I love both of my kids and wouldn't trade them for the world. But I was extremely honest about my post-partum depression and the state of my marriage after I had my first. Anyway... that child is 23 now and has never had any interest at all in reading anything I've ever written. :) My 10-year-old does take a look at my blog every now and again; he'll ask me questions about stuff I don't remember writing, so that's fun.

The twins measuring the same is such good news! I’m familiar with a few sets of twins where that wasn’t the case and they still made it fine into the world. I also know someone who had the same as you, they lost the triplet, but the identical twins stayed on. They absolutely thrived. They were terrors who tried to swap classes when they were bored to see if anyone noticed - except they never remembered to answer to one another’s name, so they got caught all the time!

As a twin all I can ask is to please treat them like they are individuals.
I grew up always being called "the twins" and having people consistently believe we liked and wanted to do the same things.
If one of us liked something the other must aswell kind of thing.
I grew up resentful towards my sister (there was other reasons, but this contributed to it). As a kid I would either lash out or always wanted to be alone. I would lock myself in my room for days or weeks only leaving for food or the restroom.
By the second grade when our school asked if my sister and I wanted to be in the same class or different, I basically demanded to be in different classrooms.
There is more and im not going into all the details, but whenever people have twins I always ask to treat them like they are individuals versus like they are the same or always attached to the other.
All of the identical twins I've met have been definitely different people, even (or maybe especially) when they were emotionally close. The urge to define oneself as unique only seems to be increased when the world wants to blend you together it seems like.

Kids definitely have some energetic abilities that I am sure Science will be able to explain some day. I was always certain there was or will be 3 of us (me and one older sibling). I just knew I had another siblings somewhere out there in time and space.
Found out in my teens, there was a loss before my older sib was born.
While statistically that is plausible -I felt it within me -in my core.
Fetal cells of fetus transfers to blood stream of pregnant parent and can transfer to subsequent children.
So maybe that's why I felt it in my core?
Idk. Don't have the money to have me checked out for fetal cells.

About this oracle thing. I experience something a little like this. Where my three year old always seems to know what's going on with her baby sister. Where I'll be struggling for hours ,trying everything. She'll simply come up and say 'she's tired' or 'hungry' and she always turns out right. Very helpful.

I remember when you posted your pregnancy announcement with Rupert, it was on my birthday and I was visiting my grandparents, my grandpa with advanced dementia was having an episode so my grandma kinda ignored me in a rush, i wasn’t sad, I understood what was happening and why she was so busy. I watched your video and started crying from joy for you two, when my grandma was finally able to calm my grandpa down she came to me, saw me bawling and blubbering and thought that it was about my birthday lol.
She felt really bad so I explained why I was actually crying then showed her the video, we were both thrilled for you two!!!

Yay twins! I can see the matching outfits already! But I raise you: buying the same thing in two different colours - that way they can match and still have something that’s just theirs. Also makes it easier to tell them apart. Although knowing your parenting, they’ll be picking out their own outfits in no time. I’m so excited for you guys!

I'm a twin and my parents did that, it definitely helps to know who's who in baby photos lol. Another thing they did was paint our nails so they could tell us apart easily!

My earliest memory is the birth of my little brother. Literally, I dont have any memories before being in the hospital and seeing him for the first time, its so precious to me that my earliest memory is the most important day of my life! I’m so happy Rupert will get to have that memory as an older sibling.
I'm the youngest child but my siblings are a fair bit older than me so I became an aunt at not even 10 years old.
Holding my nephew for the first time is one of my favorite memories even now at 32. My nephew then was really excited to hold his younger sister and once my older brother also decided to have kids was very excited to hold his two younger cousins too.

Yay twins! Honestly, it is really special that they'll get to look back on these videos of how badly they were wanted and how much their moms went through to get ready for them. They might not care as much when they're younger, but I think they'll appreciate it when they're grown. I lost my mom recently, and so I treasure every little memory I can find of her now, especially since she was so camera shy her whole life.

Back in the 50s my grandmother--who was 34 and in poor health from EDS and rheumatic fever--successfully carried and gave birth to a pair of fraternal twins, both of whom are now in their late 60s. We all can't wait to see the twins! Congrats and happy new year to all five of you :)
As a nearly 30 year old who has gotten into family videos, yes they will. There is something amazing about seeing your parents being excited about you. And seeing how young your parents are when you are an adult and sometimes older than them when they are having you is a little crazy.

I'm so so so happy for you and your growing family 💜 Fertility journeys are always incredibly personal and can be long and difficult, full of grief and wishes that almost come true. It is all consuming and can be terribly lonely. I want to thank you both for being so open (on your terms and when the time was right, of course). If more people talk about it maybe we make the experience less lonely and create supportive communities during these difficult times. The way you speak about the loss of your third baby and then show the excitement of the twins is so real. Grief is everywhere, all the time. Don't feel the need to rush through any emotion. I'm so glad you are excited!!! I'm sure I can speak for your community when I say we are too! We're right here for the ups and the downs. Take good care of yourselves and I hope you can find some peace and enjoyment during this pregnancy. And for Claudia specifically: I hope you are feeling well. I gasped so hard when I saw the thumbnail that my jaw actually popped. Congratulations! This is so exciting!! Rupert will be such a good brother to his new siblings!!
As far as strollers go: I had 2 within 2 years. Side by side strollers are better for walking outside, but they are kinda wide for doors. But the front/ back ones are really long and in order to see traffic to cross streets it can stick out way more than I was comfortable with. I liked the wagon. You can put a car seat in if needed, and Rupert could fit too, way more versatile. There are also strollers now that are more top/ bottom than front/ back, those might be better too.

Ps- tandem strollers or one baby behind the other is going to be your friend , side by side strollers are problematic in terms of getting through door and whatnot !
Placenta stuff is always scary.
My son had a complete placental abruption at 32 weeks.
He turns 22 on Jan 27th.
He was in NICU for a month and it was touch and go for weeks... but babies are stronger than we give them credit for
He’s 6 feet fall now and graduating this year with his bachelors degree in Visual Arts.
Your two little sprouts are going to grow into beautiful flowers.
I know you don’t know me but I’m always here if you have any placenta fears.
I was also on bed rest from 17-32 weeks. Which helped me get REALLY into Animal Crossing. ☺️

Twins are so exciting and anxiety inducing. I had a mantra that I spoke to them every day, 36 weeks, 5lbs, and no NICU. It helped me immensely to stay positive. They were born perfectly healthy at 38 weeks. You're twice blessed 🎉 congratulations 🎉

Oh my goodness, this same thing happened to my parents! They wanted four kids, already had two and when my mom got pregnant the third time she was like "Yep! This is my last pregnancy, I don't want to do this again." And it turned out to be twins. The universe works in strange and wonderful ways. So happy for all of you in your little family

I would love to be able to look back at how my parents were before i was born/before i can remember. I’m almost 40 now, my father has passed and my mom isn’t in great shape. I really love coming across old photos or the rare VHS recording, it would be so awesome if i had a wealth of videos like you have here on this channel (plus all the cuts we’ll never see!).
I get why Claudia might think it’s weird, and maybe your kids will agree, but i think it’s such a treasure to have bits of your life documented. This may be morbid, but i think these videos will be such a wonderful thing to pass on after you 2 have passed on. A beautiful testament of how hard you worked for this.

On my 12 week scan I found out I was carrying twins. I laughed so hard the nurse had to pause the scan. It was a long road of doctors visits but, they are now 13 and the best people Ive ever met. Congratulations! Your family will just be louder and more exciting. Don’t hesitate to ask for help in the first few years, you’ll need it. Remember to prioritize yourself and each other so you have the space for all the joy available.

I have twin sons (they were mono/mono) and not only were they born with no complications at 33 weeks, they grew well, met all milestones on time or early, and are now doing incredibly well both in school and sports and music. They're the loves of my life, I cherish every day with them, and I wish exactly the same joy to you!!

Thank you for sharing your experience with losing multiples. I just gave birth to my baby boy on 12/31/24 and it was initially a twin pregnancy. The battling grief and excitement of being pregnant but still losing a baby is complex and sometimes overlooked. Sending wishes for happy babies! Yay twins!

My sister and I are IVF twins that was a potential triplet pregnancy. She's my best friend still at 22 and I am so thrilled for you both having watched you since I was much younger.
Advice from my mum on buggies - she used to lament (and still does) how difficult it was getting through doors and such with a side by side buggy so that might be something to consider when you get round to deciding. She did however love people cooing over us in the shared buggy so maybe it balances out!
