Amazing discourse Dr Chitra. Much needed and I would say urgently needed. Less than 100 likes & a very few comments prove very few are interested or don't care. I am not from a medical background but have heard or seen people dying in pain without their consent. I would love to connect with you Dr Chitra on this to take it ahead in terms of spread & knowledge , allowing people not only to die with dignity, alleviate their pain, but also for all diseases that are not life threatening but which come with a lot of pain to body as well as to the mind. Once again, kudos to you to have touched upon this topic which seems so far , taboo in India.

More power to those involved in the commendable efforts to put the human before the disease, when it's needed the most.

An excellent, and compelling, presentation Dr. Chitra. I hope that the matter of children's quality of living with chronic illnesses and their comfort, quality of life, and lovingkindness at the time of their dying - free of pain and enriched by the presence of an accepting family, receives attention in India as well.

Very coherently put across. Indeed palliative care is an aspect of healing that needs to be integrated into the health care system.

PG and UG courses to be introduced in the system is essesntial. Supply of morphine from the primary level should be initiated by central and state governments.
