Don't forget the OU broadcast: th-cam.com/video/AIq71qRPvwE/w-d-xo.html
THANK YOU!! BOOMER SOONER!!
Waaaaaay better. 😉
The pass didn't go out of the back of the endzone, it went out of the side of the endzone. Very catchable if the WR hadn't been driven out of bounds. Blind homer judgment on TX play-by-play.
Well said. Ball was in proper trajectory had the route not been altered.
As an OU fan living in Austin, I can verify that most the sports media here are absolute buffoons when it comes to anything Longhorn-related. Craig Way is no exception.
Yeah. I’m going to OU for law school and came home for OU TX weekend to Austin. Showed up decked out for the Sooners and actually had to leave the party early after Texas scored its FG because things were getting rowdy (it was an engagement party, but the bride is from UT so obviously showing up supporting the Sooners at her party was crazy lol). Ended up watching the game end at home and glad I did because apparently people were screaming over the PI call. 🤣
I did show up to the bridal ceremony later and gave a quick boomer sooner.
The ball was uncatchable because Nick got mugged early and often on the play. The DB new he was badly beaten.
Craig Way is the best broadcaster in P5 history, arguably. Stop. Hall of Famer.@@JakeKoenig
I'd love to hear their commentary for that goal line stand. That has to be gold too.
🗣Worthy didn't make it...We ain't back
That's what I was searching for when I found this vid. Exactly that
totally a catchable pass anderson couldnt even get to it cause he was pushed out of bounds lmao. Its a good call
You do realize you can force a WR OOB right?
@@austin57254no, no u can’t lol. You can “force” him ob with body position and that’s not what happened.
@@austin57254 You do realize you can grab and push a WR OOB, right?
@@austin57254 No you cant lol. Not like that you cant. The ball was catchable if hes not ridden out of bounds.
@@austin57254lmao!! Wtf??? Dumb
Yeah he can't catch it cause he is being held so clearly even Bevo can see it. If it was so uncatchable why hold him?
Nick burned him down the sidelines that's for sure.
yeah uncatchable because the receivers being shoved 5 yards out of bounds
It WOULD have been catchable IF the defender wouldn’t have interfered 😂😂
lol
Don't watch much football do ya? 🤡
@@rustyshackleford5516he pushed him out of bounds before the ball was even there 😂😂 stay salty clown
You're absolutely right.
@@rustyshackleford5516my guess is you don’t either
I don’t know what he’s talking about that ball didn’t sail out of bounds, the DB pushed him out of a potential play
That's why I like the OU announcers. 99 times out of 100, If OU commits a penalty, they don't have a problem admitting it.
Not like this guy.
Seems like the Texas radio homers are just like the Texas players and fans, full of excuses on why they lost. That was a catchable pass.
Exactly. Word for word the amount of times I’ve heard OU play by play say “you just can’t do that in that situation” or “yeah that was a bad one” talking about a penalty OU committed but a texas play by play could never lol
Shorthorn fans, NFL Cowboy fans, same mentality!😜
Apparently you didn't listen to the OU radio broadcasts all season where they complained the Big 12 was rigging games against them.
@@zgaviation6481 apparently you didn't watch the games they were complaining about because their complaints were legit.
Dillon had enough time to see the struggle on the sideline and just throw it in the direction. Smart play
Exactly
Yupper! Boomer Sooner!
Yep. He gave the official no choice but to make a call.
Same shit Patrick Mahomes did in the Super Bowl. He saw the holding and threw it to Schuster. W QB awareness
The “uncatchable” pass was thrown perfectly over the front pylon lol.
Love hearing Craig Way cry like a baby! LOL....uncatchable because the WR didn't have a chance to go up and contest for the ball! Hilarious...
I mean that ball would have been catchable had he not been shoved out of bounds lol
Right he is 6'-4"... #BoomerSooner
Craig Way is terrible as a sport announcer!
The difference between defensive holding and PI in this scenario is less that 4 yards. Definitely not a game changer
@@lenniecollins7640He’s the best!
This makes me appreciate Toby Rowland so much more lol
Once you could see the field camera view of the PI, and knowing Anderson's height and ability to high-point the ball, it was a very catchable pass without him being held plus ridden out-of-bounds. Certainly not "way out" to be obviously uncatchable.
Lmao. Ok
That was a perfect PI call. The reason it was not catchable is because Nic Anderson (who is 6-4) was being assaulted for 2-3 seconds solid and couldn’t get downfield to the ball.
Also “uncatchable” is not a thing in NCAA its only in the NFL
In the last 15 games OU has beat the cow team 11 times.
Boomer.
Amazing
SOONER!!!
Whoops, sooners forgot about their tough finish barely beating UCF, losing to Kansas and Oklahoma State. More to come? Sooners will do great in the SEC when they regularly are forced to play teams like Georgia, Bama and LSU 🤣
Moo cows 😅
@@Atpost334 guess that loss to OU stung huh....get used to it
Doesnt matter if the ball was uncatchable or not you will get flagged if you ride on the receiver out of bounds every single times. Gabriel saw that and took it like any good QB would.
Uncatchable is rarely called anymore. I think the wisdom is that if the defender hadn't been interfering with the receiver then the QB wouldn't have thrown it away the way he did.
That’s because that call doesn’t exist in CFB, it’s an NFL rule.
Not to mention that was an athletic 6'4" receiver, he could probably catch a ball 11 feet in the air.
😏
Texas defender pushing the receiver out of bounds. It was illegal contact down field. Once QB threw ball toward them, defender still pushing him on him. They'll call it pass interference, which they did.
If you have the audio from the goal line stand I’d love to hear it too!
Man…born and raised here in the Austin area, I hear these guys all the time. So funny to hear them cry. Boomer.
SOONER!!!
It makes the win so much better hearing Texas announcers say it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The ball on the “uncatchable” pass did NOT sail into the cheerleaders. It landed just in the field of play in the endzone. Don’t know what Craig Way was watching. You could even see it on the replay along the sideline.
Holy hell, I know announcers are biased but you move past the whining at some point man.
Guys. On The pass interference call, the ball was uncatchable, but the interference from the defender created an uncatchable ball. He ran nic into the sideline. Very clearly a penalty.
What a great game! Much respect to the Texas Longhorns. I love this rivalry. Win or lose.
We waited a year to avenge our thrashing from last year’s 49-0 ahutout. OUr revenge was a great feeling. Just as great as the subsequent Texas wins after OU dominated in what is now referred to as the Red River Massacre in 2000 when OU won 63-14. That was, by the way, also a 49 point defeat. So we have both endured a serious butt whipping!
Hats off to both the Sooners and the Longhorns for giving fans another great rivalry game!
- Lifelong OU fan & Alum
I mean, it was a penalty but Texas let them go 75 yards in like 5 seconds lol
I've lived in Texas since 1998. No matter how you feel about the Longhorns, Craig Way is an institution. His knowledge and passion for Texas high school football is second-to-none. That said, he totally missed it on the PI call. And the difference between defensive holding and PI is 5 yards. It would not have changed the outcome. The Texas D was totally lost.
Such whining lol… if the ball was uncatchable it’s because the Texas defender basically forced the receiver out of bounds … but it doesent matter cause OU won
These poor announcers each need a bottle of copium with a side of seethe after that one 😂 GG to Texas tho, you guys had me sweating until the zeroes hit the clock. See you guys in the Big 12 Championship
I need some copium with a side of seethe…. Lmao 😂
Texas, much respect to you. Ever since I was a little girl, I would get butterflies everytime we had to play you all. That was way back in the 60's. My dad, who played for OU before WWII, raised me on Sooner Football, and we took this game so seriously. Mostly because you have always had great football. I wish I could have seen a better replay of the interference call. I know that Herbstreit said it was an excellent call. Our radio guy called it before the flag was thrown. In that vein, the personal foul that we got after a tackle was said to have been bogus. There wasn't good replay of it either, but our radio guy said the ref ran into an OU player and thought he was trying to fight. Who knows? My dad always use to say a game isn't won or lost on a call. Who is to say the opponent or your own guy would be stopped or helped either way. I really think we will see you down the road in the Big 12 Championship game. I hope y'all stay healthy and continue to play great football!
The db was obstructing the wr’s path to the ball for a good ten yards and in the process pushed him so far from the path of the ball that it looked uncatchable, but it certainly was a catchable ball for a wr of his stature/ability and a good number of other wr’s at this level would make that catch too.
I love that no Texas player even jumps for the Hail Mary and Whittington trying to run 25 yards out of bounds with 10 seconds left and 2 timeouts to burn… Good coaching.
Ok…as a long time Sooner fan, I must say, the Texas broadcast team are very good. They’re very diplomatic, respectful and gracious in their compliments of Dillon Gabriel and OU. Much respect to them. It was truly a great for the ages. #Boomer
They need some cheese to go with that whining 😂
He never mentions that the DB was driving the WR out of bounds 😂😂😂
"That's an uncatchable pass!" Yeah they tend to be hard to catch when the receiver is pushed out of bounds. Nic Anderson would have had a chance at that ball if he wasn't shoved out of bounds. He is 6'4" and can jump through the ceiling. The ball wasn't thrown out of bounds like you describe.
Hilarious!!!! Un catchabke? It landed in the field of play. Oklahoma played with Pride! Texas played under pressure! FACTS! Own it!!!!!!!!!! We did last year! Own it son!!!!!!
I’ve been waiting on this thank you
Smoking crack to think that’s uncatchable.
Very catchable ball. I'm not even an OU fans. Sometimes I'm not sure if the commentators are watching the same game. Nik Anderson is 6'4", and he can easily snag in balls that are thrown 10 feet above the ground
Nic Anderson made a double move the db knew he lost and had no choice but to grab him while the ball was in the air. If he didn't grab him that would have been a td. That's a easy PI call
Thanks for doing this. Love hearing both sides of major moments.
That ball was only uncatchable because of the pass interference. The db hindered the OU player's ability to run his route, clearly pass interference.
Man can that guy cry any more about a "uncatchable ball?" 😂 Could care less who won the game but glad that guys teams loss
He might have got holding instead of PI if he turned his head around to look for the ball. In that play, the dude didn't even know where the ball was so PI was a good call.
Stop whining, Texas. 4 yard difference between DPI and DH. It's not like OU had to sneak in from the 1 yard line.
(Drives 80 yards) announcer: it was the pass interference call that helped OU get the touchdown 🤣
😂 thanks for this
Lol.. that PI call didn’t matter. Texas’s defense on the last drive got absolutely shredded. They weren’t going to stop Oklahoma
Whining like a little baby is it bottle time?
They're all uncatchable when you're grabbed and shoved out of bounds lol. They are going to call PI 100% of the time there. Maybe the Texas defender should have just let him get to the end zone for the TD pass. Texas would have had a few more seconds at the end. And W. Virginia, take notes on how to defend a Hail Mary pass.
Tuff tiity said the kitty when the milk went dry 😊
Okay, it was defensive holding by their own admission, so claiming that won them the game is a logical fallacy.
Yep, it was an uncatchable pass alright. What do you expect when the defender was hanging on the receiver practically the whole way! Had it not been for that, it may have been a touchdown. Oh, and these announcers have a short memory. How about the extreme pass interference a little earlier that didn't get called when the Texas defender was pulling on the Oklahoma receiver's arm, well before the ball got there, causing him to not make the catch. It was blatant! My how they have a short memory!
He said threw it into the cheerleaders 😂 the dude KNEELING in FRONT of the cheerleaders caught the ball lolol
😂Dude had an absolute meltdown
Homer on the broadcast. Only one who saw it his way. No surprise there! OU with an amazing drive to seal what they had led most of the day.
Ya can't mug the guy right in front of the ref, regardless of where the ball may end up. Nice crying, though!
Congrats to a far superior Oklahoma team !!!
With a Group-of-Five QB, nonetheless.
It was uncatchable bc the defender push the receiver out of bounds…
Ahhhhh music to my ears😌
No shit it was uncatchable, he was held and pushed oob.
I GOTTTA HEAR THE GOAL LINE STAND 😂😂😂
Love hearing him cry about the DPI call. Salty homer be salty about a great game and great drive. I get being a homer a bit, but Anderson would've had a shot to get a hand on the ball at a minimum if he wasn't shoved out of bounds.
Uncatchable my a$$... Had Texas not been interfering or holding it would have been caught. ... What a great game by both teams.
Uncatchable ball is just a way for referees to favor a game. Its literally a judgement call for individuals.
He used the sideline well as the extra defender, then forgot to let up and "stick a hand in his pocket" and find the ball. Nick Anderson has some wheels though he probably panicked. BOOMER
SOONER!!!
Texas player new he was beat from the very start..end result texas still the most underachieving program in division 1 football
What a whiny annoucing team. Toby Rowland and Teddy Lehman are 1000% better
I didnt know the texas announcer sounded like the dinasour from toy story. Lol
don’t know what 33 was looking for. and 8 was suppose to let he’s teammates know about the switch.
The rule states that if you force them out of bound as PI and that is where they placed the ball. Also the rule is the spot of the foul or 15 yards if outside the end zone.
According to the rule book Defensive Pass Interference: Restricts Movement: Restricts the receiver's movement without making an attempt to catch, intercept, or bat the ball, regardless of whether the ball is catchable. He needs to say he's sorry.
BTW #93 of Texas jumped on the goal line stand and the officials missed the motion penalty.
“Aided by an absolutely awful call”. Bro that accounted for 15 yards of a 75 yard touchdown drive in 1 minute with zero timeouts. Texas just got beat plain and simple.
The ball was only uncatchable b/c the TX defender pushed the OU player 2 yards out of bounds. It's announcers like this that spread false information that their fans use to be annoying reality deniers for a lifetime.
That pass was 100% catchable it wasn't more than 8 feet off the ground when it crossed the sideline and the reciever could have easily got to it if he wasn't getting molested down the sideline. Typical Texas... I love hearing the disappointment from tge shorthorns though. It's a beautiful sound.
The week after this game...both teams had a hangover....Texas winning a CLOSE ONE against Houston and Oklahoma winning a VERY close one against Central Florida.
The guy screaming it was in the crowd and cheer leaders. Lying literally on radio lol
Oh and one more thing. Defensive hold is an infraction prior to advancement. Interference is after ball passes line of scrimmage.
I think the Texas kicker has his own show in Vegas.
It just looked like Oklahoma was a little better all day. And now I think Oklahoma has reached a familiar level, of look out here we come all the way.
@6:58 the WR was trying to cut back in but was being pushed out. Besides this call wouldn’t matter that last play would have been a TD from any spot on the field.
I was born in okla 1955 this deer hunting family and most God.go OU
He forced the receiver out of bounds you can't do that
U can’t force a wideout out of bounds
Craig Way, the LEGEND!
Can’t be defensive hold if the ball is on the way to the receiver. It changes from holding to pass interference once the ball is on the way
"Uncatchable pass" LMAO! Perfectly thrown ball outside shoulder if he didnt get manhandled out of bounds. Even UT radio guys are soft in the head.
Those Bevo Burgers were GOOOOOD! 🐂😂🎉😂
the glazing is crazy
The dread in their voice is just so very delightfully delicious yum yum yum yum yum yum.
Texas long gone
WAY NO-WAY. If you have had time to review your initial call on the no PI call and still have the same viewpoint you need to excuse yourself from your play-by-play gig.
Announcer got that preacher shake in his voice
It was pass interference because the DB pushed the receiver out of bounds. Had nothing to do with the pass being catchable or not. Craig Way, please.....
LMAO the obvious Pass interference and then the commentator not knowing what hes talking about will never not be funny
i love Craig complains about the ref calling a PI then says "its actually holding." automatic first down either way dude. deal with it. your team goofed up.
Easy td if the tx/guy did pushbhim for 10 yards
Neutral observer here. The guys calling the game were pretty professional.
