Just had gastric sleeve surgery on 12/23 at University of Missouri Hospital. Set up for success. Getting a personal trainer lined up, so once I’m medically cleared to lift weights, I’m on it. Walking for now as I can tolerate it. I don’t know if you’ve done a video, but you should talk about how depression, buyer’s remorse, thinking one ruined their life post surgery can come on quickly. But sticking with the process and having a good support system is vital for success.
You got this!! Stick with it & Trust the Process. Your 1st year is your "honeymoon" phase (stay on track) - No regrets 💜 Long term you will be glad you did this. Focus on Your Goal & Be patient 👍
Thanks so much for answering our questions. My surgeon doesn't answer anything I have to come on here to get answers. My surgery was done 5 months ago. So much to learn I'm learning a lot here!
@@Vivvv16 thanks 🙏 last time I looked at the clock when rolled in operating room right before I fell asleep was 9:30 am I woke up when they were rolling me into my room which was around 3:30 I slept on & off till that night around 11pm when I did wake up from time to time I had heart burn feelings other then that I had no pain till next day when was heading home the car ride hurt when hitting bumps in the road other then that everything was fine…
@@1-Keep-it-Simple-Stupid do you still have heart burning feeling till this day? They said it could be a side effect of the operation that could lead to bypass surgery if it doesn’t go away 🥲
@ hey I was to but you know what I thought about & how I over came it? I just thought hey being way over weight is very bad on my health & will send me to the grave way before I’m ready put being over weight as I am has stop me from living life like I used to I can’t walk far with out getting winded & tired I can’t play golf like I used to if I needed to run for some reason like in danger I couldn’t just a whole lot of things I can’t do a few years ago my recliner broke while I had my feet up I couldn’t get out of it when I finally did I had to fall out the side on my knees which hurt but then I could not get up I was stuck on the floor for like 30 mins till I finally got up the strength to pull myself up onto my bed … but anyways I finally got my insurance to approve me after I did all the things required by them & on Nov 6th I got it done & now January 16th I’m down 84 pounds so just think about it not sure how old you are & how much you weight but if you have the means to get the gastric sleeve surgery I would get it done till then think about it & I’ll pray for you 🙏🙏🙏🫶💪🏻
