Although I am Thai but I can tell that Pia is one of the top miss universe favourite of mine. Along wth Catriona, even Thai and Pinoy fans are kinda rival when it comes to pageantr ,yet Thai fans will salute the queen who can make enormous impact to the world.

Pia is so genuine way back few years ago I saw her twice in Cubao area (shopwise doing grocery with her mom and 1 early morning she is doing exercise at grounds area of Gateway) she is so beautiful no makeup. sana pala nag hi ko sa knya but I was hurry that time going to office at eastwood.

I remember nung huling manalo sya sa Binibini, dami ring kapwa pinoy ang nam-bash kaagad sa kanya pero may isang African na nagtanggol sa kanya na ang sabi, "I'm Aftican and I like her, I feel she will be your 3rd Miss Universe that you've been waiting for". . .

Didn’t she lose once because the Judge who asked her the question was a Traditional Politician, who played Political by asking Pia to answer in Tagalog? Politicians who sit as judge in beauty pageants have their AGENDA, so they make the moment about themselves. So the Politician that time wanted to show the world, the universe rather, that he is NATIONALISTIC. He did so at the expense of a young woman’s dream. I have nothing against that politician. I’m just stating a fact, that his attempt to promote himself as nationalistic cost Pia Wutzbach a crown that year. Moral Lesson is to keep politicians off the panel of judges. Pia answered in Tagalog, but some of judges were foreigners who do not speak the language. It was MORONIC to have requested a candidate in Such a prestigious pageant to speak in Tagalog, when everyone else spoke in English.
