How can I simulate the buckle on a moving character? This tutorial is great but my character needs to be walking/moving? Will it work if I use this method or does the buckle have to be completely rigid??
at this time, with this method, you would have to import the buckle as a part of the avatar's animation, you cannot simulate non cloth like this. the other option is trims but trim doesnt have collision which doesnt work with this option. a widely used process is to use a replacement cloth piece to record the animation and replace that with your intended asset in a future process.
It is frustrating how .trm files cant simulate collision and must be brought in as avatars. Especially since the store gives you trm files and you must reverse them into obj. Is there a better way to bring in the .trm so it has collision?
all trim files do not have collision when simulated on a garment, you will notice the checkbox will not activate after gluing. next best option is importing as avatar with animation and pinning them to the cloth as a middling option. Please note that the STORE is CLO-SET CONNECT, and while you CAN purchase items from it to use in Marvelous Designer; its majority of uploads and users are CLO3D, which have different needs than Marvelous Designer users.
Hearing human voice to explain things will save us (me) lots of time to stop and go back to catch flying all over the screen mouse pointer. I am sure it is great tutorial but I am to slow to get it.
thank you so much for covering this!
THANK YOU
Great video, learn a lot thanks!
Great tutorial, I tought there would be a full simulation but that's not possible yet?
It is possible in the latest version(2024.2)

I apologize for my comment about voice. Somehow TH-cam screw my sound settings. No I have it and enjoy GREAT Tutorial. Thanks.
glad you figured it out, we currently use in house voices! the person who makes the tutorial is the one who is voicing it (usually)
@@Marvelousdesigner I am sorry again. I should check my system first. Great tutorial. THANKS
Great video!
Where I can get this buckle?
you can find many buckles on connect.clo-set.com/
obj를 trim이나 avatar로 들고온것일까요? 이 상태로 obj도 시뮬이 적용되어 움직일수있게 할수있나요?
imported obj as avatar, objs as avatars cannot be simulated
what is going on with the sound/voice? so quite and "muffled".
if only we could simulate a rigid buckle hanging off fabric
it is a feature we hope to apply
@@Marvelousdesigner when can we expect the next big update to marvelous designer?
