She was unique , brilliant, stellar, and transported you! One of THE GREAT talents of our lifetime! Her early vocals and performances were beyond extraordinay! Adore her singing this! Pure Magic! Talk about a vocl artist!
In the past writers have said that Barbara Streisand has the greatest voice in the history of recorded music. This was taped in 1966. “Funny Girl” the film would not come for two more years. This is a great example Barbra’s transition from star to superstar. She takes a popular song of the day and puts her imprint on it. Her live performances in the early CBS specials are nothing short of electrifying in my humble opinion. This woman wanted to be an actress. Singing was secondary to her ambitions. Look at what the world got. A different example of beauty. A voice that will never be surpassed in it’s range and power. A brilliant woman who had control over her career. I could go on. I urge everyone to explore her early work. A talent that will never come again. I hope that future generations will be able to listen to and watch a performance like this.

Yes. Eartha Kitts rendition which sounds like a native French speaker is singing. If you speak French, this hurts your ears. I don't deny Streisand did many great things. This wasn't one.

They don't write songs like this anymore.
And well Barbra? Perfection!
This performance is so ridiculously superior. What can one say!
"Ridiculously superior"...
You just gave THE BEST description!!!
Thank you!
No one in popular music has the vocal dynamics that she possesses. No one in popular music can sing a pianissimo note like she can either.
That's right! Modern singers like Taylor Swift are overrated and can't even sing, THIS is music! ❤
She is totally committed musically and lyrically in this performance. What a powerhouse of talent.
Her voice is superior to anyone else’s, and she’s the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen. She’s literally perfect
She sings sharp and she blew that high note so bad I am embarrassed FOR her.
I agree
