That is SO many colors...wow...you're brave. I saw the video title and actually said out loud "Aw Buddy, no..." At least it wasn't too many colors. If you had dumped all of them, I would have cried!
How did you know what colour belonged to the number. The two greens that were so close in colour as well. How do you know the DMC number it belonged to?
First, that dress is gorgeous! Lime green is my favorite color! Next, I am doing a 250 color Josephine Wall painting and organized them by symbols. I grouped all the hands and feet together. All the various Pac-Man, squares, arrows, etc. I find that that worked best for me. My painting is from Diamond Painting Deutschland too. 100cm x 75cm. Love the quality! Oh efffff!!! I could cry for you! That sucks Jade! 😭😭😭
Ohh my god!!! I'm so sorry this happened and when I watched I totally felt the sheer horror of the situation! I would have totally trashed it because my dog sheds so it would have been a diamond and hair painting!! Genius system by the way.. Totally going to use it in the future.
😭How awful! Glad you got it mostly sorted. I’ve had spilled drills, but not on that scale! My cats are notorious for being the culprits. Loved the idea of weighing the drills to know how many containers you’ll need.
I have the same exact containers and have them stacked like you. I spilled a bunch as well. I at least had completed little more than a quarter way...I feel your pain...I am also working on a Josephine Wall kit...
Wow girl...you rock! I would have cried for a month. Then, I would have set about sorting them. Good thing to know that the company doesn't replace if you have an accident. With the sheer amount of colors in that painting, that alone would keep me from purchasing from them. Lol...not to mention the size of it and the cost!!! I'm so sorry it happened to you, but really glad you were able to get it mostly fixed. The colors that are so close in shade won't actually matter in the end unless they are massive blocks of color and it doesn't look like it is anywhere in the painting. I hope it is smooth sailing for you from here on out!! Thank you so much for sharing!
I'm so sorry for your spill! And I admire how you coped! It was very brave of you to face the problem and solve it! I would have thrown a temper tantrum! And it was extremely generous of you not to be angry with Diamond Painting Deutschland. They really could have been more understanding and helpful! I mean you did pay a lot for that kit. And they did send it to you in the first place. So I really don't understand why they couldn't promise to send you some extra drills of 16 colors in case you ran out. Since you have saved so many due to your unbelievably patient perseverance, you will most likely be short of only a few drills, if any. And they can't be bothered to help you out? Okay, it was your fault you spilled them, but why on earth can't they sell you a few extra drills to finish that DP? That is really bad customer service!
@@Jadeikens Diamond Painting Deutschland does sell drills. Are they acrylic, too? Or are they resin? I still don't understand why they can't send you extra drills. I live in Germany and so far I have only bought complete kits from them (Josephine Wall), which have always arrived very quickly. So, I would like to suggest that you tell me if you run out of drills and I'll get them from Diamond Painting Deutschland and send them to you. Would that help you? Shipping between the USA and Germany is very slow, but waiting for a month or so to finish your canvas is better than not being able to finish it at all, right?
I feel ya, I really do. Put tape around the the box or heavy duty magnets. So the boxes don’t open again. Or even Velcro. So sad and frustrating. Good luck . It’s a beautiful painting.

That would suck so bad. I have had little spills before but nothing major cross fingers it never will. I dont think I could do it I would probably put it away until I could get the drills. 😢 but Im glad you could do it.
to avoid drills spilling in the future order on amazon locking bead contaner they look like binders but lock so welll and i never have a spill if they fall
I’ve been dping for a couple of years and I used to take the time to do all of the steps and buy all different kinds of storage containers. But now when the drills come prebagged in numerical order I just move the bags into a plastic hinged storage box and I’m ready to go. (That includes the little plastic boxes that sushi comes in. I’m a 30 cm x40 cm kit girl.) If they come in the crinkly plastic train, I cut them apart and put each color bag in its own small zip bag. No need to do anything unless I need to use a Sharpie to write the symbol or DMC number on the original bag. Then, when I kit down, I just move each of the bags into my big box of DMC leftovers and file them numerically . By keeping the original packaging, I can match drills from different companies if I ever come up short. I’m saving a lot time at the start and finish. All that to say that I’ve dropped my share of drills and I’d rather avoid it. 😊🥴😁. Try it-you’ll like it.
I’ve worked out of bags but I’m not a fan 😅 Plus kitting up is one of my favorite parts of diamond painting! So o don’t want to give that up! 😅😂 The only reason they spilled is cause the fell from a fairly large height as my ac was vibrating the table and I didn’t realize tell the fell. I’m glad you found a system that works for you!
@@Jadeikens To be fair I had to come up with a tighter way to deal with kits and drills because I carry my current wip to my job and back again each day. Besides I don’t think I could every dare to take on one of the big projects. I’m a serial starter. Currently have 3 active and 3 inactive kits and several I’m thinking about. Edit to add that you have the patience of a saint because I would’ve probably tossed them and either bought new ones or just scrapped the whole thing. I couldn’t handle that mess.
Oh god my worst nightmare 😫. And I am really clumsy. So I can see myself doing just that. I have to diamond paint at my dining table. Hoping to move so I can have a dedicated crafting space. I quilt and do diamond painting both requires room.
Oh I feel your pain big time , when saw all those drills on the floor I said to my self that is going to take a hot minute to clean up and separate . If that happened to me with that many falling to there death I would take a 3month break on that one .
I think I would have just kitted up in DMC order but the colors all grouped together look great! I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm guessing this is going to be confetti heavy so you could always use a similar enough color from the other colors if you run out of the spilled colors. If you buy extras, they might be the wrong shade anyways. I'm sure it will still turn out beautiful. 😭

Have seen 3 different ways..lol. I do like your color idea tho!!! Then the end..WAAAAAAAA😭 I have mixed more then once and it is quite the challenge to resort..Proud of you for doing it!!!! If you end up doing it by color I suggest having sub categories of white vs black symbols! Other than that I love mine In color order! I love my Canadians!
I'm having a moment of silence here, in memory of your drills 😥 It makes me antsy as I'm just kitting up a huge Max Colour HAED canvas with 235 colours as we speak and I'm using those same pill box style storage to do it... I'm going to be veeeery careful where I keep those things now, LOL. I bought my Resin drills from EverMoment on AliExpress if that helps as they sell drills only now. They don't have it as an actual listing, however if you send them a direct message then they'll tell you how to spreadsheet your order requirements to them and they'll do a tailored quote that way.
It’s okay! I think I saved 95% of them! So fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I don’t run out! You should be okay! The only reason they spilled was that my dummy brain thought it would be fine for a minute next to my ac unit (it vibrates the Table next to it) and I got distracted so I didn’t notice when they got close to the edge! Picking drills up is an exercise in patience, and discipline...XhugsX As a crafter who has had the same happen with flat-back beads and gems, I laughed awkwardly at the spillage because I remembered how long it took me to pick up the gems, and how my two cats thought it was a perfect time to roll on the floor and the gems stuck to the static in their fur....lol. 😢🤣🤣😢😢😢🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
I've only been diamond painting since January after I received a few kits as belated Christmas presents I rearranged an area in my lounge, kitchen, dinner just so I could set up a really clear area and luckily there's nothing that can fall break in the area I only watched this for the laugh factor 😂😂😂😂😂😂 why do so many adults cry I'm sixty three and I can't remember as an adult crying for any reason death , illness, ect,

I hate to laugh at your expense, but how you handled it was quite funny. 😅 😂 Did you create the symbol stickers that goes onto each of the containers that you placed the drills in, or did it come already done for you.? How did you create the stickers if you did them?
