I haven't missed a video from August 2022 when I first found this channel. I was sick and was looking for something chill to distract me but i found a lot more .
I think the ability to diversify the farm is the saving grace for you, it's not just about what you produce via crops or livestock, but also the videos, the books, the merch. Just being an old school farmer isn't financially feasible on a small farm anymore.
Your last sentence is the key. He has two options, one - scale up massively and sacrifice everything that makes us watch this channel, two - stop trying the impossible and feeling bad because he doesn't archive it.
You can make a decent profit using a similarly sized farm growing strictly organic. Vegetable gardens, strawberry picking etc. But for that you need employees and weed management is incredibly hard. In terms of money earned for hours worked it's still terrible but it is livable.
Its amusing you write this. Because in my opinion its actually the opposite. The revenue ratio is EASILY 10:1 (if he said it was 100:1 i would actually believe it aswell) between all social media stuff and farm stuff. The social media stuff is the actual buisness. The farm is just what provides content for the actual buisness. And thats just revenue. This is meant as no slide, i love the content and i genuinely love that they are trying to still make money with the farm. But lets please not kid ourselves (they dont do this either and he is very truthful about this)
You're not even a 1st generation farmer. You're a Brooklyn/DC transplant doing the best he can to learn and entirely new lifestyle. You're doing just fine. Give yourself some grace. Thank God for TH-cam and the opportunity it provides you. Keep it up, homie.
For this 5 year bedridden farmers daughter , this you tube channel and Sandi Brock keep me not only entertained but from being lonely. My day is so much brighter when i see a new post. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Actually, considering how many animals you lost- your profit didn't completely tank and that's an absolute miracle!🎉 And we raised so much money for your friends that YOU GOT GOATS!❤🐐
Your community is richer having you in it. We're also richer for being able to watch the farm online. This level of authenticity is a big part of why I watch. Best wishes for the new year!
Morgan, a couple of things to keep in mind if you’re having doubts about your strategy: *In the beginning stages of development, you’re still learning. *As you redo your budget each year, you will likely do better and better at tracking and allocating your costs, therefore remind yourself that past year’s P&L may not be as accurate as you thought when you first calculated, so year to year comparisons may not be as valid. *Profits from pork got dragged down by the loss of 25% of your inventory. That one loss would not be as significant as if you had 10 pigs. *Your beef cattle is still in development and could begin to pay off big in a few short years. Keep at it! You’re doing great. Best wishes, A non-farmer, (so what do I know?)
I am so proud of how much you tried this year Morgan. Your failures are our data for future success, and I can not thank you enough for continuing to try.
You hit the nail on the head with the observation that if you won the lottery what would you do... You said you'd do what your doing so in fact you are living your best life. You are doing what you love, and you love what you are doing. That's living! Plus, you bring joy to us your fans. So from me directly to you, "Thank you".
One of the best things about this channel is your transparency and honesty about the good things and the bad things that happen on the farm. You just keep doing what you're doing, and we'll be here with you.
I just bought a house and the straightforward, clear, 'get it done' approach from Morgan has been super helpful in terms of trying to get my head on right and get to work on said house. A task isn't so intimidating if you look it in the face say what it is and what you're gonna do about it. Also now I want chickens. Blaming Morgan for that one too.
The most important value is what you a stated at 21:44. You said “I love my life” THAT is the biggest value. The financials will come. And you Inspire so many people so don’t feel down on yourself.
You haven’t lost your charm. Not even talking about your wife, Alfred, the dogs and cats and all the rest of your animals. Continue spreading your magic, and it hopefully will continue to flow back to you. You are authentic and your struggle is real. I will watch as long as you make videos.
I think that this year was not a bust. Working with animals is always a risk... illness can wipe out the entire herd. But you figured out the cattle problem early, and next year you will have a handle on the ducks. Keep the faith. We are behind you!!
While you're saying thank you to us.......I think we need to say thank you too. You keep it real with your struggles and your delights and the optimism for things to always get better. Thank you and Happy New Year to you 💖💖💖
Morgan…I’m a 52 yr old Canadian chick living in Ontario who wishes she could life the life you live but instead is bed bound with incurable CRPS. Your videos let me live vicariously through you….I was a city girl growing up in Toronto who moved to Vancouver island for many years and had a similar life to what you have now. After my marriage broke up and I got sick I came back to Ontario because medical care is easier to access here but I miss my rural life. Other than my 3 teenagers…you give me so much joy with your videos. Seeing you get emotional made me emotional….Im sure you realize how important this channel and your farm are to us. I hope you can make a living from TH-cam as long as you can because truly your little farm is a piece of heaven❤❤Happy New year Morgan and Alison🎉🎉(and hugs to all the animals)
I don't know which type of CRPS you have or which body part is affected in your case, but i know what you're feeling and what you're going through right now. I truly wish you good and hopefully a cure and some type of remedy come along in the future for you. My mother was affected by CRPS for 14 years and i could see that it took an heavy toll on her right until her death (unrelated to CRPS). I wish you a happy new year and hopefully your nervous system will sound the alarm a bit less in 2025. If you need to chat im here for you.
Thank you for blessing my life with your videos. I haven't been as regular a watcher of them in 2024 as I wanted to as life is well, complicated. As I look back on my life this past year, I have what are (to me) more disappointing accomplishments than celebrations, but overall, I came through the year with a lot of building moments where I'm putting together a better foundation to build a spectacular 2025! I have purchased some needed infrastructure and made some home repairs that are already making my life easier and will make it easier to succeed and save time and energy in 2025. Ok. Enough rambling. I repaired my garage door and automatic garage door opener. I bought a freeze drier and am excited about using it especially for fruit next spring. I'm going through my seed catalogues and planning my purchases now. It's the first time in 10+ years that I've been this much on top of this part of my gardening chores. I've usually struggled to buy plants/seeds for the garden by March/April. My friends and family have invited me to interact more with them this year and I'm actually less worried about goals and able to slow down and really enjoy being with them in the moment! I love watching your videos and am looking forward to a fabulous new year of watching your wonderful farming activities in the new year of 2025! From a 73 year young, independent woman. Keep up the great work!!!🙏❤️🙏
Your videos bring me so much joy ,I feel akin to you as I live in Connecticut, and I would love to follow in your tracks ,but at 71 and with an immune system that is trying to kill me I will stick to my rescue cats .love the goats and baby B😊😊
😆 I am impressed that Morgan can multi-task this way between farm tasks and desk work. I'd be pushing the paperwork off until I was forced to do it. Perhaps his career in marketing helped him develop his mix of analytical and creative skills.
We didn't raise $100k, you raised $100k. It doesn't happen without Morgan Gold and this channel that you built. I know you don't share social media revenue but you'll easily get to 1 million subs in the new year. I know amongst the big channels that's nothing, but most people couldn't ever dream of that kind of success. Keep doing what you're doing. It's hard to describe just how much this channel means for myself and so many others. Also can you share what the second book will be? Can we get a petition going to get Pedro Pascal to do the voice of pablo barn cat for the audible version? ;)
How much poorer would Peacham be without you and your youtube channel and your ability to motivate the rest of the people who watch you to become aware and involved enough to want to help your community? You matter! Thanks 4 sharing ur world! Happy New Year! ;)
In college, I kept my horse at my boyfriend’s grandparents’ farm. They had a bathroom on their back porch with a little framed picture of two little boys and in quotations “If I had a million dollars, I’d farm till it was all gone” Farming is HARD! I do it as a hobby as I spent 20 plus years in corporate HR. Every year I do small enterprises from growing things. Have had some wild successes and wild failures. There’s so many variables that come into play. Fall down 10 times and get up 11. Love your content and sending positive vibes!
Honestly Morgan, a lot of farmers are in the red regularly, so having a profit overall is a great milestone. The fact that you're testing different facets of income is also a really great asset you have because a lot of conventional farmers are very stuck in tradition (my dad being one of them) which adds to the failure of their operation. There's so many other ideas you can try out and you have lots of time to try them and find a niche that works for you. You got this
Morgan: You do you! You are wonderful just the way you are. I love Mondays and Thursdays for your videos. I watched your 24 hour live for as long as I could. I loved it when Alfred changed the numbers so that you got goats!!! This year was a tough year for me, also. I pray next year is better for all of us!
You did something new! It didn't work out. Building the new hatchery, a whole new system. Having your calves once more. This year was one of those for learning again. You will learn to perfect your new system, and the calves you lost serve as a reminder what mistake you will NEVER EVER do again. Don't dwell in regret for too long, you had a hard year. And that's out of your overall control. Here's to a better new year and thank you for all the videos you make and share. The good, the bad, the ugly. ♥
Love your transparency. Don't discount the benefits to your mental health and the fact that you do make income from TH-cam. I think you are doing great.
I appreciate the catnip I bought from you this year, Sir Fuzzybutt loves it. He comes running when I open the freezer and waits for me to pull it out. I hope you have more luck finding a large animal vet in your area and keeping your animals in one place this year. Really glad you figured out the mineral issue so you can keep your calves up and running!
My grandfather, a farmer, used to say that if he won the lottery, he would farm until he spent it all. When you said you would keep doing what you’ve been doing, but maybe with better equipment, you reminded me of him. You are definitely a true farmer! If a person does it merely for money, he is in the wrong business. You have to love it.
I am a grandmother/nanny for my grandson, and I cannot thank you enough for the videos- it helps me teach my grandson all about the animals! He loves watching and gets so excited every time we watch- he is learning animal sounds and is mesmerized by all of the animals! We r hooked and appreciate your honest, funny and informative look at farm life! Thanks for making our days brighter!
Morgan, we have followed you from Day 1. We are so proud of you and ALL your accomplishments and you have taught us many lessons from your failures as well. We love your humility and your sense of humor and the love and care you have for all your critters goes deep into our hearts. I personally believe that God did put you in your situation for a purpose and you are doing it and helping many of us along the way. While we all look back at the year and try to evaluate our successes (and failures) but we are always learning and growing as farmers because of it. We love you and keep encouraging you in your endeavors for 2025. The best is yet to come. Please keep inspiring us with your videos.❤Blessings❤
Your TH-cam videos are wonderful, don’t forget that. Please don’t value your time only on the farm profit. You have a lot of people who love watching you!
I’m so inspired by how you helped your town after the flooding, you provided me with a way to help also which I thank you for. You certainly work hard, losing a large animal like a pig really set you back. Losing those 2 calves was heartbreaking. I love the personal care you give your animals, you are a good farmer.
You came from no background in running a farm and have no family background to help teach you the ways of making a farm work. Be very proud of all you have self-taught yourself. There are many small farms and large that have been in the business for many generations that struggle. You all work against and with a powerful force of nature and have to deal with many ups and downs. Bravo, and thank you to all those who work hard at this to help feed all of us out here. So be proud you are part of the hard-working workforce! 🙌 Thank you for sharing part of your days and animals to entertain and teach us viewers. ❤
Coming from generations of mostly prosperous farmers; I'm very 'proud' of you Morgan for sticking w/ your farming adventure! Like Winston Churchill said, "Never give up."
The reason I keep watching these videos is how genuine that you are with both the highs and lows of small holding. You will make mistakes that so obviously put you off, but you're a huge source of happiness to so many of us and we wish you the absolute best!!
I love you and every video you put out. Please don’t get discouraged. I’m a 76 year-old grandmother at home with emphysema and on oxygen and I enjoy every minute I can watch your videos. You lift my spirits on my bad days
You took on a bunch of new things in the last few years. You learned a ton of hard lessons - which are all natural and needed in a way. You will never lose another calf that way again, because you've learned how to prepare for it. One day social media may not be viable, but by then you will have so much of a better handle on all things farm. You are rich because you get to do what you love, and that is priceless. We love you Morgan, you have such a good heart! Happy New Year!
I am grateful for the hours of entertainment you put out. Just watching how you handled the cat getting in the way, with patience and kindness, made me happy and like you even more. Thanks.
You are improving SO MUCH!! I’ve been watching for years and the entertainment factor is PRICELESS! Your filmography is better and better, your self-improvement is inspiring, your animal husbandry skills are escalating and your interaction with the animals is heartwarming. If you had never been born, there are hundreds of thousands of us, all over the world, whose lives would be less. So, the farm is the vehicle into the internet and the blessing that you truly are. I will be 67 tomorrow. Decades ago I got a bachelor’s degree in animal sciences and thought I’d be doing what you do for a big fat living. I married a city boy and even though he promised to buy me a farm one day, it never happened. Watching your trials makes me glad I didn’t try it. Even as a young woman I don’t think I’d have been able to physically do all the things you do. I’m glad to live vicariously through you as a retirement hobby. If you quit, I will be devastated, lol. I believe that as time goes on, you will be more and more profitable just because you keep learning every day. And if you give all that profit away, it just means more and more of us will be touched by your wonderful life.
You didn't fail you invested you playing the long game please my love don't give up. I know life is hard but don't feel good without bad you just reaching a stage in your life the reajustment is hard.
I totally agree with the long game scenario. You figured out what made the calves sick, so that won't happen in2025. Your herd is growing. You are an avid learner. Yes, the year had drawbacks, but all in all, you are on track.
Please don't be hard on yourself. You are not a failure. This was a terrible year for every thing honestly. My friend you took a gamble as alot of us have and lost. You can't predict the weather or what the animals will do or not do. Just know in your heart of hearts it was all done out of love for what you do.
2024 was a bad year for an extraordinary amount of people, including myself, and your channel has been a light through this dark time. That kind of joy is priceless.
The farm feeds your soul and makes enough to support itself, with your investment of time and labor. The online content pays the bills because you are tremendously talented. Facilitating charitable giving feeds your heart and helps others. I would say you're doing very well! 😊
your mindset and appreciation for the life you're living is something that money can't buy. You're crushing it anytime you get even close to passing that "lottery test". Thank you for sharing all of this - financial mumbo jumbo included.
Happy New Year Morgan - I had a crappy year too but I am always positive. Deal with one issue at a time, there's no point in worrying because worry changes nothing except that it pollutes the moment you're presently living.
2024 Has definitely been rough for my family also. It started out with me being sick with covid and the flu on New Year’s Eve. Then my Son got a Job at Tesla and then he was one of those people that got let go. Then he got hired back which was good. In September just one week after his birthday he broke his leg in a bad accident and had surgery and is currently learning how to walk again. Luckily he still has his job. So let’s have a great 2025 for all of us. Happy new year Morgan and family ❤
3 steps forward, 2 steps back. there's always going to be disappointments in life, we need to take those as lesson for improvement. you're doing great, and keep persevering through your journey, it's so worth it. can't wait to see what's next for you :)
Applauding how you weathered the challemges and storms of 2024! Here's to a new, better year! Happy New Year to you, Allison, your extended family, and your farm! 🎉🎆
I enjoy your company Morgan. I like how you think and question things. I like seeing your beautiful wife Alison occasionally. I love all of your different sorts of livestock. I suffer badly from depression, CPTSD etc and you give me other things to think about. I’m so sorry for all of your hardships and what you had to deal with. The floods were so devastating for all of your neighbourhood and I am sorry for the loss of your friend as it will still be distressing you all. I do miss my country expeditions I had as a child which is another reason I follow you. I hope your laryngitis goes as it still sounds sore. It’s new New Year’s Eve here as Sydney Australia is a day before you so I wish you a Happy New Year. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩🎉🎉🎉🎇🎇🎇🎆🎆🎆🍾🍾🍾🥂🥂🥂
Morgan when I was raising geese, ducks and chickens ... I wiped all the eggs clean and had areal success with 82% hatching ...maybe if you cleaned your eggs you will have more success... I can't do that or run an animal sanctuary which I did for almost20 years , as I am now bedridden and in a great deal of pain constantly ...love watching you ... Hope the new year brings you good health peace , happiness and success in all you endeavor to do ... The same to your wife Allison X X X X
Just want to say, the education you received from the events that occurred this past year need to be acknowledged. While those events might have cost you this year, the experience will allow you to respond in a manner that doesn't result in losses in years to come. That education is priceless.
Thank you so much for being you! Always so authentic and wonderfully honest. I’ve been watching for a long time and treasure every video (full transparency, not the ones where you don’t talk - I’m here to hear your truth after all). I love that you show your feelings, you cry when things are hard and laugh when things are going well. You’re such a wonderful human!!
There will be good years and bad years. You just have to have faith in yourself. Thank goodness you have TH-cam to pay the bills! We will be here today and tomorrow. You bring us joy and that’s priceless. Love and hugs always to you and yours! ❤️❤️❤️
What is hard about tracking value in homesteading/farming, whatever you want to call it, is infrastructure. Every year you add infrastructure to the farm which allows you to do more in the future and adds value to the farm adds value. It’s good you acknowledge the good you do for the community, you teach others, give value to everyone you interact with and increase your knowledge (and hopefully happiness and gratitude). Numbers are in the red but in every other area you’re in the black! I appreciate you sharing the realities of farming. I did it for years but had to stop (medical crap) I hope to have a small hobby farm in the near future though. I’m currently looking for land! Have a wonderful New Year everyone!
I think this year was hard and discouraging in so many ways, but seeing people come together through your fundraisers, fundraisers for western NC, watching people Like Hank and John Green do so much for so many around the world. It really does give me hope for humanity at large…
Thank you for being honest about how the farm performed vs the value you are able to add to your life and others. I think your right, being able to do more charity and things similar to that will make things with the farm the best they can be. I 100% support you helping locally, the thing you do so well on here is tell stories. If you do charity for causes further away, I would prefer if you could travel, do interviews, and make the story video you usually make. That very personal story you tell and how you share it is your strong suit, so I think it makes the most sense to work locally and help strengthen the community. Long term, I think it would be very cool if you could do stories on other local farmers and figure out how to improve conditions for them to stay on brand and tell those deep personal stories. Of course I never want you to take advantage of anyone, only those who are excited to share and want to be heard. Maybe one day, you could even help rebuild a local struggling farm.
Aww, this is why farming is such a challenge, you were hit by several big loses, and that’s going to sting. Morgan, your heart for the community has been a contribution many souls won’t forget. Like you said, if you were to win the lottery, you would still be living the farm life. So don’t be too hard on yourself, all the other ways you bring home the bacon like TH-cam, like your book are just as important to be proud of, so hold that head up high and let’s make 2025 the best year ever! Happy New Year Morgan and Alison!🎉💕👍
The contribution to your community is not measurable but significant. That is your local community and your you tube community. You have made my life brighter. It’s been a rough year but you learned a lot. Wishing you and your family and community a joyful, healthy 2025 🎉
Hey Morgan, you do help, a lot without knowing. In the last five years my health has extremely deterioriated due to ME/CFS / long-covid. I'm now bedridden 95% of the day, and watching (or sometimes just listening) to videos is the only thing left that's possible at all. And yes, your channel is a part of that lifeline, that keeps me going until research gets around to develop better medication. So thank you, you are NOT wasting your time on that.
I am so so proud of you Morgan! You hit so many hurdles that hit you so hard, and yet you still did so well! My daughter and I love watching you every week, and she's 20mos. We love turning on "Mr. Morgan" and watching the farm grow
These videos are always interesting! It is definitely okay to be frustrated sometimes. I always appreciate everything that you do. You'll always have my support.
Farming is very profitable, it just requires massive scale. Morgan shouldn't chase scale/profitability - it would ruin his life, his animals lives and his content quality.
Despite the few failures you had, I think that you were very successful. The love and determination you showed all year long for your animals….like how easily you moved your cattle into winter holdings….compared to when you first got them was a joy to me. I so enjoyed the 360 videos, the zen moments, so much more. I got your book in my sock last year for Christmas….loved it! My grandfather as a farmer had many “rough” years, but he loved it just the same. Thank you for making my life enriched. Not everything or success needs to be measured by dollars. May you and your lovely wife have a wonderful New Years.
Ginny Barn Cat the movie star! One of the cats that came with my house is just like her. Attention seeker, follows me around, and a shoulder parrot. To help change your mindset: instead of thinking of this year as the worst year with failures, it was a learning year, and you are now more prepared to move forward. Instead, think of this year as your most impactful year--you have raised tons of money to help people going through a rough time, plus, people are learning through your experiences and will be more successful for it. Happy New Year to you.
Watching you get emotional over the fundraising made me get emotional because I can relate to feeling like sometimes the only reason your living is because you know your life has helped others. You Morgan are incredible! And it's ok to feel the way you feel. Mental health isn't talked about enough but even when your not talking about it and just showing your true emotion you are helping others.
I would say that your bills are paid, you have food that you have raised yourself in your freezer, you and your wife experienced some amazing trips this year, and you have a community who is invested in you, both locally and through( social media. You are a blessed man, and things will improve. I remember the huge hit our finances took in the 2008 crash, and how we put more into our retirement that year than it was worth at the beginning of 2009…..that didn’t feel great, but we knew it was a temporary setback.
I believe he buys in his hay so that should be included in that expense. Also maybe the Charolais cattle he purchased are also in the expense since they were in a video on January 15th of 2024.
A suggestion for possible merch - the pictures you use for the t-shirts, have you thought about having prints made of them? Easy to produce and ship (a friend uses redbubble), just plain black and white, a decent size, that would be cool.
I don’t have a farm but my property is lined with black locust trees. I rip out and mow over 100s of seedlings starting in spring through the summer. They are a productive reproducing tree. Seriously I think could start a side hustle. Who knew. 😂
It's a good thing you still have your actual job of being a content creator to pay the bills. It's really a shame you don't add that revenue into the breakdown. There's a lot of people that look at your videos thinking they're going to jump right into it because you're still going after all this time, but in reality, without the social media income you'd probably have pulled the tent stakes years ago. Small farming is pretty much impossible these days without some supplemental income.
Thank you for creating this community! You have created a place of generousity, life, growth. 🎉 I hope you continue to get better and get your voice back.
Every year is not failure, it’s a learning experience. Congratulations on sticking with it for 7 years so far. I think you’re doing a fantastic job. Learning curves and all.🎉
It was a crazy year. For everyone! Trust me, we all had our weird year. You’re always learning and improving. This year was a minor step back. You’ll continue to improve and learn. Next year will have its own surprises. And you’ll handle them. Thanks for all the great videos, Morgan. Even if you aren’t raking the cash, you’ve made many people happy, you have a lovely farm and home, a great wife, and your bills are paid. Happy new year, Morgan.
I'm so glad you're not quitting. I appreciate all you do. Your farm is fulfilling to so many of us who live vicariously. Thank you for having a generous heart, both in your sharing and in your donating to causes. Community is where it's at and you've built a beautiful one.
You're doing what you love, you're happy, your family is happy, your farm is growing and becoming more efficient as you learn, experiment and improve infrastructure. You were hit by several things out of your control this year that affected the money side. It will even out and your profit margin will rise. Wishing you, Allison, and the farm a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
The greatest people I have ever known have given to others and lifted others up. Thank you for your hard work and dedication and shining the lime light on others.❤
I’m actually watching you for a long time, I remember when you was so excited to move to farm. I immediately started to root for you. I love your videos and can’t wait until another. I love you, I feel like I’m watching friend live his dream.
Well Morgan~ Your numbers may be disappointing this year but it seems to be things that u couldn't for see but u can now learn from..I would also think your time on the farm with the animals and that beautiful setting for your mental and physical health is priceless .
I love watching you because you give life lessons. You also do what you love! That's inspiring. Even if the money isn't what you hope for, it's what you love. And from all this experience you'll always be ok in this world.
There are tens of thousands of people who see an upload, smile and get ready to catch up with a friend. That's what you do, it's priceless.
Ha! That's exactly how I feel!
I haven't missed a video from August 2022 when I first found this channel. I was sick and was looking for something chill to distract me but i found a lot more .
This. I've been watching since 2020. I'm a city guy who gets his country-side-fix every week through you.
Thanks for all you do
Such lovely replies ! Morgan you are loved man and every farmer has bad years and most have more bad than good due to big business ❤

And thats just revenue.
This is meant as no slide, i love the content and i genuinely love that they are trying to still make money with the farm. But lets please not kid ourselves (they dont do this either and he is very truthful about this)
That goes for nearly anything small scale in the US anymore, not just farming.
Try" tinyshinehome " wonderful homestead building there own home
Same this channel and Sandi are keeping me going in the tough days
Check out Farmer Tyler Ranch, 10th Generation Farmer, Tom Pemberton, and The Hoof GP. Similar vibes.
@Indigoturtle4581 I do,..but just not my favs.
Morgan be kind to yourself. There were quite a few things that you didn't know or where out of your control. You are doing amazing!
Actually, considering how many animals you lost- your profit didn't completely tank and that's an absolute miracle!🎉
And we raised so much money for your friends that YOU GOT GOATS!❤🐐
Morgan "I'm not a cat person" proceeds to have a 30 minute video cuddling Ginny and Lil 😂
I'm pictureing a T-shirt with Morgan on it loving Jenny B Cat with the wording "I'm not a cat person." On it!
Ginny "show me what them hands do"
You can tell that a cat loves you when they insist that you smell their butt.
Your community is richer having you in it. We're also richer for being able to watch the farm online. This level of authenticity is a big part of why I watch. Best wishes for the new year!
Morgan, a couple of things to keep in mind if you’re having doubts about your strategy:
*In the beginning stages of development, you’re still learning.
Best wishes,
A non-farmer, (so what do I know?)
I'm assuming you knew business well enough to sound intelligent.
I am so proud of how much you tried this year Morgan. Your failures are our data for future success, and I can not thank you enough for continuing to try.
Thank you so much for donating the cat nip revenue to your local animal shelter. I'm sure they were beyond grateful for the much needed donation ❤
You said “I love my life”
THAT is the biggest value.
@@KatMcLean-si3vs- you go girl!
As a retired accountant, I love this video.
Can we get a petition going to get Pedro Pascal to do the voice of pablo barn cat for the audible version? ;)
I love the fact Jenny is giving you all of her attention and refuses to take "no, go away" seriously. So comforting watching her give you hugs.
They had a bathroom on their back porch with a little framed picture of two little boys and in quotations “If I had a million dollars, I’d farm till it was all gone”
Farming is HARD! I do it as a hobby as I spent 20 plus years in corporate HR. Every year I do small enterprises from growing things. Have had some wild successes and wild failures. There’s so many variables that come into play.
Fall down 10 times and get up 11.
Love your content and sending positive vibes!
If I had a Million dollars, I’d farm till it was all gone. …. Perfect!!!!!!
Blubber away! We love you and your genuine kindness. Happiest New Year to everyone on Gold Shaw Farm. And Alfred’s family. To a healthy 2025
It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite too. It's message keeps me putting one foot in front of the other, despite all that I've lost.
Hoping next year is better for you. Please remember that you make a lot of our lives better just because you share your farm/ life with us.
You are a great example of how TH-cam can bring us together. Thank you for taking time to chat.
The cat is hilarious!!!!!❤
The cat is cracking me up! Which I need!! 😊
your mindset and appreciation for the life you're living is something that money can't buy. You're crushing it anytime you get even close to passing that "lottery test".
Thank you for sharing all of this - financial mumbo jumbo included.
Snow is everywhere, the scenery is amazing. Wishing everyone a happy New Year!
An additional by product of your farm is the relaxation it provides; especially for me.
You're the only farmer that I watch. Good luck. There's always next year
Yeah, I only watch him and Cog Hill Farm.
OMG... I was laughing so much barn cat... rounding and touchy with you... love it....I love that ❤❤😊
Good year-end video - can feel for neighbors coming together to help in difficult situations. Hope your voice continues to recover!
I watch you knowing I'll never have my own farm and I'm fine just watching you to get my fix.
I think this year was hard and discouraging in so many ways, but seeing people come together through your fundraisers, fundraisers for western NC, watching people
Like Hank and John Green do so much for so many around the world.
Thank you for the insight. Farming is tough and politicians should be looking at this and thinking about the future of our food provision.
I’m glad to hear you’re going to keep at it, so wish you a very happy new year.
Make sure to like Morgan's video for a little algorithm boost! 👍 Thank you for being so open and showing us your life and farm 🥰 We appreciate you!
Actually a banger video. You come off as honest and open. Well done.
Wow. Almost $7000 in veterinary? I really appreciate everything you have accomplished in 2024. Money is not the only measure of success.
I believe he buys in his hay so that should be included in that expense. Also maybe the Charolais cattle he purchased are also in the expense since they were in a video on January 15th of 2024.
I've spend that much on just a couple of dogs.😊
A suggestion for possible merch - the pictures you use for the t-shirts, have you thought about having prints made of them? Easy to produce and ship (a friend uses redbubble), just plain black and white, a decent size, that would be cool.
Stickers
I don’t have a farm but my property is lined with black locust trees. I rip out and mow over 100s of seedlings starting in spring through the summer. They are a productive reproducing tree. Seriously I think could start a side hustle. Who knew. 😂
do it please
It's a good thing you still have your actual job of being a content creator to pay the bills. It's really a shame you don't add that revenue into the breakdown. There's a lot of people that look at your videos thinking they're going to jump right into it because you're still going after all this time, but in reality, without the social media income you'd probably have pulled the tent stakes years ago. Small farming is pretty much impossible these days without some supplemental income.
Thank you for creating this community! You have created a place of generousity, life, growth. 🎉 I hope you continue to get better and get your voice back.
Blubbering is part of your Italian heritage. Perfectly acceptable. No apologies necessary.🙂 Hugs to you.
Every year is not failure, it’s a learning experience. Congratulations on sticking with it for 7 years so far. I think you’re doing a fantastic job. Learning curves and all.🎉
Things happen, and you’ve resolved the calf-death problem & goose egg hatching issues!
I ❤ that you give back especially with donating to rescue and fundraising to help your neighbors!
Watch Clarkson's farm, he definitely makes you feel like a better smarter farmer.
I love you, I feel like I’m watching friend live his dream.
you should plan on buying goslings this next year to get the geese operation back up and running
Well Morgan~
Your numbers may be disappointing this year but it seems to be things that u couldn't for see but u can now learn from..I would also think your time on the farm with the animals and that beautiful setting for your mental and physical health is priceless .
and, to cheer you up a little, Morgan Gold, you are good people
I love watching you because you give life lessons. You also do what you love! That's inspiring. Even if the money isn't what you hope for, it's what you love. And from all this experience you'll always be ok in this world.
Thanks for the humble video. Happy New Year Morgan
