Your lathe must clip the peel, you ever have problems with wastage when it goes back to peeling? We have a clipping trash gate which is good when it works, but it is so heavy it constantly cracks and is in need of repairs on a regular basis. So much so that we are building a whole other spare to drop in.
@@josephjorgensen3282 does the sheet break affect round-up, or can it leave off from where it stopped the peel? Management seems to think that there would be too much wastage if we implemented that system. What are your thoughts?
Dose the hold down to the nv4 help reduce the need for breaking to remove the humps

We stopped using our trash gate as a actual clipping gate it always needed repaired and adjusted so we just run a sheet break on our carriage

It really doesn’t waist any good wood and after you can slow the trash gate down for less slamming its worth the try
