April Waves (Solo Piano)

A very short work dedicated to my mother which she requested for her 60th birthday (April 6th). In the future I will record the version you see in the video for English horn and piano.
It represents her love for the ocean and the nostalgia I feel when thinking of her. In general the piece is a dedication to any loved ones.
Also, if you know it, you'll notice that the 10th pattern in the bass is directly taken from the opening of Copland's Clarinet Concerto.

Such a beautiful and nostalgic piece. This does remind me of going to the beach, how the waves are calm, the sand is toasty on my feet, and the wind blowing calmly on my face. Just beautiful, even if I don’t understand how to read notes or play an instrument.(yet)
