- In this training video by Shapoorji Palonji E&C, one can learn the correct procedures, methodology, best practices, DOs and DONTs for Gypsum plastering.
Gypsum is extensively used for internal plastering and decorative work in buildings nowadays. The plastering method involves replacing sand-cement mortar plaster and POP punning thereafter by its single application directly on masonry surfaces. Gypsum plaster is preferred due to its superior finish and time saving attributes. This is worth mentioning that this plastering method was adopted in ancient age of construction when cement was not even invented.

The surface preparation makes it more costly than cement plaster. This is long labour intensive process.
very nice quality of work practice described here but one thing is missing you have put fibre mesh at the conduit location also..
and I want to know the practical obligation to follow this procedure at time whenever immense pressure of work put on us by the top management to complete the work before time period

Yes. You can use it in place of cement and sand plaster. But gypsum plaster cannot be used on exterior walls or bathroom and kitchen.
In the video they say to use bonding agent. Yet when the labour starts plastering their is no bonding agent on the wall.

Every thing is good to apply plaster on wall is wrong you don't use straight edge to straight the plaster you have to use the trowel and do 2 coat and finishing trowel

I appreciate you have made this video with full safety norms. But the question is what about the wastages? Because in a safety sight we have control wastages because to control extra costing, timing, unnecessary wastages. This wastages turns into debris. It's wasting money. So Pls let me know how many bags of pop powder could use in wall of 10*10(Including wastages). Awaiting for your reply. I must know It's my general knowledge
for 10 by 10 wall 125 kg of 10-12mm gypsum will enough. wastages depend on workers handskill and skilled supervison . asssume 10 to 20 % wastage .
Wastage is less than cement and send plaster.
When we check wall with Sprit level how much mm space will be . Tolerance
5 to 10mm
In Shapoorji we follow 3mm over 2 M measured in any direction for Gypsum plastering.
