Why. At some point people are just dense; think outside the box. Deadlock is Deadlock, not Cypher, not Sage, Deadlock. Her wall is not supposed to be sage wall, you can use it to stop a push and jump peak for info if enemies go quiet. Her net is like a revision of Cypher ult, it can confirm and stop enemies in locations, it's essentially a Neon counter pick. HER. TRIP. ISN'T. CYPHER. TRIP. Use it in areas where there is gonna be noise, not flank unless you drop a shorty on the ground (usually works 1-3 times before enemies catch on, they pick up the shorty and make noise). Her ult isn't Raze ult. It bounces. It doesn't guarantee a kill and that's the point, it guarantees info. If you catch someone, usually EVERYONE there starts to shoot it, under no circumstances should you expect Deadlock ult to kill. Under all circumstances should you play around a trapped enemy that the other team usually wants back.

Deadlock isn’t Cypher x Sage. She is 200% defensive, until designed to stop push and delay defuse solely. Gravnet is stupidly good and underrated making it so easy to land HS and trap people in the gun load animation when you peak them. The wall is amazing because of its sections being able to trap others and isolate them. She is tactic and skill based and has the number one winning duo comp with cypher. Put respect on that agent.

Clove is a stupid placement in my opinion. If you want to play controller any other agent is better and its no even close. I feel like cloves biggest weakness is just the enemy being patient but alas my teams reyna cannot wait until the pick me up is over or the ult expires.

Breach is for push, he will be the second person entering site after the duelist but Breach also needs info from his team to correctly be played sometimes. I’ve only met two other good breach players and that says a lot.
Deadlock is litteraly one of the best agents rn, especially in duo queue with a cypher or anybody playing with you, and has one of the highest use rates in vct, and the highest win rate in vct, i cannot belive chamber would ever be higher than deadlock
Deadlock is worst sentinel, can’t hold flank. Worse wall compared to sage and net is just not enough to stop a push like sage slow orb. In my opinion, kj and cypher best sentinel for holding down a site cypher has 2 trips which is already really good and he gets cam for free and cage for only 100 creds. Kj has a alarmbot and turret making her agent usable for flank and post plant plus the Molly. However, deadlocks wall could be effective if you use it well which won’t happen in low elo
Perhaps I was too harsh on here. But I’m going to give you my opinion: VCT influences people. She is most certainly not a top pick for the average Valorant player queuing ranked. She was bad before and is still bad as no major changes were implemented. This happened a while ago with harbour. Then, eventually everyone moved on afterwards as he’s still underwhelming. In VCT they use agents to deploy specific strategies. In slo queue, we don’t I need a really solid reason as to why she should be ranked higher besides VCT. Radiants I ask definitely don’t agree she’s good. Though, again this list is thought of with mainly solo Queue and mainly average ranked player. Lots of agents good for solo queue aren’t seen in VCT either. It’s irrelevant to 99% of players playing ranked
I got a couple ideas on how to make Deadlock better. Make her trips movement activated, make her wall opaque, and or give her ult the ability to net others around whoever gets caught. preferably change her trips to movement but ill be happy with an opaque wall. Even wilder idea is splitting her wall into 2. They'll be smaller but can block entrances without leaving a gap.
I agree with viper’s placement here but not for the same reason I do it for the learning curve ‘cause as soon as you get good wall placements (for every maps ,which I have(exceps b site on abyss), you can change the outcome of every round even without the ult it’s the biggest game changer
ive been a neon trick since she dropped, you didn't mention the strafe speed buff which is really the biggest, now that side strafe circle thing we all do is that much better plus its an ult buff too. she feels so good, but it takes MONTHS of customs to not be a thrower on neon, its not as easy as we make it look and i promise you cannot do it unless you have the movement gene and the time. if you dont just have that special magic, sure the stun slide is good, but she's still a throw pick unless she's mastered. if you dont have an entry for every site every map you are gonna have a rough time and get flamed.
I love neon but i dont have the time to put the hours into it I have 50h with her and i have played valorant for 70~ hours idk if i just should switch my main agent. I think im still kinda good with her
Everyone says that Astra is not reccomended because she requires too much team play but they never provide any reasons or examples. I think that astra can be a good pick when you have unreliable teammates on defense because on defense she can turn a pre placed star into a smoke, letting you reaction smoke off the choke faster than any other controller besides viper. -- Pretty useful if your teammates arent comming noise or utility. On offense you also can place stars on the spike from anywhere on the map, letting you effectively have lineups without having to spend hours taking screenshots of youtube lineups. Sure Astras have to look at the map a lot but honestly new players should work on understanding when to look at the map anyway. Anyway, I would really like to see some examples of the teamplay and coordination that other controllers bring to the team that astra doesn't. In my elo (gold-plat so pretty low) its way harder to get my team to punish off of an omen blind im throwing on entry than it is to get them to shoot an enemy who is getting gravity welled as they try to enter the site.
Just started playing on console. I want to main Omen, but I play with my bumpers/triggers flipped and there's a bug where the smokes move suuuuper slow when using bumpers. Can't go back to shooting with triggers, but the slow smokes make omen way less useful. Really hope Riot fix it
Im an Astra main. She is good for solo or double controller and even a sentinel at times. Her kit can be manipulated more than people give her credit for, you just gotta put in the time
I haven't seen it yet, but if every agent isn't a or s tier except Breach then it's wrong. Breach is not playable without comms, which you don't have that that often
I have the highest kd on cypher, but highest win rate on clove. Cypher has been the second agent i unlocked so i agree, he's very good. Though i find kj to be more comfy most of the time
ngl i mained harbor for a bit and i tell you he's AMAZING at letting his teammates rush in , buuuut it also makes me bottom to second at best frag even though i played a vital role in making us win
me personally win so many comp matches with breach but yes you need good comms, i duo with my buddy who always plays duelists so i can set him perfectly and climbing ranks is like a breeze
One thing i noticed in this video is that in many cases it ranks agents based on teamwork/teamplay. I get the point that playing for yourself is easier but at the end of the day valorant is a team game and unfortunatelly lately i noticed that ranked is full of these selfish players (even more than in the past). Even in higher elos nobody is comming or use everything for their own even if somebody other could use a specific utility better in a situation. valorant players dont really have map awarreness is probably the root of this problem and nobody wants to work on that for some reason. the amount of times i have seen people lose 2v1s 3v1s or even 4v1s just because of greed and not working together is insane. i wish the community would be somewhat leaning to teamwork a bit more but i dont really know what to expect anymore. any thoughts?

As a raze main, I have to disagree with the A tier. I can’t play her anymore because of the satchel nerf. As soon as that happened, you went from a jet flying through the air to an aimlabs target. It feels like you’re constantly moving through mud when satcheling. It is also a lot hard to peak with satchels now
clove was one of the best additions ever, easiest controller to play, and doesn’t need to play passive as smoke. if you don’t have a controller main someone can just fill clove pretty easily, so ur team isn’t fucked
Getting a top 50 radiant to help you make this video isn't a good idea. They don't know what its like to climb ranked, because they only que up in immortal+ games, which is like 0.1% of the playerbase

This is average person. EVERYONE is S tier if you know how to play them. Chamber is S tier for aim gods and op crutch’s. Ditto mains your so he thinks yoru is higher but most people are mindless while playing him which makes him harder for most players then people like Jett.
Change my mind: you shouldn't be able to 5 stack in ranked. There are already discouragements from doing it (less rr for example), there is just too much potential difference in skill between teams. This would also largely stop the botting problem.
@LuneToon Deadlock is actually quite good but she's horrible at being a "sentinel." She can't catch a lurker like a Cypher or Killjoy but her kit is very rewarding if you're active in the round. For example, you could be playing B site on bind. You hear two coming up long and there is shots from window. You can easily wall off the desert side, nade the window if someone got too aggressive and since your wall is open; anyone who dares to break it can be swung and clipped since they spent their magazine on an orb 💀. You can fall back but anyone who jumps out of the window will trip a sonic sensor underneath it and you can place one near the green box on the left corner to catch anyone planting default. Her ult is great for catching people off site or to counter ult an active ult. Exponentially more effective in 1v1s or little time so they can't run.
Toke everything at surface level, because deadlock and harbor are really good after a bit of practice all you need to do is just do a little research and you will see how strong they actually are
Harbor in my opinion is more of a c pick. He is the best smoke on abyss ( im sorry but i will put my foot down on that at least) and on Icebox and lotus his value goes up much higher when paired with another smoke. For example icebox with a harbor and viper is absolutely terrifying for attackers because there will always be a wall of smoke in their face before entering site and unless they have clearing util they wont know what is on the other side
as a one trick breach, he needs at least a buff if not a full rework, think about it, he is the only initiator to not have info gathering utility, so if I were a riot dev, I would at the very least give him a faster pop and weapon pullout time for his flash, his flash sucks, it takes 0.75 seconds to pop, and 1 second to pull out your gun, yeah, breach is a support agent, but when you want to play agro and peak off your flashes, it gets annoying, because you have to wait an entire second to swing, what the fuck. but if he were to get a rework he needs a few things changed, number one, change his role from initiator to dualist, then buff his flashes, not phoenix level, but somewhere like yoru level (not the full throw for yoru, just the pop time and gun pullout time) then rework his stun by keeping the 8 meter distance but make it so that the closer to breach the person is, the weaker the stun, and vise versa, if someone is the full distance, they can't really move and their crosshair has the running accuracy of a blind person, his aftershock can stay the same, his ult goes to 8 points and gets a better stun, not super powerful, but just enough to make hitting a one tap when stunned by the ult impossible, also severally reduce the range of his util other than his stuns and ult, and boom, you have a breach that can be better at what he does, and way more fun to play
As someone who mains breach in higher elo I kinda agree. I don't think he needs a full rework as his abilitys are already great however he can be slow. Pull out animations are a big thing for me. I don't think he should be duelist, it's excessive and breach has info gathering utility if you use it right. Breaches stun is perfectly fine if not broken. I alot of times snipe people with it across sites for my team to kill on the other side of the map. I understand the want for a quicker pace but other than maybe his blind being slightly quicker and the pullout animations also quicker. I don't see any other change needed.
Iso should be lower after his nerfs. You have to think a lot more about when to best use your double tap: because it lasts 8 less seconds you can easily waste it or get yourself killed trying to get use out of it. I still thoroughly enjoy him though because I love his vulnerable ability.

Phoenix does everything which is why hes good for comp specifically, not pro play, u can carry on phoenix so hard with his damage, heal, flash and wall

It's not that hard to kill a sliding neon. I get 1 tapped all the time mid slide. And while bunny hopping. I also 1 tap the other neons while they slide and bunnyhop. I think people are also understanding how to bend bullets more. It is nice that there's no more movement error, makes it fun to slide and get multiple headshots in 1 slide by just holding it at the correct level and spraying And I'm in bronze, I'm pretty sure everyone in silver or higher has better aim than us. I feel like having 2 relay bolts was better. They could've just reduced the slide regeneration to 1 kill. Honestly I should hesitate a bit more. I keep dying to kj mines because I'm charging in. And sometimes I listen to teammates and they keep getting me killed because they really don't understand how fast we move as Neon.

lots of radiants have been using her on abyss aswell with a high winrate aswell, I think she is underrated , you just need to play her right

Just started playing on console. I want to main Omen, but I play with my bumpers/triggers flipped and there's a bug where the smokes move suuuuper slow when using bumpers. Can't go back to shooting with triggers, but the slow smokes make omen way less useful. Really hope Riot fix it
Im an Astra main. She is good for solo or double controller and even a sentinel at times. Her kit can be manipulated more than people give her credit for, you just gotta put in the time
I haven't seen it yet, but if every agent isn't a or s tier except Breach then it's wrong. Breach is not playable without comms, which you don't have that that often
As a Phoenix main, I can confirm that he is versatile
I have the highest kd on cypher, but highest win rate on clove. Cypher has been the second agent i unlocked so i agree, he's very good. Though i find kj to be more comfy most of the time
ngl i mained harbor for a bit and i tell you he's AMAZING at letting his teammates rush in , buuuut it also makes me bottom to second at best frag even though i played a vital role in making us win

me personally win so many comp matches with breach but yes you need good comms, i duo with my buddy who always plays duelists so i can set him perfectly and climbing ranks is like a breeze
One thing i noticed in this video is that in many cases it ranks agents based on teamwork/teamplay. I get the point that playing for yourself is easier but at the end of the day valorant is a team game and unfortunatelly lately i noticed that ranked is full of these selfish players (even more than in the past). Even in higher elos nobody is comming or use everything for their own even if somebody other could use a specific utility better in a situation. valorant players dont really have map awarreness is probably the root of this problem and nobody wants to work on that for some reason. the amount of times i have seen people lose 2v1s 3v1s or even 4v1s just because of greed and not working together is insane. i wish the community would be somewhat leaning to teamwork a bit more but i dont really know what to expect anymore. any thoughts?

As a raze main, I have to disagree with the A tier. I can’t play her anymore because of the satchel nerf. As soon as that happened, you went from a jet flying through the air to an aimlabs target. It feels like you’re constantly moving through mud when satcheling. It is also a lot hard to peak with satchels now
clove was one of the best additions ever, easiest controller to play, and doesn’t need to play passive as smoke. if you don’t have a controller main someone can just fill clove pretty easily, so ur team isn’t fucked
Getting a top 50 radiant to help you make this video isn't a good idea. They don't know what its like to climb ranked, because they only que up in immortal+ games, which is like 0.1% of the playerbase

This is average person. EVERYONE is S tier if you know how to play them. Chamber is S tier for aim gods and op crutch’s. Ditto mains your so he thinks yoru is higher but most people are mindless while playing him which makes him harder for most players then people like Jett.
Change my mind: you shouldn't be able to 5 stack in ranked. There are already discouragements from doing it (less rr for example), there is just too much potential difference in skill between teams. This would also largely stop the botting problem.

@LuneToon Deadlock is actually quite good but she's horrible at being a "sentinel."
She can't catch a lurker like a Cypher or Killjoy but her kit is very rewarding if you're active in the round.
For example, you could be playing B site on bind. You hear two coming up long and there is shots from window. You can easily wall off the desert side, nade the window if someone got too aggressive and since your wall is open; anyone who dares to break it can be swung and clipped since they spent their magazine on an orb 💀.
You can fall back but anyone who jumps out of the window will trip a sonic sensor underneath it and you can place one near the green box on the left corner to catch anyone planting default.
Her ult is great for catching people off site or to counter ult an active ult. Exponentially more effective in 1v1s or little time so they can't run.
Toke everything at surface level, because deadlock and harbor are really good after a bit of practice all you need to do is just do a little research and you will see how strong they actually are
Harbor in my opinion is more of a c pick. He is the best smoke on abyss ( im sorry but i will put my foot down on that at least) and on Icebox and lotus his value goes up much higher when paired with another smoke. For example icebox with a harbor and viper is absolutely terrifying for attackers because there will always be a wall of smoke in their face before entering site and unless they have clearing util they wont know what is on the other side

as a one trick breach, he needs at least a buff if not a full rework, think about it, he is the only initiator to not have info gathering utility, so if I were a riot dev, I would at the very least give him a faster pop and weapon pullout time for his flash, his flash sucks, it takes 0.75 seconds to pop, and 1 second to pull out your gun, yeah, breach is a support agent, but when you want to play agro and peak off your flashes, it gets annoying, because you have to wait an entire second to swing, what the fuck. but if he were to get a rework he needs a few things changed, number one, change his role from initiator to dualist, then buff his flashes, not phoenix level, but somewhere like yoru level (not the full throw for yoru, just the pop time and gun pullout time) then rework his stun by keeping the 8 meter distance but make it so that the closer to breach the person is, the weaker the stun, and vise versa, if someone is the full distance, they can't really move and their crosshair has the running accuracy of a blind person, his aftershock can stay the same, his ult goes to 8 points and gets a better stun, not super powerful, but just enough to make hitting a one tap when stunned by the ult impossible, also severally reduce the range of his util other than his stuns and ult, and boom, you have a breach that can be better at what he does, and way more fun to play
As someone who mains breach in higher elo I kinda agree. I don't think he needs a full rework as his abilitys are already great however he can be slow. Pull out animations are a big thing for me. I don't think he should be duelist, it's excessive and breach has info gathering utility if you use it right. Breaches stun is perfectly fine if not broken. I alot of times snipe people with it across sites for my team to kill on the other side of the map. I understand the want for a quicker pace but other than maybe his blind being slightly quicker and the pullout animations also quicker. I don't see any other change needed.

Iso should be lower after his nerfs. You have to think a lot more about when to best use your double tap: because it lasts 8 less seconds you can easily waste it or get yourself killed trying to get use out of it. I still thoroughly enjoy him though because I love his vulnerable ability.

I think harbour deserves C tier as i have lately seen them use their high tide to make cubbies for themselves but also for teamates, as i have seemed to be playing with harbour mains in some matches and genuinely think he is still not great, but deserves C tier at least

Mixed on a lot of this list, personally. I believe deadlock is a bit better. I think Phoenix is more C tier but i can see him being B too, reyna i think is A but B is fine too, and sova is definitely an easy A. Very flexible. Idk how I feel about Clove being above Omen for climbing but maybe..
Phoenix does everything which is why hes good for comp specifically, not pro play, u can carry on phoenix so hard with his damage, heal, flash and wall
only problem i have is you barley touched on how broken some agents are for different maps
As an average solo/duo player, Deadlock is leaps and bounds better than you are tryna make her seem to be. Not my main but she excells on Abyss and Bind and sometimes Haven

Brim is in my opinion too hig , cordination is a bitch .
Gecko should be S just because you can play him anywere and he will perform (also being the best innitiatot in the game rn)
Deadlock isnt that bad , sure she isnt crazy good but still Better than sage who is literally usless in most scenarios (also she Is a worst deadlock in every way possible except for 1 map wich is icebox)

It's not that hard to kill a sliding neon.
I get 1 tapped all the time mid slide.
And while bunny hopping.
I also 1 tap the other neons while they slide and bunnyhop.
I think people are also understanding how to bend bullets more.
It is nice that there's no more movement error, makes it fun to slide and get multiple headshots in 1 slide by just holding it at the correct level and spraying
And I'm in bronze, I'm pretty sure everyone in silver or higher has better aim than us.
I feel like having 2 relay bolts was better.
They could've just reduced the slide regeneration to 1 kill.
Honestly I should hesitate a bit more. I keep dying to kj mines because I'm charging in.
And sometimes I listen to teammates and they keep getting me killed because they really don't understand how fast we move as Neon.
